UPDATE
Helloooo, it has been a while since I have did an update on my journal. But.... I have ran into some slight problems. I found WPM (White Powdery Mildew). I am hoping to shed some light on this issue for others! I first noticed it on my furthest along plant that was looking a little rough around the edges lol.
I probably pulled around 30 or more leaves from this baby that were either almost dead or had any sign of WPM on it. I got looking around at my other 4 plants and noticed some spots of WPM on them as well but not nearly as bad as the one in the picture.
Here are some pictures of the WPM on some leaves
.
I then made a panic post on the forums here to assure myself that it was WPM. Not to my surprise it was. I then start frantically researching it and what not. There are all kinds of conflicting information on it about it being systemic or not. My personal opinion is that it is not systemic but it is just very easily spreadable but I am no scientist lol!
After getting info from the lovely people on this forum I went ahead and sprayed all the plants with 2 teaspoons of apple cider vinegar to 1 liter of water. Then the next day I went ahead and sprayed with 30% milk 70% water mixture. I believe I should have done this in the opposite order of milk mixture first then apple cider afterwards. But o well live and learn! I guess apple cider vinegar helps more with prevention of it by making the surface of the leaves acidic. So far it seems to have worked though. Today I am picking up some Potassium Bicarbonate to use every 5 days as a preventative measure. Thanks to all the people on these forums!
I spent a lot of time pulling branches and opening up all my plants to help prevent this issue. I will post pictures of that later!
I believe the cause of the issue was bad weather with lots of rain the past 2 weeks. Pair that with our horrid humidity here in South Western Ontario. For example today is 20 degrees Celsius with 93% humidity.....
Next outdoor grow I also plan to pick more resistant strains to our weather. Ak47 and Blue dream were not the best choice I dont think lol.
Stay tuned for more pictures today of some of my tying skills!
