First Grow White Widow Auto Flower Feminized Soil

Hello guys,
Been 36 days now. Humidity was at 50% this morning and temperature at 27 C. I used the moisture meter on the plants and it was showing me that they are still moist. This means it wasn’t broken when I used it earlier and I had just been severely under watering them. Measured the tallest plant and it is at 8 inches now. Noticing growth on all but one.

Opps...the girl on the bottom is not a happy girl.

Hi everyone,

Been 45 days now. Finally gave them a watering after 11 days. Majority of pots were showing dry on moisture meter and were light to carry. Gave them two gallons of water split between 5 plants. I also added 100% of recommended nutrient dosage.

For each gallon of water I added following:

5 ml Micro
1.25 ml Gro
5 ml Bloom

The first gallon of water the PH was 6.51 and PPM was at 573. Adding this much nutrients in raised my PH significantly. The second gallon of water the PH was 6.68 and PPM was 782. I added a bit too much PH down and had to adjust it, that’s why PPM increased. Lets see how they respond.

Most are looking great. That top pick looks like a mag lockout. I have the link to the problem thread in my sig or you can google it to compare. I had a few lockout on me this year. Some never recovered but that growing for ya..lol.

Hey guys,
Been 47 days and two days since last watering and feeding. Unfortunately it looks like a third plant is getting sick. The issue might’ve not been light burn all along. I have two that are thriving , two sick ones and the youngest plant is looking really sick. I don’t think they liked the feeding I gave them. Now should I flush the three plants that are sick and leave the two that are thriving alone? Let me know what you guys recommended. Definitely not using Happy Frog soil by itself next time. It looks like leafs are thinning out on one of the sick plants. Wonder if humidifier not reaching it.

Some are looking good. The others not so much. If you don't have a ph meter there's no need to flush. You have way to adjust. Happy frog is supposed to be buffered but I've read some places where folks were having if issues with out of range pH. If you get a ph pen research how to do a soil slurry test and see where you at. I'm guessing you be surprised at where they are. A tds meter is a handy tool to have too. Something to put on your Xmas list. Hang in there bro it gets easier as you go along and learn some basics.

Hey
I do have PH pen and TDS meter. I will do the slurry test on the soil in next couple if days and will get back to you with results.

Hi guys,
Been 49 days now. I just flushed all the plants with two gallons of water. I realized as I was writing this that I didn’t PH balance the water. In the past, the PH of my tap water is about 7.5. I could flush again tomorrow with PH balance water but don’t want over water them. The biggest plant is showing signs of early nute burn at the top. Only one plant doesn’t have any burn at all. I think the problem with my last feeding is each of my plants is at different growth stage and I gave them one mixture for all. I brought the lights much closer to the plants because i dont think this light burn

Hi guys,
Been 58 days now. The sick plants are getting worse. Wanted to flush again but pots still wet. Anyone recommends cutting the dead leafs off? Or flushing again before pots dry up.

That sucks mate. They're not happy little ladies are they. Wait for others to chime in but I'm not sure a couple of those will be salvageable. :( Some of the leaves on the healthier ones look very plump which is a sign of over watering. Due to the early issues they probably don't have a strong root system and are in big pots.

Hey guys,

Emilya responded to my post and she believes I’ve starved the plants. She said Happy Frog soil only has little nitrogen in it and using just that for four weeks is pushing it. She also said my nutrients are for hydro grows only and don’t work for soil :(. I’ll buy other nutrients and see if that helps the plants. Definitely starting a new batch tho

Hi guys,
Sick plants are not doing well. Full stem with leaf fell off one of the sick plants. I gave them their biggest watering ever this morning. 1 gallon of water for each pot. I added Cal-Mag for first time ever, 5 ml, then added 1.25 ml micro, 1.25 ml Gro and 1.25 ml Bloom for each gallon. The sick plants are getting super dry. The healthiest plant is showing burn signs on newest buds. I managed the collect some run off water and found the PH at 6.01. I need to search into what this means. The water I gave them had Ph 6.61. Will be ordering two other PH meters just incase mine is not functioning properly and will calibrate it tomorrow. I would like to figure out where I’m going wrong before starting new grow.

Frustrating. Didn't you say the nutes you had were for hydro? Also they had a pretty rough start and if the roots weren't strong to begin with the problems can just get worse and you're fighting a losing battle. You've learnt from this attempt so don't be afraid to use what you've learnt and start some more. I feel your pain though bro. My grow isn't really going to plan right now either.

My initial research was correct. They are designed for Hydro, but work just fine for soil. The company promotes them for soil and Hydro. I did have a rough start with the under watering. Emilya is telling me that my PH should be between 6.2 -6.3. I been aiming for between 6.5-6.8.

Sorry to hear about your grow bro. I think I’m just going to stop filling my humidifier and let the plants do their thing for a couple of days and see how they respond to this feeding. I’m going to start looking into other seeds to buy.

Hi guys,

So Emilya recommends I PH my water between 6.2-6.3. She said 6.5-6.8 is too high. The buds on the healthiest plant got bit bigger last night and the plant can’t support the weight anymore, so its leaning. I left the run off water in trays under the pots(not touching) and it brought my humidity to 48% without using humidifier. This is good. If I can use humidifier less. Overall plants don’t look worse than before the feeding

Yeah I want to start in smaller cups, more perlite and maybe even mix two soil strains with lighter nutrients.
This hobby can be frustrating at times. This is a one player game really. You may get opinions and advice but in the end you are the one with all the decisions to make. It's good to see you did some research and found the problem.
