was raining yesterday so i didnt bother giving her a drink, man she has fattened up over them 2 days :) still mostly all pistil growth but that can only mean one thing, shitloads of calyxes = huge buds :)

Thanks mate, was going to grab a few pics of the other 5 and dads plants but started getting too dark by the time i fed them all, asked him if he wanted me to water them and he was like "yeah could probably do with something, been a week since i watered them last" :rofl: i was like holy shit, im giving them a feed :rofl:
 
Thanks mate ;) they are probably struggling in there tonight, just like me :rofl: 30c when i first started and is down around 28c now :thumb: have been flat out all night changing reservoirs in veg and trying to decide what to put in the empty DWC :rofl: still got 1 more res to change before i think about that one, got a whole heap of clones in the cloner, Gorilla Bomb and Elephant Stomper to choose from :rofl:

Next up we have a bit more cloning, filled the rest of my cloner up tonight :thumb:

I usually wait till i move them from early veg before messing with them too much but these have started powering on already, Elephant Stomper was the first candidate so i thought id grab a few pics.

chop chop, i took this cutting right above the first set of nodes on this branch :thumb:

There are a few good nodes up top but needs to be cleaned up down below, i just cut the node and fan off parallel to the main stem ;)

then its into the cloning solution for a couple of minutes, in the neoprene ring and into the cloner(or whatever medium you use). This is how she looked after taking the clone, will be a very bushy plant in a couple of weeks :rofl:

And while i was at it i did a bit of topping/tipping. Ever since i was 17 working on an orchard we always called it tipping the plants as we were only taking the tips to promote mass branching, i wish i paid a bit more attention to some of the other aspects of the job now, would help a lot, its funny i see people grafting cannabis now on the forums, i never even thought to do it till i saw it but we were doing it with apple and orange trees 20 years ago :rofl: we also had a method called thinning which is essentially what we do when we strip the lower parts of our plants and remove all the "fruit" that will not get a good light source and also creates better airflow through the plant, thinning also included removing fruit that was bunched together to allow it space to develop (still yet to find a use for this yet, not removing my buds lol).

Anyways waaaay off topic, back to topping, first up a simple top of the main stem of this White Jack clone.

Now a lower branch, first thing i do is take just the tip, leaving 2 nodes on the branch.

Now here is the fun part, if you want this branch to continue to grow in length, leave the main fan on, if you want to stop growth and focus all growth into your 2 new nodes, we then take the main fan which stops the branch from any rapid stretch, this will not affect the amount of nutrients that can travel to your 2 nodes and the small branch will continue to thicken as the plant grows, the 2 smaller fans for the nodes will now become our main fans for these 2 branches and will start to increase in size within a few days.

I will go more into detail in a couple of weeks with defol and controlling growth etc when i have a decent sized plant to work with in veg :rofl: Hope everyone is well, back to the tents for me :)

About to head out and water the outdoor girls again, no pics tonight as i accidentally locked my phone in the grow room and cant get it out till later :rofl: had a few veg pics on there too but will grab new ones tonight, thinking about topping 24k in flower, just to slow her down for a few days but will think about it more later ;)
 
DNA Genetics warns of a massive stretch with their version of Sour D as well. At least you know your girl is acting true to form. A true beast.
 
My Sour D is from Cali Connection, might be the same pheno DNA has :), been dropping regs for how long now and finally ended up with a beast ;) cant wait to show pics from tonight, coming very soon :) 24k is going to stretch to hell aswell man i can feel it :rofl: she has already started taking off lol

Every reservoir got changed out last night in veg, all but Atomic.
Tonight in veg, i decided against moving gorilla bomb up into a DWC, might up pot her when she gets a bit bigger and take some clones :thumb: I chose another Sour Diesel clone from my cloner, pretty decent root system already

Seedlings, Strawberry Cough has fallen over but shouldnt do any harm, will build strength in its stem a bit as it reaches for the light, will think about up potting it in a few days depending how it looks. Love the short rounded leaves on Killer Queen :)

Sour Diesel Day 25, she is as tall as the tent now with 2 of her main branches reaching the support poles :rofl: Managed to lift the lights another 4-5", Photos tonight are under all different types of lighting, some blurry as hell but show the bud structure, some overexposed etc etc..
I have been watching her stretch right out and the one thing that has been worrying me the whole time is distance between nodes, after seeing the flower formation tonight i am quite happy to say the nodes are about 2-3" apart the whole way up each branch, should fill in quite easily judging by the rate of growth and the time left to go, still another 50 days left :thumb: Light penetration is another thing, im getting full light penetration all the way through the canopy :) this is going to be an EPIC plant! 4ft buds :rofl: probably over-exaggerating but will be huge :rofl:
