First Grow! So Very Excited To Share The Progress Day By Day

Day 80: September 11, 2018 - I flushed last night because I feared a nutrient lockout. I noticed an almost instant fix for the health of the leaves. They went from bending down quite a bit, to back in the upright position. I also trimmed a handful of the more giant fan leaves that seemed out of proportion. Started to see a handful of milky trichomes too, so I'm hoping this beauty has only 2-3 weeks left before I get to chop her down!!!

Day 83: September 14, 2018 - Temperature 75 and humidity 50%. I flushed again yesterday because I was afraid of a nutrient lockout. Many of the top leaves are starting to turn purple, indicating a lack of phosphorus (at least I think). But after flushing twice, the purpling has continued. My friend says it just means everything is nearing its end. I can see that as a real possibility because A. the nugs are fattening like crazy, B. the trichomes are like 50% milky right now with a handful of amber colored and like 40% clear. That's the average for the plant, the top nugs are getting real close to like 75% milky.

Any knowledge on the purpling on the leaves would be appreciated! I included an "under the hood" pic, and I'm hoping someone else can see the purpling I'm talking about with the leaves.

p.s. that's a deodorant stick behind that nug as a reference for size.

Hi,

Your plants are ok, If I were you I wouldn't have flushed many times like that. But now it's done. For the nest time, think that is a stressful time for your plant, and you dont want many stress during bloom.

I hoped for you that your nugs would have been bigger, but well at lest it fattening =) You're a near the end don't worry about nutrient block or anything else, it's to late now. Just feed with clean water and cut when the trichomes will be like you want it.

You did it mate, your first grow is on it end.

Well done ++

it turns out the flushes weren't really too soon. I think they were just right. Going to harvest on Saturday! Will keep you posted. Those hairs are starting to darken down and curl down a bit. Trichomes are at about 50/60% milky. I have to do it saturday because it's the only day i can do it. going to water lightly on thursday.

I'm tempted to do final two days with no light... any believers of that in here? I want someone to sell me.

So very close! I just got another pair of shears today for trimming. Looks like saturday is the big day.

If you have any personal favorite techniques on how to properly trim dry and harvest, i'm all ears.

This little guy is dried and curing now. I chopped two small branches from the bottom. I'm hoping come two weeks it will beak nicely into a little splif.

Saturday is day 91, and i'm really really hoping she'll be ready by then because if it becomes detrimental for the plant to wait another full week i'm screwed.

Day 88: September 19, 2018 - BIG HUMIDITY PROBLEMS!!! Yesterday and today have proved terrible for the humidity in the tent. It reached as high as 91% yesterday, and stayed around 65% all day today. Very concerned because of how late into flower it is. I just picked up a box of Damprid that comes with 3 bags. As a reminder (or if you haven’t followed the thread) it is a 2x2x4 tent.

Does anyone have any experience with Damprid? Also, I accidentally got the “fresh” scented ones. Will this be a problem? They basically smell like dryer sheets and it would kill me if the pungent stank is taken away.

(Snapped a few pics while I checked on her humidity while she sleeps. I couldn’t resist because I swear they look 3x as shiny and wet as yesterday.)

Hi,

They look like yummy and frosty =)

Humidity is indeed an issue. I would have avoid any scented one. But it's better than nothing. I don't think the scented one will does something it's not an ionizer^^ but better be safe than sorry.

Yep I remember 2x2x4 we have the same grow room, I am almost at harvest too =)

Keep the nice work !

-EDIT-

The damn rain is making my house feel like a humidor. Still no difference in the humidity after several adjustments. I'm going to give it through the night to fix itself before I put one of the damprid in tomorrow during the day.

Day 90: September 21, 2018 - I’m still having humidity problems, especially in the evenings. It’s sitting at about 65% consistently.

I decided to put the Damprid in the tent. So far it hasn’t collected any water, and has only succeeded in making my tent smell weird.

Luckily, no signs of mold.

Day 91: September 22, 2018 - Well... I started to get too worried about the possibility of mold because humidity was 60% or above for several days. So... I CHOPPED!!

You could turn on both light switches. Humidity will lower as the room gets warmer. Probably drop it 10%.
One of the first things I tried actually! Unfortunately, the tent gets remarkably hot with both veg and flower light on

Bad pics, but here they are hanging.
