Happy Saturday everyone. I've got an update for you all. I got my hands on a microscope which has allowed me to take these wonderful closeups of the trichosomes.

I would love to hear feedback. Transparent or milky?

It's watering and feeding day and that means a progress update to share with all of you. First of all: the clones

I put them with their jiffy pellets in soil and they seem to be retaining water a lot. I was a little worried about how much light they're receiving in the tent with all the other plants so I put them on top of a box to get them closer to the lights and above the canopy of the others. Hopefully that will help.

Next up: The pineapple express girls - day 53. Pineapple Express Girl 1 (on the right)

seems to be flowering well, the other one hasn't started yet so I suspect they've got a month or so left, at least.

Now for the Blueberry Kush girls, aka my freak show. The tallest one has grown another 5 cm/ 2 in but its the smallest one that seems to be furthest along in terms of flowering. I'm hoping to at least get something from her. But as promised, I'm keeping the experiment alive.

Here are the Girl Scout Cookies. Day 67 - The smell super strong now and the buds keep fattening. The yellowed/brown leaves don't seem to be recovering but the newer green leaves are doing well. I keep checking the trichosomes every day but I don't want to rush them. I want to get a good head high so I think I should be aiming for mostly milky with some amber.

Please let me know if you guys have advice.

My Northern Lights - Day 67 . The small one didn't need watering yet so I'll wait till she's dry. They're also partially milky but still a lot of transparent Trichs.

And here are the OG kush girls, also day 67 They're also fattening up nicely and they're now on 1 watering/feeding a week.

What do the experts think? These are some samples to check the trichosomes with the microscope. I'd love to hear opinions

Thanks Penny! The plan is to dry them in the same tent, so I'll need rope and then the mason jars for curing. How many jars should I get? It's my first time after all. I'm thinking they'll need another week or 2 before I cut them. So like day 80 maybe?

For me I plan on 1 ounce per jar. I do my initial cure in turkey bags inside of 5 gallon buckets.

Good advice. I'll get turkey bags too then, that's probably easier in the beginning. Any rough estimate based on my pictures how many ounces I'll get in total? I'll need 8 jars minimum per plant, so as not to mix.

Thanks for that estimation. I wouldn't have been able to estimate myself this time. I'm curious but won't rush anything. I'd rather wait for the biggest crop possible. Thanks for answering all my questions Penny!

Also when checking trichomes for best accuracy look on the calyx not the sugar leaves! The leaves will always ripen faster than the calyx thenself so checking the top calyx on lower Budsites and compare to top Budsites will give you the best result.

I still see a lot of clear and some milky. O amber I’m with Penny at least 10days!

Kushy..clones need little light. Did you say you moved them closer to the light? Keep an eye on them. I use a 24 watt led to clone. Don't wanna burn them up.
