Man veg has been so slow around here too hehe, I topped Gorilla Bomb about a week and a half ago and still taking its sweet ass time to come back, its going into flower tonight had to put the heater in there the other night, was like 15c with lights on, drawing in 5c air from outside
Should have some awesome stuff up your uncles way was actually looking at yantra earlier for some more traditional aussie genetics but they have fuck all, don't even have the Mullumbimby anymore, only one that looked half decent was one from out nimbin

Yeah they've got good stuff up there very clean consistent strains though not huge in thc can smoke all day
When I take my stuff up there it rocks them haha they are trippers
I know the Aussie strains are dying out since the ability to import seeds so easily online came in. My cousin went to Amsterdam around 13 years back got him to send some white widow seeds from GHSC in a postcard I couldn't believe they got through back then!

Just a little tip - Make sure you follow a couple of journals making seeds before you start working with pollen I was about to start a similar project myself, but after following a couple of journals and seeing what kind of trouble they ran into when it comes to the handling of pollen and how difficult it is to avoid accidentally pollinating your entire crop.

Long story short - I figured I will need a room away from the mothers sealed completely off. Carbon filters ain't enough to stop the pollen from entering your tents. Perhaps you can get away with doing it in one room with two tents if you make sure to have underpressure in the pollen tent 100% of the time. You have to be able to turn off all ventilation/fans/etc before you open the tent to avoid pollen escaping. Even when you do that you still risk pollinating your entire grow cause that pollen get everywhere.

Ohhhh I would love to produce my own seeds. I just need to plant the male seeds but I can only do that in the end of summer.

Nah that's not that long ago but the seeds themselves are about 20 years old i think lol, so 5 years ago they were 15 years old and still popping, not bad considering they were stored in a drawer in a sandwich bag, just think these ones are past their useby date Nah still no luck on the other seeds ive been trying to get going, i will hold off on the rest till it starts warming up and got a couple more things to try as a last resort

Decently old enough and yeah good for how they were stored Hopefully not all of them bro Ah shit, yeah hopefully with the better weather you'll have better luck with germination

Thanks DobeWan and welcome mate Yeah in flower she was smelling pretty rank, more of a body odor mixed with off oranges It still has a full on orange taste to it but after a cure doesn't seem to smell like its been under an armpit Effects are couchlock, very relaxing weed, puts you to sleep if you keep smoking it, had plenty of nights missing out on seeing the plants because i passed out and slept through hehe. Tbh I'm not a big fan of the flavor that much but I'm sure others that are looking for that sort of thing will love it, I was mixing it with either Sour D or Incredible Bulk just to give it that bit of an Indica kick Only real recommendation with them would be to watch how much N goes into them in flower, maybe even cut it a lot earlier than you usually would May need to tie up branches as can be rubbery, also try to keep them low as they can be pretty stretchy

I had a good laugh last night reading all of your descriptions over time of how the 24K smelled! Thanks for the tips, I'm only just into week 2 of flower and already the 24Ks are complaining about the N so I cut back a bit. I trained until I was out of horizontal space then let them go vertical and I'm seeing a ton of stretch. This seems like a real "less is more" strain for me but it's growing really nicely so far.

Very easy and fun to do exciting to see the results of your creations, just moved a couple more of my seedlings inside from the greenhouse today, 2x Lost Coast OG x Sour D which are both showing signs of purple, the only 2 out of 50 or so seeds i have out there

I have a few mates on the hunt for me right now looking for seeds, hopefully can get my hands on a few of them before they all die off, everyone i talk to these days is all about running imported seed, ive been telling them to keep any bagseed they get from any bush they buy I'm yet to see a seed though, hopefully my mate from up cairns will come through next time he is down this way, said he has a few people that might have what I'm looking for

Yeah man, its like a kid walking into a candy shop going for all the bright colors and fancy packaging, not realising what we already have is 10x better than what we can buy If i could only go back and kick my own ass for not keeping our original strains going This outdoor season I'm going for the La Nina and focusing on the mango seeds i have before they go to shit too, will drop in a whole heap of them and find something special in there

Yeah you need to be very careful when working with pollen, as i have said before i don't even open my pollen tent until the last thing of a night, this way any lingering pollen cant accidentally enter the flower tent. Carbon filters should stop all pollen unless its not working correctly, the carbon filters usually come with a washable pollen filter that fits over the top, should also not be venting back into the room, mine vents into the roof void which is the furthest point from where my air is drawn in through the window Personally i don't run a fan in my pollen tent at all, pollen does not get stirred up unless i stir it up

Another idea is to take a spray bottle of water in with you and once everything is closed up, give the whole room a mist which will kill off any active pollen lingering in the air

Thanks mate, yeah I'm not the best with smells or effects it got me stoned, tasted like crap to begin with but was tolerable after a bit of a cure The 24k has got me looking more into the kush strains though, looking for something that doesn't have the fruity flavors but yields a bit better than the OG's, probably start back with the Bubbas and go from there I will have to come check out your grow when i get a chance mate, been a big couple of days here, updates coming soon
