First Grow In Over 20 Years! Northern Lights Under 600W LED

lol, I know the feeling my man... now if we can get those two pieces of hair to grow everyone wins

Sadly that is more hair than I actually have.... Lol.

Day 30

In the last three days since I posted pics I have gotten quite a lot of growth which is great. I seem to have four main leaves acting like a canopy over my lower growth and I was wondering if it would be a good idea to trim the big leaves so the lower branches get more light and would grow more?

Anyway, since they are almost a foot tall I was going to build my screen of green early next week and start trying to spread them out. With everyone’s help so far so good.

I wouldn't trim the big fans this early, they are making a lot of the plants energy. It tends to be a personal thing though.

I thought that might be the case and makes a lot of sense so I will let her be for now. Thanks for the reply Pennywise; much appreciated.:thumb:

Topping, fimming and training is fine though.

I topped for the first time this Tuesday and I was wondering if I do a screen of green should I keep topping the lower branches as they come up or just top it once and just train the lower branches with the screen?

Sorry, I don’t know if it is a misprint or I have just not seen it yet but I have no idea what fimming is? Ok, sorry I am reading about fimming now and know it isn't a misprint.

I'll get a pic of fimming, it's easier than trying to explain. I would set the net over the plants fairly close then as branches grow through the net start weaving the branches through the net like knitting a rug. Once 3/4 of the net is full let it go vertical before you flip.

I really appreciate the help; you really are a wealth of information because I have been reading for close to a couple months online and this is the first time I heard about fimming and I will definitely be doing some more reading about it.

That’s what I will do early this week is set up my screen and start weaving my branches as they come through and fimming and once it is three-quarter full I will let it go vertical then flip. I have read you should wait two weeks after flipping before letting it go vertical but the last thing I am going to do is argue with a member of the year, LOL. Again thanks for the advice. :thumb:

Better to NOT weave the branches, just keep pulling them under and out towards the sides, if you weave them you
cant move them later when you want to position the branches in the directions you need to fill the net. The idea
is to be able to reposition as they grow but once you weave into the net you cant.
