First Grow- Autoflowers CFL (nooby)

Looking great! I would drop those fluorescents way down though or move the plants up. You should be able to get them to almost touch the bulbs, T5 lights shouldn't be hot enough to burn and I have seen them placed INSIDE plants before. Those lights may put out 8000 lumens but that is at the source. After about an inch it starts to drop in a pretty rapid rate.

Keep it up :blunt:

Very nice setup, but I agree with DJMattzor about bringing your plants closer to the light. I've seen the same thing with my friends putting T5's "inside" the plants as supplimental lighting. Doesn't if feel good to get new toys for your grow? Your plants are looking good.

Wow! look at them go! just wonderful!

i would drop the light down till they are about 6 to 10 inches off the plant. You can go closer but the buggers might grow up into them when your not looking. Its super annoying when they do that!

Keep up the good work man!

I do agree that if you drop it really close you risk burning the plants but it depends how hot the surfaces of your T5 lights are or how often you check your plants to adjust. You can find an optimum height to have them at to account for growth once you can observe them a bit. Looking great!

Thanks everyone. I just moved the light down a bit.
@Feast. Welcome!! Input would be lovely. lol

@ItsChrome-Thats how i got those burnt leaves in the first place. Them growing waaay too fast and getting on the light.
I also wanted to say that i appreciate all the help you guys(itsChrome, Edge, Oblivi and DJMatt) have given me.
Lol you guys are like "my regulars" at a bar.
My new toys are fun but id really have to thank my Grow Buddy for that one.
I have Fox Farms Big Bloom ready for next feeding. Im actually gonna try giving it a rather "heavy" dose because i had planned on upping the amount of Nutes that i was using before.
And can i foliar feed with FFBB? If so how light of a dose?
Any tips for flowering anyone? Things to look out for and such. My friend swears i should cut off some of TnT's fan leaves. Im going to leave her alone though. What do you guys think?

As well as this grow has been going im now thinking about germinating one of the special seeds that came with my order.

Main questions:
Its nearing day 27 with CJ. So does anyone else think its a dude?
(i want to selectively pollinate damnit. but i have asked forever and gotten no responses so im guessing nobody knows how)
thats about it.

Happy blazing guys.

Peace and Love

I wouldn't touch any leaves on TnT, you want all the leaves you can get since they produce energy for the plant. Only reason I remove fan leaves is if they are already dead and yellow or to make room for light to reach the lower buds in which case you can easily just rearrange the leaves rather than trimming them. Some plants react differently to pruning and trimming though so I guess you don't know until you try. But at this stage in the plant's life, I wouldn't really worry about it.

My first plant looked very similar to CJ and ended up being a male, that being said I hope yours isn't but mine also took forever to show. I probably could have sexed my first plant sooner but I had no clue what a male was supposed to look like or how long it took. Can you take any close up macro shots of the 'budsites'?

And selective pollination, are you referring to where you collect pollen from a male and then just pollinate a single bud site? Basically allowing you to create multiple hybrids from a single female.

Hey LilJah, plants look very healthy:bravo: Keep up the good work, sorry i dont know anything about pollinating bro. But maybe try start a thread about it.:ganjamon::rasta: Can't wait for another updated pic upskirt haha:yahoo:

Yup. I need to know when to do this with autos and which is preferable. Maybe a little about how genealogy works. Want to keep the Auto trait. Anyone got a link or anything else that would help?
Want to try my hand in making my own autostrain. LOL

Thanks everyone. I just moved the light down a bit.

really as long as you check them 2-4" is fine with floros.

@Thefeast. Welcome!! Input would be lovely. lol

Here it goes...

I'd say tou more then likely have a male on your hands but I hear with the autos you never know...

thats about it.

I will be trying for my first time...(hopefully)

Happpy blazing guys.

Great looking grow so far!! Do not cut any fans leaves!! They are necessary for proper plant growth. Healthy large fan leaves equals healthy large buds! Only trim leaves that are over 50% dead(this occurs mostly in flower). Best of luck to yo on the rest of your grow!
:bravo:

hey liljah nice grow mate looking good nice to see these autoflowering in action, regarding fan leaves ive trimmed 4 off my plant as they were bigger than my hand and covering all the lower leaves and potential bud sites there are still in veg and its worked wonders shes taking off like a rocket now the light can get down to the lower branches, theres alot of contraversy about taking them off but if the plant will benefit from it and there are some fan leaves left well do it ive benefited from it,some people say dont cut, some do,its all experience mate and the only way you learn is to try it yourself good luck mate

only tobeinherbe only i keep my fans running 24/7, and i get a nice 10f drop which is about right i would only consider turning them off if your temps were to drop considerably keep them on if u can to keep the air circulating IMO, as i said ive only took some of my fan leaves off cause it was hindering the growth below and i still have at least 4 fan leaves left which are at the top and bottom of my plant,i am new to this game so im winging it but its done no harm to mine just improved the growth,so its personal choice they are there for a purpose so if you do take them off make sure its for a good reason and make sure you still have some left on the plant as i say im a newbie but its worked for me, good luck

Wondering why tobe hasnt started his own thread yet so i can join?

So my duel with CJ to show its sex is still on-going. A friend told me that I should put it in darkness for a full day. Force it to sex. Because i still want to pollinate and im running out of time.
If this is really a boy i neex it to show me some weed-testicals asap.

LOL and one more thing....
I have some Warm and Cool Flouros left over from my old setup. Does anyone recommend putting them inside the new tent?
Supplemental lighting during flowering?
or am i good where im at?
I just dont wanna have some "Chrome-like" accidents and drop them (poor MB) because i would have to dangle them.
Just looking for some advice.
Anyone have XBL?
