Feral's Journal Of Insanity & Some Growing

And a few branches where the buds are, are spitting out side branches

Very normal to happen with some strains :thumb: can also be forced by defoliation ;) tbh the only way it could be revegging is if there are issues with your timer for lighting or disturbances through the dark period, most other environmental conditions will cause hermaphroditism. Only other thing I could suggest if everything is in check would be to shorten the days and have a longer dark period, some full on sativas need it ;)

Im just gonna let it do its thing hey. The smell is straight lime. And soo strong. Shes only just started to put out a tiny bit of frost. Shes gonna be a long long flower. Its amazing the comeback she made

Unless it's a heavy sativa.. some drop light back to 10 hours, even 8..

Thanks. Its my first time growing a sativa. Ive still got some black rhinos in the tent flowering with a few weeks left. Ill see how the sativa is then and maybe drop it down to 10. I think it just felt like a staffy being let off the leash and have some fun while she flirts

My mate who has 20 odd years of non stop growing under his belt tries to replicate the light cycle of the area where a particular plant originates from. He is big on his Indicas, old school Afghani landrace stuff is his favourite. He is a bit of a mad professor type dude, he looked up the length of days in summer in the Hindu Kush, how long the days are in Sumner, how much each day lengthens/shortens and the like. He sets up the vegging to end on the longest day of the year, then starts to wind back the lights by what ever the time would be - say 10 minutes each day or whatever it is - he even gets Autumn colours on his leaves ! I wish he wasn't so bloody paranoid about the internet, he would love it here and I bet his plants would go down a storm. He says he has gone 20 years with no unwanted door knocks, so he isn't about to change his habits now. He only uses an App called 'Signal' which makes his messages disappear after 5 minutes so there is no evidence on his phone

Definitely works a lot better if you run them in conditions they are used to or bred in :thumb: can even take it a step further with a nanolux digital ballast with NCCS which allows you to control it through your phone or computer, can actually emulate sunrises and sunsets etc so the ballast will gradually increase/decrease wattage over an hour or so in the mornings and evenings :thumb: Tbh its a lot of work on top of the heap of work I already have to do for minimal advantages, I get pretty nice autumn colorings through most of my girls now without the need to adjust my lighting in any way, also running multiple strains would make it a technical nightmare ;) Unfortunately a lot of the strains out there these days are hybridized and bred indoors, unless working with landraces where you can pinpoint origin.

Thanks CS, great to see you bro :passitleft: I flowered out the 91K in my pollen tent last round and was one I was going to cull, till I smoked it  man she smokes up well, figured I just had to do a decent flower on her to see what she is made of :) The PU male is just pollen, shit is everywhere lol, haven't had a male pollinate the fems quite like this one before, one shake and everything was hit, even popcorn buds, cant wait to see the results :thumb:
That would be great cross

Unfortunately I don't have the 91 in the pollen tent right now, was no room but if all goes well I may be able to take a clone from the one I have in DWC and start its flowering process in the big tent, when its ready for pollination I will move it into the males position when I cull him ;) The 91 was in there with my Cindy Haze male, didn't get that many seeds from her at all and the ones I did get I gave to a local friend

Nice

This is how certain traits are lost I believe with certain strains. Who knows

Traits are going to be lost regardless along the way unless you are doing fields of open pollinations, selective breeding is just that, selecting one male to hit one female to take the best traits from each strain while breeding out the bad traits :thumb: its not a perfect science, you may be taking away 10 bad traits but along with it goes 5 good ones, comes down to how good the breeder is and their selections ;)
