Film Can From 77 To Today

epic recovery of those '77s.
Longest i've kept and germed seeds was 11 years.

You really need to get cuts to people who can "preserve" it. If you find some magic/gold, you may want to submit a cut to a nursery like DarkHeart.... but all depends on how much you love it and want others to have it.
I would be happy if someone that knew what they are doing and had the right stuff to grow these. Please save them from myself. Keep the 77 strain alive, at least till we find out if it is worth saving.

These IGrow lights suc, but it is all I have and can't afford $500 for better ones. See how it goes. I cut 6" off the hoods both length and width so they will fit in the 2x4. Now to bring them up to the tent. Bong Thirty first.

If you are in SoCal, I'd be willing to throw it in with my breeding project. Sadly I cant say the male strain here by order of the admins, but i can PM it to you.

If you aren't in SoCal, I have other methods...but a PM would be in order.

Worst case, you could always have a go at your first S1? it's pretty simple but would involve taking a few clones.

I'm in CO SE of Denver.

Have 8 clones under full veg light now and one seedling from my friend. 1 out of 21 broke ground. Not sure what the issue was. They would get a tiny root started in the paper towel and then the roots disappeared in 2 days.

Not sure what S1 is.

I got the hood on one of the Bloom light done so it fits in the tent with several inches to spare. There is much more penetration with the Bloom lights. Measures 37000 Lux at 3" on the Android phone app.
I'm stoked to finally get this inside the tent. The girls can now get proper light/dark schedule which they have never had. Still keeping them on 18/6 at least for now.
I put the clones and the seedling under the Veg light with no tent, YET.
My plan is to let the clones mature a bit and then transfer them to the bloom tent and put the Moms back under veg, as much as I want to flower the big girls.
Should I flower the clones or the moms first?

I got the tent to maintain 81 degs and 42% humidity. If I try to raise the humidity the air temp goes up. Open up some venting and the humidifier can't keep up. At 75% the air was rising above 98 Deg. Not sure when the air would stabilize, I turned on the vent fan. I think I will just keep it at 82/42% because it is easy with tent settings as they are unless I get some advice.

I have a fan under the canopy blowing up and one for exhaust. Open on the bottom for intake with the fan there blowing in and the top 3 6" ports open slightly. I have a CanFan that I have yet to plumb. Not sure I need it.

My knee is not likin all the ladder work. I may move the tent to another room that I don't heat as much, ground level

I checked those lights wow just a bulb is $400 to replace, yeiks. But they look like glorified fluorescent bulbs. They didn't even show the spectrum on their site.
The ladies seem happy under them though.
I flower out clones until moms get too big for veg room then I flower them.
Don't know if that helps or not.

S1 is self pollinated reversed plant.

50 to 60 ppm Colloidal silver in water or STS spray.

the CS at 60 ppm, you spray a node in veg 1 week before flip. Then keep applying daily until you see male flowers.

The offspring will be feminized seed.

you cannot consume the CS sprayed plant, but you'll keep the genes going.

Sounds like a plan. Thx. They are just slow growing because of the lack of intensity I think. I don't have a proper meter, just a app on the phone.
Info on these bulbs is few and far between as well as results.

WOW I had no idea you could do all that.
See how the clones turnout.

7 yrs ago I designed and built racks for a local horizontal grow. I somehow ended up with 3 bloom, 1 veg, 1 extra ballast and 4 extra hoods as well as one 4x8x8 rack. Can you imagine buying 140 of these just to have the company go under soon after? I wouldn't doubt they paid the $1350 full price from them either, the grow was run by kids with big money backing them, like close to $4 mil and they were still spending. They even had 2 armored cars!

Knees didn't like all the ladder work, so I moved the tent and the veg light to a cooler end of the shop and in the washroom. The modified hood goes in the tent and currently has a Bloom bulb in it and that is where the Moms are for now at least. The bloom bulbs aren't as white at all. Everything still 18/6
The clones and seedling are in the washroom.
I may end up finding some floor space in the main shop so I don't have to put a heater in the tent like I have to now. I did turn the heat up in that part of the shop to 50 from 43. I don't like having an electric heater in the tent and I really don't want to heat another poorly insulated space. I didn't sleep very well because of it in there.

The plants are looking good. If I may make a suggestion, I’d turn the fan waaaay down or you’ll risk desiccating the plants. Just a gentle breeze is all it takes.
THX.
I did order 2 clamp on LV fans that should be here tomorrow. The tops were looking flimsy being the only fan is on the floor pointing up? It is on low as it goes.
Also the tops leaves were curled up so I raised the lights to over 10" and they opened up. I couldn't find oscillating ones for less than $50. I'll keep looking.
I watched all the videos on IGrows and there isn't much outside of the MFG channel. They sure don't compare any to LEDS and I'm not sure what to think about their claim about replacing 1000w MH. I do see a much better coverage area but I just don't see the intensity. The Par readings on my android app are pathetic even compared to cloudy day outside.

I moved everything into the washroom under the Veg 18/6 wed morn. WIll put the clones in the flower tent when ready. Should be warmer by then so I won't need the heater in the tent.
The one plant on the left is not growing at the same rate and doesn't use as much water. I'm going to have to raise the pot and train the right one some more. I think I heard a crack trying to bend one big branch on the right one 2 days ago, no ill effect. The plant on the right went crazy the last few days.
I gave the moms 1/2 gal of 5-10-5 yesterday even though the left plant didn't need watering. The right soil measured 4.1 and the right one was 9.2 moisture reading. Just been plain well water in them for the last month and a half. What should the moisture reading be?

What a difference a day makes for my seedling. It is in a 4.5" pot as is the clones. No Nutes yet, just well water. My well water is 90 PPM and 6.4 to 7.2 PH. Don't know what the solids are but it sure tastes good! I do have on demand hot and cold RO. I use the RO in the humidifier and my wifes Tea. The room is 81 degs and 45% RH measured from the shelf the clones are on. Got 2 small fans on low blowing across the tops as of yesterday.

I saved these for a reason back in the day from when I had some outdoor crop. They have been on top of my tool box and I have been shaking these regularly. I decided to germinate the 9 seeds. 7 sprouted and 2 hearty ones survived.
My plan is to clone them so the generation isn't lost just in case someone is interested in plants form 1977.
I am calling them Smithsonian. I'm pretty sure they are Indica but that is all I got.
Never grew anything indoors and I had some NIB IGrow lights left over from a rack MFG job I did for a horizontal grow 7 yrs ago, so I decided to give it a shot. I often wonder how that grow is doing.
These are 5mos old now 18hr on 400W Veg light. I clearly haven't a clue! LOL

Vintage 77?!?
As I recall, at that time we were just starting to see 'sensimilla skunk' as an alternative to (landrace?) 'Colombian' seed central.
You got yerself a HERITAGE there, best of luck!

THX. I'm jones'n to try some. I doubt it compares to todays hybrids. Not sure why I am really saving these. This process is taking just too long. The two plants are different animals. One takes 1/2 gal every other day and the other wants only once a week. I am beginning to wonder if the 5gal buckets are big enough. It is harder to get a probe in the soil on the one that doesn't take the water which is the smaller one. If that is the case then why is the larger one not feel root bound? IT dried out yesterday and was lookin pretty sad when I woke up. Added 3/4 gal. The smaller one was reading 8.2 on the moisture meter and the larger one nothing.

They're dramatically different that's for sure, maybe you are experiencing some early stage of a hybrid before it was stabilized.

Where's The History Channel when you need them?
