Hey guys,

This is my first grow ever. I‘m so excited!!

I purchased five White Widow Auto Flower Feminized seeds from Crop King Seeds. Here are some information about my setup :

Tent size : 96” x 48”x 80”

Light : LED 1200 watts full spectrum (1200 is not the actual wattage)

Ventilation: 6 inch carbon filter with outtake fan. Four ventilation flaps open and I have a 9 inch fan inside of the tent aimed just about

Medium: I will be using Happy Frog soil exclusively.

Fertilizer: Calmag and General Hyroponic Trio. Planning on starting week four.

Water: Filtered water with PH level of 7.4 and PPM: 184. I could use PH down to lower it a bit but I feel like it’s not necessary. If anyone recommends otherwise let me know.

Container: 3 Gallon fabric pots placed on upside down dish rack.

There are some pictures of my setup below. I realize that my light is not enough for my setup but winging it for now due to budget constraints.

I’m growing in my basement. Normally temperatures are about 17 C and humidity at 40%. I had to buy a heater my grow room and a humidifier inside of my tent. I also have a dehumidifier on stand by incase needed.

I germinated my seeds using the cup and paper towel method. I had them sit in the cup for about 18 hours. Had four of them sink to the bottom of the cup after about a couple of hours and one didn’t sink till the 16th hour mark. I placed the cup and paper towel inside of my tent with humidity at 40% and temperature at 23.9 C. I didn’t need to remoisten the paper towel again until about day and a half later. I over soaked the paper towel initially. Two days later all five seeds sprouted. One of the roots poked through the paper towel but the rest were easy to remove and plant. I had my ventilation off during the germination period. Turned it on when I officially planted. I initially set my humidifier on high at 70%. The humidifier ended up running out of water over night. I lowered it to 60% with low setting , lasting much long now. I used about 7 Liters of soil to fill my pots. Thank god I bought two big bags. Transferred my seeds to pots on July 14 ( Two days ago) at 11:00 PM. I watered all the pots with spray bottle until top layer is soaked. Been just watering with spray bottle whenever the top dries out. If anyone can recommend when to start fully watering the medium until I get run off that would be great. Checked on the seeds today and one of the seeds sprouted through the soil. I can see another one about to pop up as well. Been running the light on for 24 Hours but will start switching them off tonight and stick to 18/6 schedule. Since my light is weak does anyone recommend just doing a 24 hours on or 20/4 schedule instead ?

I lowered my humidity to 60% today and temperature at 24.5 C. I’ve lowered the heat on my heater. I would like to drop the temperature to about 21 C. I want to try and follow VPD chart as it seems to help grow bigger plants. I did notice really small bug in one my pots.

Here are some pictures of my setup and seeds sprouting.

Will keep you guys updated.

Nice clean grow you got going on there. 7.4 Ph level is a little high for my experience. 6.5-6.8 Ph has been the money spot for using Fox Farm soil for me. With autos here is a grow style I used with great yields and super easy sense your using Fox farm products. Fill pot with Fox Farm ocean put a empty solo cut in the middle and pack Ocean around it then slide cup out and add happy frog or Light Warrior in solo cup hole. Plant seed there then when it grows it will reach the fox ocean for nutes and all you will have to add during grow is water and cal/mag no nutes until very end if needed. I done full grows many times with Fox ocean without needing nutes and only had to add nutes to the very few that veg long. Anyways Very nice setup wish you the best take care
:passitleft:

Hi CO,

Thanks for that great information. When I water tonight I will adjust the PH to be between 6.5 and 6.8. Any advice when to give them full watering with run off session? Been just using spray bottle so far.

I will try your cup method with my next grow and let you know how it goes.

During seedling stage I only use spray bottle around top soil. When the plant gets to the second node aka (each set of leafs is a node) I do a light water around the outside very slow not to up root the plant hints water the outside soil area. I always lift one side of pot to feel the weight. It should feel almost empty when it is time to water.

Hey guys,

just got home and got my water ready. I tested the PH of my filtered water And got 7.4. I used one drop of PH Down and it brought my PH to 6.3. Shout out to CO for the tip. My humidity is perfect at 60% and my temperature is at a very nice spot of 21.7 C. PPM of my water is 194.

After I got my water ready , I went to check on the plants. I saw four of the seeds sprouted and couldn’t find the fifth. After a closer inspection I noticed it was stuck under a piece of wood, pushed it aside. Hopefully it’s not damaged. Top of soil was dry. Watered around the plants with a spray bottle. Here are some pictures. I’m turning off the lights tonight for first time so they can rest. Going to wait for some of the soil to dry first. Anyone know if I should fill the hole where the seed sprouted with soil or not ? The first picture is the one that was trapped. Will update again in morning.

Hey guys,

Woke up at 7 AM to turn the light back on for the ladies. (Ordered a programmable outlet so I don’t need to physically turn it off and on). Saw the soil was still wet because lights were off and I watered them just before I turned it off ( I hope this isn’t hurting them). Left the light on for about 7 hours before checking and watering them. Temperatures with light off were 1 C cooler at 20.4C and humidity was perfect at 60%. Here are some updated pictures. Looks like couple of leafs are growing. Does anyone recommend lowering night time temperature even more ? I could lower heater setting

Keep temp right where it is at. Try not to change their environment to much until they get around forth node high (node is each set of leafs area). Hardest part for most new growers is just letting the plants grow :)

Hey guys,
Just got home from work. Noticed my humidity was a bit low at 52% and my humidifier was off for some reason, will have to keep an eye on that. Watered the plants using Emilya’s watering technique where she waters around the plant in a circle to make the roots stretch out. I had the light off at this yesterday but just going to wait for the water to dry out Before turning them off. I don’t want to risk getting any fungus or mold. Also just smoked a nice big joint in my tent for the first time, was good. Here are updated photos of my ladies:

It’s been almost three days and a half since planting in the soil. After having a conversation about VPD and temperature in another thread, I’m increasing my grow tent temperature to hit 25.5 C (78 F) and increased my humidity to 65%. Reason being is the core temperature of the plant is usually lower 2-3 C lower. Will see how the plants respond to this. I want to fix my watering schedule. Not liking that I’m watering before turning off the light. Here are some updated pictures:

Hey guys,

it’s officially been almost four days. Just checked on my babies. Humidity at 60% and temperature at 74.5 F (23.1 C). Will increase humidity on humidifier even more. Since temperature went up, humidity dropped a bit. Shoulda been at 65%. Will increase temperature a bit more as well. Not really a problem but could turn into one. One of my pots is staying wetter than the rest. Posted a picture. I still watered all of them. PH of water fed is 6.3 and PPM 191.

Good morning everyone,

it’s been four days and a half. I Just turned on the lights for the ladies. I’m maintaining 65% humidity, lights out temperature is at 74.48 F (23.6 C) and my lights on is at 77.72 F (25.4). I should be able to maintain this temperature for a while now. Lowered the fan direction on the floor so its hitting the ladies a bit more. One pot is still wetter than the rest but the wind is hitting it stronger now. The plant itself looks really strong so maybe the rest need more watering. I’m noticing that two plants are bending a bit towards the light. The fan is hitting the front two pots the most, hopefully no wind burn. Another plant is about to shed its seed. Won’t water them yet for another 4 hours. I’m watering them when I get home from work around 11PM and at 3 PM before I go to work. Here are updated photos:

Hey guys,

It’s been over 5 days now. I managed to take off a shell from one of the plants. Only one shell remains. I noticed soil level dropped a bit. Wondering if I should add more soil to the pots. Temperature was at 25.8 C (78.44 F) and humidity was low at 45% because my humidifier ran out of water. Will make sure this doesn’t happen again.Top later of soil was dry , sprayed each pot 5 times before smoking a joint and then spraying more times. Considering adding another light. Will update again in 12 hours. They seem to be growing most during lights out.

I use water as lubricant when removing shells I find it goes smoother if I wet it a few times for a hour then it is moist and slides but your one drop of ph down is doing too much almost lol 6.5 is the lowest you want to be atm according to other peoples experience maybe put the ph down into a cup of water to dilute and using half that cup of water see if you are closer to 6.5-6.8 looking great

Hey,

Thanks for the tip. I will try to water it. I been avoiding watering the plants directly but I’ll spray just the one. I will work with my water like you suggested and try to get it closer to 6.5. I bought my PH Down from local hydroponic store. Will post picture below.

Looking good, I'll follow along for the ride bro. I just popped some new seeds of my own the other day, I like watching autos not sure if I'd grow them though I like the longer veg to be able to train the plants.
Hello :),
Welcome aboard. Would love to see some pictures of your setup/ladies. Once I master a couple of auto grows I will try regular ones and see how that goes.

I'm working on my second grow ever, my first grow came out to 4.3 ounces dry, and 1 ounce of trim, very happy with it was only one plant.
I grew blue mystic in a 2x2x4 under a Mars hydro 300W(128W true) blurple, hoping to get another amazing yield this run as I'm close to flipping to flower now, and going with two plants one in a 5 gal one in a three.

with the water i meant like one-two drops from a syringe or a mist or two only on the seed pod to soften the shell and lube it, not like watering the plants and ph down looks good it is just highly concentrated that is why i suggested a dilution as you are mixing it into a small enough quantity of water that the one drop made a huge change. Happy growing

Hey,
I misted the seed twice just now. I managed to get my PH to 6.77 by using a knife and dipping just the tip. Took me three dips to get 6.77. Thanks for the tip :)
