Feral's Journal Of Insanity & Some Growing

Yep, two of them suckers in my flower tent already   Less heat than a HPS but not less than an aircooled HPS, cant run these in a sealed hood or you lose the UV which is the whole reason they work so well :thumb: the closest color spectrum to the sun, this is my first run with them so its all a test right now :)
I just ordered one right now and I'm only going to have one what do you think of the footprint of it I'm thinking of us 3 by 3 by 7 foot 10 for it

my new dwc Afghan Kush run and flowering mothers

So feral i am looking at a lec cmh its a no brand Chinese knock off. Its only 250.00 and comes with 3700k bulb. Should i go with no name or stick with nanolux or sunsystem?

Phillips definitely does but its phillips money to so I was just wondering how much difference there was. The draw is 120/240 volt and its a lec cmh 315 with ballest for 250.00 thats a great price

Tbh i wouldnt know what the cheap ballasts are like but i was highly recommended making sure the bulb was a phillips 930, im pretty sure their color is around 3000k and guaranteed to last minimum 2 years with only 10% loss in strength. I am running Hi-Par ballasts, came in a kit with a hood and phillips bulb for about $700au, the bulb itself is about $200 but as i said you buy less of them so end up saving in the long run as well as saving on power costs. I went with a good brand because if i have any problems i know i can send them off to be fixed, cheap ones do not have any support, something goes wrong and you are up for a whole new unit, go buy another cheap one and you have just spent more than you would have on a good brand to begin with ;)

My thoughts also my hps is sunsystem and ballest is nanolux so i am gonna go with one of those companies

i usually send it back when I don't get what I payed for :rofl: unless what they sent is better :rofl:

Im just over buying things 5 times to finally get the right thing  gets quite costly  these days im thinking i might as well spend the few extra dollars now and get the right thing the first time :thumb: I look at some of those cheap ballasts and think, they are not even willing to write their own brand name on there, is there something wrong with it?

Not bad not bad

I think i should have started with a cage on my sour d mate  bit late now hehe :thumb:

You get what you pay for eh - I've got the Philips sunlight system and it rocks

I would have loved to have got two of the phillips lights, that was another step up again at about $1000 each, Nanolux was a little cheaper than mine but i dont like the hood and ballast in one setup, the hood doesnt really look much chop either. Settled for the Hi-Par because they built their ballast specifically for the phillips bulb and their reflectors are much better :thumb:

Perfect time mate never too late. Helps open up plant for airflow and gets more light to it. Give it a shot if you have the time and extra cash. I can recommend a brand but should be straight forward. My last cage went on today snapped a branch and been flowering for a week or two. Cage is cheap should only cost $13 or so for a roll big enough to make a few the size you want.

Now I'm not sure I'm not confusing your plants up. Thought the C99 was the plant you were talking about and I think that is too far down road.

Im definitely thinking about it for my next outdoor grow, right now i dont really have the space indoors to let it get to its full potential with the other 2 girls in the same tent :thumb: maybe a single plant run down the track :) have spent the past 2 hours readjusting all the plant yoyos making space for 24k gold, she has gotten even bigger overnight and is shadowing all of the other plants

Yeah sorry about that I was totally confused. I had another plant in mind it was outdoors and it might have even been one of our mates not yours. Trying it indoors would be neat that's quite a compliment suggesting that! I've been defending the technique all over the place.

How labour intensive is it all. More addictive than smoking.

All good mate :) yeah i reckon it would work quite well attached to the dwc, probably wouldnt have the space to run multiple cages but would be a great way to evenly space out the limbs so they get better light penetration, 2 lights angled down towards it should be sufficient lighting the whole way round, almost like a 360 vertical scrog :thumb:

I spend most of my hours with my plants and although it takes it out of me i wouldnt trade it for anything in this world, got it in one mate, way more addictive than smoking :)
