First Grow & Legally In Canada

This is my first ever grow but because of Canada's recent legalization I am going to try my hand at growing my own medicine. I am going to be starting them indoors and as the weather improves they will all finish in a heated greenhouse. I would really appreciate any comments or help from the community and I will try my best to keep everyone updated and informed. I have been doing a lot of research online and reading up in books and I feel ready but below I will list some more details.

SEEDS
Gorilla Zkittlez
-Indica dominant
-56-63 day flowering
-Outdoor harvest mid October

Gorilla Glue#4
-Hybrid
-60 day flowering
-Outdoor harvest late September

Super Lemon Haze
-Sativa dominant
-70 day flowering
-Outdoor harvest late October

King Tut

-Sativa dominant
-53-63 day flowering
-Outdoor harvest mid October

LIGHTS
While they are indoors and seedlings they will be under some good florescent lights that I don't know a lot about but there are 2 different color bulbs to get a better spectrum.

As soon as they are big enough and it looks like spring is on its way I will start transitioning them to bask under the sun and let nature handle it.

ENVIRONMENT
Indoors they are in a home built wood frame poly covered area sitting just above some heat pads on low.

Outdoors they will be in a heated greenhouse so that I can control the environment especially when fall approaches and night temps drop.

SOIL
I made my own soil out of peat moss, perlite, vermiculite, and lime I think I would have to look again to confirm

NUTRIENTS
I purchased the fox farms trio Grow Big, Big Bloom, Tiger Bloom.
I plan to try some unsulphured molasses at some point towards flowering.

Other
I also got a 5-7 range pH paper so that I can make sure the nutes are effective.
I have a Carlson Micro-Brite 60-100x LED magnifying thing.
I will be using vitamin C (ascorbic acid) to remove the chlorine from the tap water but seedlings are getting distilled water.

Feb, 15, 2019 I put seeds to soak around 4:30-5:00 pm local time

Feb, 16, 2019 I checked seed around 2-3 pm and seen my Gorilla Zkittlez's tap root so I decided to put them all in soil
just curious where did you get your seeds?

the growing of hairs was the first signs of flowering but don't I need to wait till later in the season to give them anything as they are outside and photoperiod?
As soon as you know they are flowering you want to make the switch. During that flowering time you want to build those buds up so it'll be looking for a different ratio of nutes at that point.

just curious where did you get your seeds?
I ordered them all through True North Seed Bank and they came early I was very impressed other than one seed did not germinate but I blame myself.

@MrSauga are the hairs called pistils?

All the ladies are looking great but now I have more questions. Approximately 4 days before I asked about my yellowing plant I had fed her, I have been letting her dry out to feed again but now the yellow is green and she has maybe 4 burnt tips, she is getting dry but now I am thinking plain water. Do you all think the same? I will leave pictures if you need me to circle the burnt tips I can.

The burnt tips don’t look all that bad. Keep a close eye on it. If it gets worse then a flush may be a good idea, but your plants are looking great man! Even the one with burnt tips. :thumb:

It’s amazing to how versatile these plants are, no stress dude!! :passitleft:

What could this possibly be? I can't find any bugs anywhere?

And then this picture I don't know if it is different or just a worsened version of a similar bug? Any ideas or thoughts would be great.

It looks to me like Thrip or Spider mite damage. Thrips are tiny but can be seen with the naked eye, whereas spider mites are even smaller and you need at least a good loupe at 60x to see them.

Scroll down halfway at the above link and you can read up on it and see if it resembles the issues you are having.

well I looked though my magnifier and didn't like what I seen I couldn't see a bug but I seen larvae looking tiny maggots so I bought some organic insecticidal soap I cant find the strips for crawling anywhere only flying would it help at all?

No, the flying insect strips are for gnats and any airborne pests. These are bugs found under the leaves of your plants. It sounds like spider mites and neem oil works best to treat them. If it is, they are hard to get rid of. Some people take the whole plant and blast it with water in the shower. Not damaging it but strong enough to hose down the plant thoroughly. A mixture of alcohol/water works as well. I can't remember the ratio but if you do a search here on spider mites I'm sure something will come up.
Neem oil use is for veg only. If you are in flower don't use neem oil.

I want to try not to use oil and I looked at it but didn't notice pictures of baby bugs I realized after that spider mites wouldn't be a maggot looking thing but I seen a couple they were whiteish kinda cream idk I am going to spray with insecticidal soap it's omri organic and as long as they aren't biting my leaves I can wash soap off when they flower. How can I keep them away through flowering without spraying any plants?
