First CFL Grow Using 30 Watt CFLs

Hey DP friends, so I placed an order with herbies yesterday, picked up a whole whack of seeds, 17 in total, and I'm told I will be receiving 16 free seeds, this should keep me busy for a couple years 
after checking a bunch of other sites feel like I got a great deal. I spent 132 pounds, which works out to around $215 Canadian
Advanced seeds-1x ice kush feminised
Bomb seeds-5x BOMB THC BOMB feminised
Green house seeds-3x Himalayan gold feminised
Green house seeds-3x white rhino feminised
Homegrown fantaseeds-5x first lady (white widow)

Can't wait to get them, ordering another 400 watt for new grow space, I'm thinking I might get a light track, does anybody have experience with these? The ones that move automatically over your plants? I feel like having one of these would almost replicate the sun perfectly (rising and setting) and give more light overall to the plants....

hi everyone, thanks x for the big bang info, at least everyone can see how an auto can turn out, so thanks mate,
i not been on for a few days but my moms cylinder head gasket went on her car so been doing that and it reminded me why i hate woking on diesels, just no room to get hands in anywhere, but its done and running.
for the 12-12 from seed, i have done this a couple of times now and it yielded more than the autos i grew, but given just 1 week of veg from seed really does boost the yield, as it has with my 2 hempies.
now my plants, both hempies are pretty much done, just waiting on the seeds from the sour kush to be ready, but both hempies look amazing and cant wait to harvest and sample the buds, the afgan skunk smells so nice and the buds are fat and solid, ill take pics tomorrow and post them.
also ive had some brilliant news, i got the job at the jaguar, even got a better wage than i thought i would be getting, when i applied i was told the wage would be £12 per hour, but it seems i am qualified to work in quality control, that brings the wage up to £18 per hour, so on that money i can start to enjoy life a bit

if i set up a marine tank then ill give you a shout and figure out what i need to do
hey gogreen I feel you about watching such a beautifull fish becoming lunch. I bought a firefish for a tank I was leasing on the weekend. so I thought I would put it my reef tank till monday and transfer it to the rental tank. I had a dwarf turkey fish in there that never bothered any of my clowns or my damsels. after I got him aclimated I let him go and watched that turkeyfish swim right over and woosh dinner time $45 dinner for that stupid fish.
By turkey fish, I imagine you mean lion fish, yes those fire fish are awesome I used to have some until my anemone ate them, and a couple fell prey to my royal grandma, she would chase them and they would free Willy out of the water, up through the air and land on my floor, by the time I would find them they were goners. Have you still got a tank ?

Wow, those are STILL the freebies? That's what I got in my last order, except they shorted me 5 of the Sleeskunk. I picked up the Himalaya Gold as well, but in a 'pack' with others. Are your's colored? It will be fun to watch that and the white rhino. I ALMOST got that, but got El Nino and White Widow (other WHITE family strains) and well as Big Bang (Has El Nino lineage).

I haven't received them yet so I don't know if they're colored.
Ya I can't wait to start these, I think I may set up two flower rooms so I can grow twice as much at the same time, I would like to start a perpetual grow at my new place, that way I'm pulling probly once a month. yes they are of the lion fish family, he never messed with any other fish other then the guppies I used to feed him and my anneomies with. the funny thing was I was showing my freind what a beautifull fish it was. I said there he.. and it was over
I have tanks still, a90 and 2 70gallon tanks but I have not had them set up in a while. I have 2 huge trickle filters that seaworld would be proud of LOL ozone filters and protien skimmers. and everything else but fish and gumption to set them back up.
my old reef tank got featured in the local paper (and it is a major paper) but it got so hot that most of my corals passed. lost several $$$$.
and came to the conclusion that they should stay in the ocean.

thanks all, its the kind of job ill enjoy as well, nice and clean work building new cars, plus its 40 hours a week, plus overtime plus bonuses, they pay more for night shifts as well, so christmas has come early indeed

thanks everyone, i should be able to pay all my debts off now and treat me and the kids to more, its double what i used to earn, so paying the bills wont be a problem, took ages to find a job but at least now im doing something i enjoy and should be a job i can keep for a long time, plus ill do as much over time as possible, the more the better,
plus now i can order some decent seeds and equipment, perfect timing for my scrog, these hempies are pretty much ready to come down, just waiting on the seed to finish on the one hempy then ill pull them both down, my autos are nearly done but the yield will be small, possibly an 1/8th off each, so ill give big bang auto a try, then my 4 clones that are under glr are nearly ready to flip to flower, so when i flip them to flower ill start my dwc scrog set up, so cant wait to try a decent scrog,
the difference between the dwc and soil grow is shocking, i took 2 clones off the biggest hempie, this is nealy 5 ft, and it had 1 week of veg under cfls, then it was 12-12 from then on, so i took clones from this hempie and rooted these in soil and now they are both under glr in the hps room, none of these clones have got the rapid growth the dwc hempies have, growth is very slow compared to dwc and clearly the dwc gives the plants a huge boost.
Plus the yield is around what i would get off the soil plants even after 1 month of veg, so i might be switching to hydro for the rest of my grows after the hempie, its not worth me wasting 30days vegging plants in soil when i can get the same yield from going 12-12 with a dwc plant, so either my soil is not as good as it needs to be or dwc gives them a massive boost,
ill will still grow in soil but want to try and work out a good soil mix as im not using perlite or anything like that, i just use compost out the bag, so chances are this is where my main problems is.
thanks for all the kind comments, im so chuffed to get a good job like that, its taken me ages but ive got their in the end, i could of ended up with a warehouse or checkout job but im a trained car mechanic so i would of wasted all my training in a job like that, so the job i got now is what im trained to do, so at least i wont mind getting up and going to work each day, i normally work in garages repairing cars which as you probably know can be messy, i spent 2 days building my moms engine and had to work in between the rain and getting soaked and covered in oil, but this new job will be working with new cars, ill find out tomorrow what ill be doing for my job, so ill know a whole lot more tomorrow, so huge thanks for the kind words, i finally got their in the end, now i can start to enjoy life a bit and live the life i never had the chance to live

Oh, I spent the money.They just screwed up and put a 5 bag in rather than 10. Oh well. Of all the seeds I ordered and freebies that I got, if something was to be wrong, I would rather it be the free sleeskunks, not the free fem's or the ones I actually ordered. Again, they were free, no biggie.
I know they rotate freebies, I was just shocked that it was still (or again) the same freebies I got over a month ago.
EDIT: Picked up two multi packs of Green House Seeds (Rasta, Indica E 10 pack) as well as a 3 pack of Super Lemon Haze and a 3 pack of Jack Herer.

Well...today have been a good day..DP you got a job...thats real good news...me...my 3 Auto Pounders with 5 freebies came today...no males in the garden...yet...days not over...anybody got a Pounder growing on this site ???...DP..you said you were going to try one...what happen ???...waiting on me to break the ice huh...yeah..hydro is suppose to be the best yielder...i don't think so..i saw a video of a 12/12 grow...no veg time...the plant had been topped and LSTed...it was huge..but then again ...i wasn't there when it was grown...my 12/12 from clones haven't produced any large plants..mine are running from 2 inches to around 5 inches...might get a Blount per plant..well...free Blounts...stay focus...
