600w and 400w temps are easy to control for most areas, but summer can get hot. A good ballast warranty is key because they can unexpectedly go out at any time.

That is when my next grow will most likely start mid july heat in TN can be 90-102 at times where I am at

I'm subbed. To answer your questions, when the plant is small, topping is better IMO because its easier to control and LST the plant, I usually FIM right before flower to try and get multiple tops from 1 branch. Also, for a 4x4 tent you would only need a 240W LED. My grow is 3x2 but I'm using a 240W light and the specs say its good for up to 5x5 area, although 4x4 would be the perfect max area for it.

to try an answer, girlz looks pretty nice and i would top the tallest of these beauties, to try to have an even canopy-lamp distance for both of them.
when do you plan to flip them? i would do a bit of LST before flip, like a 2 weeks work, light bending just to start; and increase the training as it grow/recover in the second week then flower end of the third... it's only a suggestion maybe you have your own plans for them.
anyway keep them green as they are and sure you'll win.

@EC the tallest is an auto so not to much I am going to do to her don't want any stunting as far as she goes
@Les nope the KC45s I bought are regular no feminized but I have some good news which I will be posting when the UPS man gets here later

If you get a 600 mh/hps you can dim it to 400; but I have read in various threads here that$100 - $150 per month on power bill with LEDs.
