First Grow: WW Fem Auto & CB Dream

when to water - i soaked on planting - have not watered since two days ago - soil still damp.

I'd wait a bit if the soil is still damp but I'd also add a 'humidity tent' A sandwich bag or water bottle with the top cut off will both work

six in a 4x4 grow tent or is that too many

My tent is 4.5x4.5 and I'll have 5 plants this grow. It'll be a bit tight but will definitely work. My last grow was just 2 scrogged plants and they nearly filled the tent.

If the cups are already soaked, I wouldn't bag them - it'll likely take long enough to dry out as it is in that case (unless OP is in the Atacama Desert ;) ). The seedlings are too small to account for anything to speak of in the way of transpiration, so evaporation will be 90+% of the soil drying process until they get a few leaves.

Another question... started with three CB Dream and three White Widow/fem/auto. I did not think all six would make it this far. If all six survive can I grow six in a 4x4 grow tent or is that too many?

How long are you going to be on a 18-hour (or more?) light schedule? You have three each, auto-flowering and photoperiodic. That and container size will play their part in plant size. If you limit your auto-flowering plants' container size to two gallons, it'll keep them smaller. They also might cut their vegetative period short a few days, IDK.

I forget - are you growing all six in soil or soiless, or...?

I will be trans potting into Foxfarm ocean forest FX14000 in 5 gal grow bags - currently in Black Gold seedling mix

I have been agonizing over light schedule. Thinking I would wait to see when the WW starts to flower where things are at and decide, with input from the community, what to do then.

R u suggesting smaller pots for the autos?

Help - shells stuck - anything I can/should do?

I'm in:cheer:

How is the seedshell now? i once succesfully did a mini surgery with two needles crossed... it was hard and i did it twice now. once succesfull, the other.... not so LOL.

The soaking method(can i say it like that?) as given above sounds safer imo.

Anyway i'm in and ready to see them grow up :slide:

Welcome - the water method seemed to work - played with tweezers but felt like I was on the edge of doing more harm than good.

if it works i would try to much else... i know the feeling and it is exiting and scrary at the same time right?

The addiction is strong for sure, last summer i "just tossed a seed in the ground" and now i'm thinking about it all the time and cant stop trying and messing up(learning), sharing and meeting so much people!

its good....so good...

The old fingers just don't work the way they used to. In my younger days I could repair a wire in the middle of a magnetic core memory module. I've even done it at sea. No longer. I have trouble with fine motor skills. I'd be as likely to snip the top of the plant off as remove the seed's coat.

yeah thats kinda what happend the second time.. did not smoke before so shaking and everything but steady. the first time i was so high that i did not think of the things that could go wrong. also my hand was almost perfectly steady.. never try it again since the second time hehe
