Thanks mate, no real wrong or right way to do it but just what i have noticed over many years of growing, this just kinda gives the idea of what to expect if you take certain leaves from different parts of the plant at different stages, better than going in blind and stripping the hell out of a plant which i have seen done so many times :rofl: its a great way to keep them sativas nice and short too :)

Gonna sit here with a few coldies, nice big bowl and a couple of movies for the night on new years, if i go out it always ends up messy and i regret it :rofl: problem is most of my mates dont smoke, they are big drinkers, when i go out i manage to drink them under the table but i pay for it for days after :rofl: last drink i had was Anzac Day :thumb:

Yeah was just checking it out and thought it was a good idea mate :) I dont overly worry about RH in my tents unless its too low, as long as you have good airflow it shouldnt matter with a higher RH :thumb: I managed to buy myself a proper dehumidifier about 12 months back now for $175 on sale marked down from like $700 as they were clearing stock, I only run it in my cupboard for drying to keep the humidity between 55-60%

Got some updates coming soon hopefully, just finished my 6 hour stint in the tent :rofl: thought i would celebrate and taste test some of the first buds i cut from Red Diesel, took a small fluffy bud from the bottom of the branch, just had a bit of snap to it but still not enough to say its done, this was one of the thinnest branches also which means at least another 2 days on the dry. Chopping up in my new grinder was easy, very sticky though, a little from the moisture in the bud but mostly the resin, one bong later, you can still taste that little bitter green taste to it but overall it seems to be a nice smooth smoke and doesnt make me cough at all, thats a first :rofl: First up im noticing straight away an almost numbing sensation to the inside of my mouth and tongue, about 5 minutes goes past and my body feels excellent, like i can go do anything, real uplifting effect but my head has that classic stone to it, almost body stone to the head :rofl: Second bong is a bit different, still the numbing, my body still feels like it wants to run a marathon but the head stone is becoming a lot clearer :) Depending on how she cures it could end up being my best daytime smoke :thumb: will go into flavor a bit more as she cures, right now doesnt taste the best :rofl:

Bunnings has things called damprid. Little containers with dececant shit inside.
About 3 bucks each. When i have humidity issues i pop a couple of them in. Might
not be suitable for your setup,not sure, but a lot cheaper that buying/running
another machine.

What beer do you drink? I reckon you deserve one.

This will be my first christmas and new years sober in about a decade.
Liver decided it wasnt happy with my lifestyle so i had to stop drinking.
2 weeks sober yesterday.

I'm thinking of rolling up a joint and watching die hard or something. lol.

Surely someones played with lights like this? Would be a shame if
it went tits up and didnt work,especially if you use a bunch of power
and time in the process. Have you had a search to see what people have done?

Not trying to put down the experiment, i'm just too stupid to understand
how it would work and dont want you to lose a crop :)

Or if you have a weekly timer you would only have to manually set the times about once a week

Too much thinking. I like have it set up so all i have to do is mix up their
food right and water them. That's it. Gotta keep it simple for a simple mind.

Them damprid things do work but... heres the shit part, they will leave your weed smelling and tasting like moth balls, i wouldnt recommend them anywhere near a flowering plant or drying flowers. Used to drink VB on tap, tasted like shit in cans and bottles, if i was drinking at home or not near a bar id usually go for the extra drys :thumb: Miller Chill was good too but i wasnt the biggest of beer drinkers, it was all about JD for me :) I gave up drinking because i have seen how many lives it ruins, how many people it affects and my son doesnt have a mother thanks to the shit.

I was thinking that but knowing my luck and my memory it would take 1 time of missing setting the timer and then the test would be ruined. im looking for the most stable way to do it so i can just walk away and forget about it without compromising the test at the same time :thumb: any user input is a chance for failure :rofl:

I do the same in my normal grow, keep the feed and water up, check the PH... done :) When i do run the longer days i will be doing it in a separate room away from my regular grows, will mainly be a test of 1. How do plants react with a longer day, 2. how do plants react to a longer night, 3. Do plants finish quicker with longer days or do they take longer? 4. Is size or yield affected in any way?, 5. Will running a less intense light on a longer schedule yield the same as a more intense light setup on a normal schedule?, 6. will it cause hermaphrodites?, 7. were the results worth looking at different light schedules? etc lol. as you see i have a lot of things id like to find out :thumb:

Completely forgot about updates from last night, i was going to skip them but some had serious work done so bear with me, about 35 photos to get through, could take a while :)

So first up, here is my outdoor girl as of yesterday, looking good and getting bushy but not really getting much bigger, hope she is almost over her reveg of sorts :rofl:

Which now brings us to tonight :)

Flower tent up first, White Jack had only grown another inch overnight which has made me think thats about as close as i want to get to the light, I have changed her res out and dropped her down 6" in the DWC setup, she now sits at 28" below the hood :thumb:

Seedlings and mothers, probably noticed the other empty pot in there for a while, decided to put it to use last night and dropped in the only seed i found on RD while trimming, perfectly formed and dried out for 5 days, will see if anything comes from it, was on the closest branch to my inlet which has a little light leak, found 1 nanner on her about 1cm away from the seed so im guessing its a fem RD seed :rofl:

In the smaller tent i decided to add another airstone to the res, it was running a 4" on one side and a 6" on the other, i moved the 6" to the middle and am now running a 4" either side which has evened out the airflow throughout the res :)

I thought i would show 2 nights on from my defol post, this is how much growth in 2 days under a cfl, basically when i topped them there were tiny specs where the nodes were, now we have growth :thumb: when you take them back to this extent you will notice slower growth but a general topping and defol shouldnt slow the growth anywhere near as much ;)

Them bottom branches can get potent. Ive had nothing to smoke for
a while so ive been digging through an old plastic bag of fluffy shit
i couldnt be bothered trimming at harvest. Rolled a joint the other day
and my mate who is renowned for handling his pot had a few tokes
and didnt want to drive home. hahaha. Tasted good too,even out of the plastic bag.

You know it's bad when you grow pot and dont have any. That wont be happening again.lol

Anyway, beautiful plants man, skill. :goodjob:

Thanks mate :) yeah the flower tent looked bare as soon as i took out RD :rofl: took off quite a lot of lower crap off the back ones though, dont really need anything from them, they were just thrown in the back corners to fill a bit of space while i waited for RD to finish up ;) I probably wont run anymore Viper Cookies for a while now, can get better results from other strains i have here, putting her into breeding with Sour D though so may test a few of them out :) Psycho ive had around for ages but never flowered her, this was just to see what im expecting from her, still have my doubts about such high CBD strains for someone like me that enjoys the high as cbd works against thc making the stone wear off quicker, its not overly high in thc either being 6.5%thc 6.5%cbd so a 1:1, for these reasons alone i didnt want to put her in there as a primary plant and then end up with product im not going to be happy with in the end :thumb:

Thanks mate ;) I know exactly the feeling, im starting to run low on Ice Bomb, i shouldnt have got rid of so much of it but hate having it all around going to waste. Found a bud in my grow room earlier, not sure what it is but i smoked it and it sent me flying :rofl: Still got a little bit of viper cookies here too but just doesnt have the same appeal to me as others, really hanging on the Red Diesel to hurry up and dry so i can start smoking it, had to grab another bud of it before its so moreish :rofl:

Thanks Mate :) she has something about her, one of these days she is gonna take off and im gonna struggle to keep her down :rofl: that is of course whatever has been digging in the coco stops, i think its the damn wild rabbits, might have to make a trip to the hardware for some mesh, that will stop the suckers :)
