Yea, i wouldn't rush neither if i was you, let the stem get good size and good root production. I use the pipe cleaners to train with, i have seen alot of peole on here using them, they make it easy to maneuver through the branches and easy to tie and adjust. Just remember if you pull the top down to let light hit the lower shoots like i did hook a pipe cleaner somewhere near bottom on opposite side so it will support your stem good. Hope this helps im new to and everybody developments the own style, im sure you will do fine.✌

Yeah I have some of them garden tie downs kind of like bread ties and I have fabric pots so probably will use safety pins to attach to the sides of them

Sounds like ya got it under control here now dude. There are many different ways to train and if you do it early enough (not too early) you can bend a plant in a complete horseshoe shape if you wanted to. Have you had a change to check out the threads in my signature below on different training techniques? It shows training plants without topping as well. With auto's it can be kind of tricky if they flower early but can still be done with great advantages. I myself find it a lot easier to train a plant when it has been topped, you will see this happen very soon with all of my veg girls and I will pin down these new branches so they lay completely flat, as they grow I keep adding more stakes to hold the new growth down. Everyone's techniques are a little different from others but all serve the same purpose for the most part and that is getting more light to lower nodes and creating more tops.

Sorry man I've been super busy and didn't see your comment. Yes I have looked and when I'm ready gonna read thru them again lol. I'm starting to be able to read them a little but this forum has been a lifesaver

Ok quick update came home and noticed my one ww is getting busy lol. Even the runt is flexing . I think they liked the nutes. I noticed some small specks on a fan leaf but doesn't look major. I've been reading so much lately I don't know what to believe anymore. The coco is still moist but I read somewhere a dude water's his every day to replace the nutes with new ones. Anybody think that's a good idea or just read my plants and medium? Or change to straight water every other watering?

Im know coco grower but from what i have read you water coco everyday, maybe a coco grower will chime in. I would let the third node grow another day or two so you can get in there and clip that fourth node easier. Lookimg good so far though, i would ask a coco grower if i was you about watering, before any problems occur. Hope you get everything lined out.✌

Yes water coco everyday. But lightly . Just don't drown it. You'll be okay. It's hard time over water in coco. What day is that lady picture from seed of the candy cane bud.

Just read your added 50 50 to coco . No coco is dry and area enough if anything you should have added 10 percent max some do. Lol

You shouldn't transplant autos bud. They like final home pots they don't like that stress it will stunt them. What Nutes you using sorry . .

Yeah Tom I'm new too lol. I'm letting the plants talk to me bc they haven't been drooping so I water them every few days. Im using low dose nutes when I do. I will be adding a new light next week bc they seem to all be leaning to that Mars lol

I'm using the Fox farm trio 1/4 strength with half strength cal mag. I'm taking it a little easy and watering every few days. Yeah I just started my seeds right in the jiffy pellets and straight to the final pot. My ph is usually 5.9-6.1. They really shot up when I stated nutes. That one candy cane is a big runt. I must have shocked him but all the rest seem to be happy. Only seen a few specks that looked like calcium deficiency
