First Grow, Deep Water Culture, Northern Lights, Pics

Good thing is a lot of that undergrowth would have died during the 12/12 switchover anyway. Like the idea of waiting a week to let things settle down and heal up. I'd keep them on veg nutes for the first 2 weeks of flower to support them with more N and make up for the missing underbrush.

Things got worse before they got better. About 2/5 of the undergrowth on all the plants wilted and died off. I just removed all of the dead portion today. You can see the hole in the leaves where a lot of Beast's undergrowth came off in this first pic. Along the top, things are recovering. Some of the leaves are still looking bad but they're definitely recovering and still growing. Roots are still looking healthy.

This will prob be the last bird's eye view I'll have of them. It's hard for me to be able to raise the camera enough to get a full shot of them because of their height.

Uh oh can kind of see you there lol, is that a samsung camera kind of looks exactly like my camera. Anyways just keep up the good work you should be pretty good now, i believe you got this under control now. :goodjob: & :goodluck:

IHave been following your grow and I had the same problems that you had during veg loosing 75% of my root mass 5 weeks into veg and should have
veged them for another 2 weeks at least but ran out of grow nutes so i started flower and by the time i was at full strength of bloom my new batch of veg nutes arrived so i did some what of a recovery by adding veg nutes
to the bloom nutes and my roots grew back and the bottom third of my plants
recovered and everything turned rich green and popcorn buds were a plenty.

Wow! I'm definitely learning how well our favorite plant recovers. I think I've gotten a good chunk of my key learning experiences out of the way just in the veg stage of my first grow... lol. I got low on grow nutes and had to order some more because I knew they wouldn't be ready for flowering yet. Luckily I got them before I ran out. Otherwise, I would have had a sad harvest. lol

Thanks man! I'm definitely happy with their recovery. I've been following your grow too, just been busy as fuck and haven't had time to comment. Your girls look really healthy. I look forward to seeing pictures of those buds popping up on them. :goodluck:

Good deal... I'm glad I didn't wreck them completely. I didn't want to stick them into flowering without giving them a significant recovery time. I'm sure it will pay off. RoorRip I learned my lesson there for sure. Will definitely hang onto the veg nutes for the first 2 weeks of flowering. :thankyou:

Lol.. yeah, I noticed that once I got the pics to my computer. I figured my face isn't visible so I'm all good. :P Yep, Samsung L200. :thankyou:
 
yeah im not worried you dont have to post on my journal i know your pretty busy enough dealin with your own monsters lol. I will show you my buds if you show me your buds lol j/k, but yeah i would really like to see yours just because i been readin the journals and forums of course before i started but yours bein the one i found so close to mine is the one that pushed me into joinin the site so i want to see some buds from your. LOL yeah thats the exact same camera i have same color and all.
 
Good job on the comeback i have been out of state past couple of days and plants left alone i came back to them lookin great but all this has pushed my flower date from last tuesday to tomorrow
 
Thanks guys! They survived their first 12 hours of darkness! :P I just hit them with a drain and replenish, filling the tub back up with a full dose of grow nutes. Hopefully they dig it.

I measured Beast's height and she's just barely touching the 20" mark now. Grow grow grow!

IDK why this picture turn out kinda blurry and hazy looking but oh well... I promise I wasn't blowing smoke at them. lol...

Lookin good girl, mine just came out of thier first 12/12 cycle and my biggest is 20in today and my baby 18in we should be harvestin around the same time. Ill be excited and waitin to see what you get and see what i get.
 
Recovering Nice Good Gob . My grow was doing fine and then FUNK so i recovered
and added to much nutes . Forgot I had 2 Plants not 6 so they got a little burnt and now in recovery again . So you see all grows go thru pains
