whats that mean haha. I am going to let them naturally flowerLooking amazing, any plans on defol or Lolipop for them?
How much longer till ya flower them?
Gonna wait to naturally flower from the light or cover them for 12/12?
I am for sure going to do that! Considering its impossible for light to hit EVERYTHING. When should this be done? I am expecting to start flowering in a few weeksDefoliation is just the removing of leaves covering bud sites, some people entirely remove like everything but the top leaves, others selectively remove as they see fit, like if a bud site is covered I tuck the leaf or remove it,
And lolipopping is removing like 1/3-1/2 of the bottom of the plant that's gonna be like tiny little buds that get like no light so it gets removed to promote more growth on the upper part of your plant. This is my plant I've lolipopped. Everything below the net got removed since it's going to be out of the light, now all the plants energy will be up top.
Ahh gotcha!I actually Lolipopped before I went into flower this time around I used it as an opportunity to take a bunch of cuttings to try to root,
Defolations a very opinionated topic there's plenty of people that are for it, and against it.
I defoliate anything past 21 days in flower roughly - after your strain stops its stretch it's time, I don't do a very heavy defoliation I'm pretty selective but there's others that remove damn near everything from the plant.
Some people do this multiple times through the grow, like day 42 is another time people like to defol. I did one defol day 21, than did selective leaf removals thru the grow as I saw fit. If it can't be tucked and is blocking any bud sites, I remove it.
Plants are looking amazing bud.
My only worry is I hope I didn’t do it too far into flowering. I checked them this morning and they still look super healthyYour plants shouldn't skip a beat with that hair cut, what you're doing is pushing alll that energy to the bud sites on those branches.
Well, it's really they pushing like carbs and sugars I believe but energy is easier to say!
Okay good! Stuff you read can be so harsh. People are like if you cut anything off during flowering and your whole plant can stop producing buds lol. From my first experience these plants are resilient. I have changed soil on them twice transplanted 4 times haha. Started with liquid nutrients indoors, then switched to a soil top dress outdoors. I am going to give these 2 a more conservative haircut tonight!Ahh man, you're fine they just started flowering by the looks of it ! It looks like you did it at a great time.
Those look amazing! These two babies will be getting good hair cuts soon, as we're nearing the 3 week mark of flower.. some plants are touchier than others, some people have allegedly Hermed plants from too much stress like heavy defolations, I'm not sure. I don't defol very heavy as I'm still a new grower and leaves are how our plants communicate with us. So some are definetly needed.
First time grower?? Wow! Your plants look amazing. Well done! I wish I could grow outdoors. Here is another update. I gave 2 of the plants a haircut today getting rid of all bud sites lower on the stems that wouldn’t amount to anything because of being shaded a lot of the time. I hope I did this correct lol. I think there is still more to be done but I took quite a bit off so I want to see how they react to it. The other plants will be trimmed up tomorrow.
Thanks just hoping I didnt over trim to late hahaFirst time grower?? Wow! Your plants look amazing. Well done! I wish I could grow outdoors.

I figured they would be pretty tough lolNah, they look fine. You're not going to hurt that plant by removing a few leaves. That is a big, healthy plant with lots of leaves for photosynthesis.
