First Grow - Indoor Tent

Well,
Photo plants need long hours of light to stay in veg. Photo plants when given 12 hrs light and 12 hrs dark make the plant think winter is coming (lower light hours) and cause the plant to flower. This is how we control veg and budding times, light schedule. Some even use 24hrs of light for veg but I believe nature requires dark for plant processes.
The confusion might be with germination of seeds. A seed does not need light to germinate, some use paper towel or water soaking, i germinate in my soil.
So if it were me I’d have lights on for 18 hrs and off 6. I think I even started odd with 24hrs light until I could ensure there was a controlled dark proofing for lights out.
With the light schedule you mention your plants are going to try to flower as soon as it can. Some do this on purpose for different grow styles and smaller plants.

@Advocate420 Sorry I didnt explain myself very well.

I put all seeds to germination, but the 2 sexbuds where 2a few days faster than the rest. meanwhile they have been in and out of light (trips to the sun outside, 1 or 2 hours of hps while I try another way of controling temps while the extration doesnt arrive, another pair of hours because I used the hps to dry a bit the soil.
And last night i started to think about that:

-"wait, with if that sh*tty idea of trying to delay the sexbuds while the other seeds growed up out of the soil is being bad for the 2 sexbuds?" I was like 4 or 5 am. and i had them covered while i used the hps to control temperature. I want to have the lights On from 18pm to 12am.

edit: I ended up putting them on lights to catch cyclo today, should i keep an extra seedling in case i messed up these 2?

My first 2 seedlings have been only getting a few hours of light now and then, and ive put a black tex pot on top to block light while I waited for the other seeds to show some green. Now i think this wasnt a good idea. But will afect my plants in any ways?

Your plants will stretch, trying to get around whatever is in the way, to get more light. The plants don't know the lights are off, they just want more. Not enough time with the light on, or not enough light causes the plants to grow long and weak.

Ma girls started today the 18-6 cycle!
Thinking about stop using the bottle water they told was perfect for germination and start with tap water (ill let it sit for 24-48h before using it to let chlorine evaporate). They say tap water has some great things both for humans and plants.

I know you guys like pictures but the place stills a total mess.

I have a few questions:

1. When is the time to start with nutes(hy-pro terra)? I was thinking about waiting another full week and start with 1ml/L (recommended is 5ml/L)
2.I am using drops to measure pH should I aim for the yellow color (6) or light green (6.5)?
3. Ive seed people measuring run off pH, should I start doing it? Why?
4. edit, got this one solved, to take photos under hps you just used polarized glasses or take with with flash on right after the lights go of or right before the lights go on.
5. After getting the pH fixed on my water and nutes add, can i store in 5.7L plasting bootles safely?

Back in the day, some scientific guys (I can't tell you who, I barely remember who I am), stated that it wasn't good to smoke tobacco or cannabis around a cannabis plant. The plant's instincts kick in and can cause problems (think forest fire). Now I'm not saying this is true. Just what was spewed back then ('80s).

I read about smoking blocking the co2 intake (having problems with heat, didnt want to compromise that) , making hard the for the plant to release humidity. Something around that, but saw a lot of different opinions.

Meanwhile i am thinking about a portable ac. Heat will be a huge problem, it drives me crazy! I think 9200 bdu will be enough for the 4.5x4.5m where my tent is. Ive been rly paranoid about temps lol

these ww i got are one of the cheapest seeds i found. Quality doesnt seem great but ive been a grower for a week soo not sure. Haha
yes, around 10 to 15 mini holes of 1 to 2 mm.

Today after 300 diferent trys and fails, lots of head head scratching and stress, learned a big lesson when it comes to airflow. Sometimes less is more. I was going nuts because I had to let my tent open to keep it under 30º. At one point i had 4 fans blowing air into the tent lol. now ive got 1 normal desk fan blowing cold air into de intake, and the intake fan as extrator, i am at 26-27 now with tent close, way less noise and energy being used. Thats a huge relief.
Ill keep the money that i had for the portable AC safe just for now, wait and see what happens.

meanwhile yesterday, prepared my first feed by adding 1/6 of the recommended dose of nutes to tap water that was on a open container for almost 42h. fixed the ph to yellow on the those GHE drop tests, and watered my saddest WW. this was just to pratice with the ph down. Today i tested it again and the ph was at around 7 (light green color). is this normal? i fixed it again to test in a few hours.

pH can change from water sitting especially if there are nutrients in the mix. CO2 changes, as well as chlorine, can cause the pH to change.

I know you may be on a tight budget, but a pH pen is going to be almost a need unless you are using pH buffered nutrients. They do not require you to pH the solution for they keep the pH range correct automatically.

The drops are usually not close enough due to the needed rage being between 6.1 and 6.9. The drops are rarely that accurate.

I know this isn't a great thing to hear. Growing has some initial investments that are hard to bypass. Lights, nutrients and a pH pen are usually the pricey ones. If you decide to get a pH pen, don't forget to get the calibration solution(s) for it. Yeah...I know, another added expense. You thought this would be cheaper than buying off the street. It is, but the payback comes over time. pH pens can be acquired online from Amazon as well as the solution to calibrate them.

When I started this adventure (three times since about 1986), I always thought I could do it cheaply. You can, but you have to learn by instinct how to. Many people do not want to chance the expensive seeds by using instinct. That is why we ask specific things when you have a problem.

Rainwater is your friend if going cheap. Also, any other natural source of water (above the ground) is a great thing if trying to keep on a low budget. Tap water is the last water to use if trying to go cheap. Well-water would be a close second to tap water as the last thing I would want to use.

I think your grow is going well. I just wanted you to know the reliability of the pH drops are not as close as the plant's needs may require.

This is just advice based on my opinion. Take the information as such.

I was expecting the initial investment, but to be honest wasnt expecting that much to start a such small indoor grow. But i am okay with. I may change my opinion in the future but for now I think i could spend another 300 euros and still be worth it. Here you can only buy really bad hash that comes with another unknow drugs to make it more addictive. I want to grow my own good quality and clean weed to replace antidepressants that make me feel like sh+t and are really agressive to my liver.

I wanted to get the pen to start with, but the drops came with the kit and I saw some guys using it on DWC tought it was okay, but by talking with a friend and my search results, there wasnt a lot of people using it, I see why now xD
I think I can buy it since I am not buying the portable AC next week like I planned.
I have a few more things at the shop waiting the extractor to arrive so they can ship it all (noise reduction tubes, small fan for inside, anti detection ducting tape, anti IR duct tape and anti IR plastic), ill give them a call and see if they can make a good deal on the pen or maybe give the calibration solution.

Dont be sad for my saddest WW, ill only grow the 3 strongest ones, the others are for practice and learning ^^

The 3 white widons are pretty much at the same pace, first i tought they where slow but know I thinking maybe they are this way, they are purple under the leaves, how cute.

The dual tt was out of stock so i just got an rvk 100e2 sileo.
ph pen out of stock too (I am the luckiest guy) so ill stick with the drops for now. (they made almost a 30 euro discount because of the delay, deserve me to keep buying at them)
The water was rising ph because it was on a old plastic bottle with probably bacteria inside. made a new one on a new container away from light and ph is stable, didnt turn foggy like the other.

How far should I have the bulb from the top of the plants?
