Film Can From 77 To Today

DId my morning check up. The moisture level on the big one was 2.2 and the small one 9.8. I added 3/4 gal yesterday morn! I checked the PH of the runoff and it was 8.4. Checked my well water and it was the same. I've not seen it that high before. I need to check that well water before watering from now on. I lowered the PH to 6.4 and rewatered till runoff came out and checked again. All is good and well watered.
I am thinking I need to something with the clones now. I want bud! LOL

I will take pictures of the individuals and post and hope for suggestions on what to do next.

have you started flowering yet?

I put the little girl on a Cinder Block. 8 or 9"?
The canopy needs some training.

Also your plants are looking great! what type of soil and nutrients are you using?

For the first 2 months I used Premium potting mix from local company and watered daily with Fertiloom mix. It didn't hold water at all.
The 5 gal buckets are using Vermi Soil which I got at the local hydro supply. As I read more I changed to 5-10-5 after 30 days in the 5 gal buckets using only well water. THe last couple of weeks I have been using PH and Moisture meters and adjusting PH with sodium bisulfate, or lemons when I have one, to about 6.5. I noticed my PH in the tap water changes from 6.8 to 8.4 I think the highest I saw it. I never checked it before and probably depends on what faucet I am using. The shop water doesn't get used much so I think it is higher PH than kitchen tap. Our tap water is 90 PPM.
The Nutes I had in my wife's garden shed already.

are you planning on breeding them to get seeds, or are you going to use the clones to keep the lineage going?
My plan was to keep the moms going in the veg room and bloom the clones in the tent and see if they are worth keeping the strain alive or not. Go from there.
Should I flower the moms and keep clones?
I think getting seeds with no males is beyond me at this time.
I FIM'd all but 2 of the clones today. Just not sure what to do with them as some are just ugly. I was lollipopin the girls and the cuttings I made into clones with no plan to do that really. I mixed up the trimmings so no idea what is what. It was more of an experiment on my part and do real clones on purpose later.

Peer pressure is making my keep this strain going at this time. I personally don't care especially if it isn't as good as todays bud. I have high hopes for the one seed that germinated out of the bunch I got from my friend in AZ. I FIM'd it today above the 4th node.

I had a issue with the Indica and went to the Hydro store. He said my nutes were too old being they are at least 10 if not 20 years old. Well they have been working for these last 6 months or so or at least the 77's were growing. Guess new strains need something different.
Couldn't wait a week for online so $110 and a couple of hours driving later......got new nutes.

The guy in the store said I should flower the Moms being they are so old and not the clones. I'll take a couple of clones from the moms and label them this time. LOL

I'll pull them out of the room and stick them in the flower tent when my lights come on today in a bit.

I have been using well water with limited nutes and up potting.
Should I use RO and these nutes full strength and transplant everything in 5 gal pots now or continue to up pot, use well and 1/2 strength nutes including calmag? Well is 90 ppm and I don't know what those parts are, it sure tastes good.

I redid the whole grow today. The tent was too small to flower the moms so I swapped bulbs and the tent is now the veg room and the washroom for flowering the moms. I had to remove some cabinets in the washroom to make room for the future and mopped the floor.
I put the plants with their individual runoff trays in 1'x4' Botanicare trays with 3/4" of water in them. I have not needed to use the humidifier by doing it this way and the washroom was 40 to 60% depending on watering schedule.

Now to bone up on what to do to flip the moms. They are under the Bloom light now, still 18/6 till I figure out what to do. Everything got full water today with veg and calmag nutes.

I saved these for a reason back in the day from when I had some outdoor crop. They have been on top of my tool box and I have been shaking these regularly. I decided to germinate the 9 seeds. 7 sprouted and 2 hearty ones survived.
My plan is to clone them so the generation isn't lost just in case someone is interested in plants form 1977.
I am calling them Smithsonian. I'm pretty sure they are Indica but that is all I got.
Never grew anything indoors and I had some NIB IGrow lights left over from a rack MFG job I did for a horizontal grow 7 yrs ago, so I decided to give it a shot. I often wonder how that grow is doing.
These are 5mos old now 18hr on 400W Veg light. I clearly haven't a clue! LOL
