First Grow - Pineapple Chunk/Tangerine Dream

Supercrop update: here are the pics two days after supercroppin em, they have already starting pointing back up towards the light. Two of my bigger branches I had to tie up until they heal more because they were falling on the smaller tangerine plants. Anyways let me know what you guys think! :thanks:

Just curious. Did you "super crop" after watering them of before. It has been suggested that cropping while they are thirsty is easier.

I cropped em about 24 hours after watering I think. Im not sure exactly but their soil was still deff moist. Ill keep that in mind for next time, prob makes it easier without the added water weight. Thanks for the feedback!

There was an analogy that cropping a thirsty plant was like bending a hose that didn't have water in it and cropping after watering was like trying to bend a hose with water and a closed nozzle. I think it was mcloadie that said this. I am not totally convinced this is true, but I do think about it. I personally don't have enough experience to confirm or deny its validity.

Looking good over here. Your Tangerine's look great. I see nice bright green stems and perfect leaves. You are doing everything right! Interesting supercrop info. I had always heard the opposite about that topic. I always followed the advice to do it soon after watering (within 24 hours). I stuck to this as the plants seemed to be stiffer and more brittle when drier. I snapped a few stems trying to supercrop an almost dry plant. You will have to try it and see what works best for you.

You will have a full tent when you flip. When is the date to flower?

BackPack,

You call that a grow? That's a tropical rainforest! Nice Pics from the backpacking trip, were those Merrill's I spotted??? Don't know why it took me this long, but subbed!

:Namaste:

I am leaning more towards Steppenwolf's statement. But maybe there are variables. Maybe as a plant ages and the stems harden it would be better to crop after watering? And maybe before watering if the stem is still very green/soft? Honestly I have no idea. I thought it would be good conversation.

Later.

Alright guys just got back from my backpacking trip and gonna upload some pics once I get settled in. Dad never even looked in my garage so did not have to explain anything lol. Anyways the trip was a huge success did around 19 miles got a lot of pics and plan to upload some pics of my plants around 9pm tonight right before the light comes on! Stay tuned!

I almost posting asking how things went. But found this. Glad everything worked out.

I am curious to see how well that filter in the plastic box works out when you plants start smelling.

Interesting, well looks like I cropped em at the right time then! I flipped the lights 12/12 on 30JUN2013

The plastic box is actually just a box where my fan and duct muffler are with added foam to keep down on the noise. I have a Phresh carbon filter inside my tent.
Sorry I just can't shut up tonight.

Now after the super cropping... throw in a couple toppings and some FIM's. Or maybe you did already :)
I started topping and FIMing about a week after I transplanted the clones all throughout the veg phase.

Damn you guys lol was away from the computer for like 4 hours and missed all the action! lol
Thanks for the feedback guys I greatly appreciate:roorrip: it!

Just went through your journal. Your girls are looking adorable. I've just made a decision myself tonight to invest in a grow tent. Also those backpacking trip photos blew my mind. Ive never seen anything like that in person. Just the thought of going outside & not having to see people amazes me!

Thanks for stopping by and the positive words :thanks: Gotta love the great outdoors!

Nice job on the supercropping. Whos blooming? -the pineapple's or the tangerine's? Anyway your girls look great and congrats on the buds.:cheer:
BTW after 7 weeks of flower my pineapples are foxtailing- sure makes for a wierd looking cola- going to be interesting to see if your pineapples do the same- I've heard it can be a strain thing.

Will update some pics later this evening when the lights turn on. Just got back from a family car camping trip up at Lost lake near Mount Hood! Had a good time, but every time I go car camping I wake up with a hangover! haha! Anyways thanks for the feed back :thanks:

FC we will have to see what happens with mine, both of my plants are flowering right now and the tangerine is looking sexy. The Pineapples are hogging the tent and it is sure full next time I'm going to stick with 4 - 5 plants that way I will have a little more room to work.
