First Grow - Bag Seeds - Germinated July 27 2015

Mary - day 68 Carol - day 70

Hmmmm. Over at Sue's grow I've been reading about males. I'll lay, sit or squat down on the floor again today for a proper inspection and clean up the cab girls. I look in every morning just to see that the babies are still alive, then take a few pics and go on with the early part of my day. I am beginning to see signs of the stretch I've been reading about. That's pretty exciting right there.

Graytail spoke of his Dug Out and Pinch Hitter last night. He said 30 years old. I dragged mine out just for giggles and I've had this one at least that long. If used everyday, the brass pipe will shine like brass railings in the finest hotel.

Dale had one of those. I wonder if he had it stashed somewhere I haven't looked in years? I'd forgotten all about it until you posted that picture. Where can that be???

You gonna use it Jim?

Your plants are definitely lifting off into stretch. Any time now you should be able to see the calyxes beginning to pop up. It should be pretty definitive when it happens.

Yeah....eventually I use all my stuff. I hope you can find Dale's box. I'm still not seeing anything out of the ordinary on the girls.

Cab girls got another shot of Grow/Bloom nutes. I really expect to see the sex within a day or so. Yesterday's inspection was indeterminate. How about that big word.

I keep raising the lamp 1 chain length each day so I know these little buggers are stretching up.

Extra points for vocabulary expansion Jim. :laughtwo: It can take up to ten days or longer to show sex after the flip to 12/12. How long's it been with them? In time.

They appear from the pictures to be structurally close. What's your take on that? Whatever sex they are it's almost certain they're both the same. We'll soon know.

6 days from flip. Really thinking about cutting cord of the screen so I can remove them for a better look. I keep the axe sharp.

This is the one that concerns me the most. Is this a cluster? If so, you have a male. You'll know by tomorrow.

This is a picture taken just now showing female sexual expression (my Afghani #3). See how the petiole bundles arrange themselves neatly along the nodes? males won't do that. They'll grow off on a wonky angle and generate bundles of pollen sacs

Oh, Jim -- I'm so sorry. That's awful. Can you grow one of them for his pollen? If you want to try some breeding later? Or do you have more seeds ready to go?

Have some great seeds ready to go. Lots of fem WW and some others. We'll see.

Mannnn.... sorry to hear that jim.

I think it's just part of the territory.

Breeding project is the best option imo, sorry to hear that you don't have any girls but it could be a good start for something later? Best of luck to you brother :Namaste:

If I thought about doing some breeding in the future, I'd want to know more about the father. This bag seed was good. I suspect I won't waste any time trying to collect pollen from these.
