First Grow: WW Fem Auto & CB Dream

yeah thats kinda what happend the second time.. did not smoke before so shaking and everything but steady. the first time i was so high that i did not think of the things that could go wrong. also my hand was almost perfectly steady.. never try it again since the second time hehe

Sometimes doing nothing is the best.

How long are you going to be on a 18-hour (or more?) light schedule? You have three each, auto-flowering and photoperiodic. That and container size will play their part in plant size. If you limit your auto-flowering plants' container size to two gallons, it'll keep them smaller. They also might cut their vegetative period short a few days, IDK.

I forget - are you growing all six in soil or soiless, or...?

Regarding the issue of light schedule, any suggestions on what I should do? I am growing the WW autos and CB Dream (not auto). Once the WW starts to flower do I need to go to 12/12? What will that do to the CB Dream? Or can I extend the 18/6 even though the WW has started to flower?

The photo will begin to flower under 12/12, the auto will grow slowly under 12/12. The auto will flower out faster under 18/6 while the photo continues in veg.

Very confused about when to water - i soaked on planting - have not watered since two days ago - soil still damp.
Just spray water the leaves 2-4x a day...soil only needs to be lightly moist as the roots develop. Overwatering is #1 mistake.

I will be trans potting into Foxfarm ocean forest FX14000 in 5 gal grow bags - currently in Black Gold seedling mix

I have been agonizing over light schedule. Thinking I would wait to see when the WW starts to flower where things are at and decide, with input from the community, what to do then.

R u suggesting smaller pots for the autos?
Stick with 5 gallons or larger. 20/4 is what many breeders recommend running autos.

Oops, didn't see you were mixing photos and autos. You can grow both of them at 20/4 (though for a photo I would compromise a little and drop it to 18/6 or even 16/8) and then after 6-8 weeks you can flip the light to 12/12 and that will activate the photo's genetics to begin flower. The autos will begin to flower by showing pistils in approx 4-5 weeks...they will continue to grow even @ 12/12...

It all works out in the end. :goodluck:

Excellent - I now have a plan - Thanks!

CONCERNED - should I be? Two of my six plants are droopy. They have been a bit droopy from the start. Others are doing OK but progressing what seems slowly to me. Do I ave a problem? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for all the advice. Based on input I have received here and in other journals I reduced watering, moved lights to 30 inches and added Rapidstart when watering (every watering?) Plants seem to be responded to these measures - yeah!
Its hard to resist watering every day. I wait till my soil looks and feels dry, then i wait one more day ! So far so good with this watering regimen for me

You can take a solo cup of dry soil then lift and compare that with a fully watered cup. Don’t water again until the plant cup is at least half the weight of the dry cup. In soil cannabis benefits from a wet/ dry cycle.
