Still haven't found any solid figures on heat output from the cmh. I'm sure they are awesome and I will no doubt have them eventually, but just cannot justify the cost ATM. In a year when my weed pays for them sure. The $10 a month power saving is neither here nor there for me. They seem to work awesome tho. My hydro store man keeps giving me the hard sell. Once they are $300-$400 I'll consider it.

I have a sunsystem lec 315w that's air cooled ballest built into it and it's by far my best light I used to run 1000 hps only for my grows now my lec is by far my best light PAR is amazing growth is FAST and spectrum is great I definitely recommend it with a 3k bulb for seed to harvest it works great

My advice if using a net would be not take them too far with topping, maybe 2-3 times and continue to tuck for about 2 weeks into stretch, let them go for the third week and stretch should be close to finishing up, should end up with some awesome colas and a full net :) with my space I'm trying to maximize both vertical and horizontal space in my tent, when using a net you are trying to fit as much in at the one level as possible ;) way I see it is I have more vertical space in my tent than I do horizontal so should by rights end up with a bigger yield as long as there is good light penetration :) yoyos are bloody handy things hehe, pain in the butt when setting up as many as I have but makes it all worthwhile when stringing up a droopy plant, can have a plant nice and steady in less time than it would take me to tie 2 knots in a bit of string to hold up one branch

I use yo-yos for two things training plants and holding up heavy colas, they are definitely a PAIN in the ass, but like you said very useful I have plant string also but last resort, and plant stakes to hold down branches they are soft covered metal, but yo-yos definitely help a lot.

the yo-yos are holding my mainfold in position otherwise it would pull into each other cola space the white hooks get held down with plant ties but I let those branch loose bc they have plenty of space in between I kept 2nd and 4th node cleaned the rest off, so there is a example of yo-yos not only holding up plants colas

It's not the size of your bulb, it's the way you hang it...

Most definitely :) hehe

Nice one mate, I have the 3k bulbs but have only used them in flower so far :thumb: Id think about using them for veg but tbh the small MH I'm running in there already gives them more than I need, already have plants sitting in there waiting for the flower tent getting huge

Just wanna say a brief WOWZA Feral, awesome buddage u got going on there

Forgot ur on the Philips 315

How many did u get in the end?

Thanks mate :) yeah I'm running 2x Hi-Par Sunstorm pro kits which run the Phillips bulbs :) both of them in the 5x5 lights it up really well, 1x 315w for each plant :thumb: once I sort out a new area I'm hoping to be running 3 of them, all in their own 1mx1m area :high-five:

I spent quite a lot on my yoyos, just because of the amount I have  Ill tell you what though it was a lot easier forking out all that money compared to losing my shit every time I had to tie the plants up with string  man I don't miss that at all

I use these little stakes for Christmas lights sometimes. They work good

I never thought of doing that with them, I usually use pipe cleaners to hold my branches down but that's mainly because I have holes all around the top of my lids and pots which make it really easy to tie to and the pipe cleaners don't seem to cut into the stalk like most ties do :)

Ok so I finally have my greenhouse up, a lot shorter than expected as it was supposed to be 1.8m tall, I need to duck a little to get in there and I'm probably lucky to be around 1.7m tall.

It was a lot bigger job than expected, all the cleared out area you see was completely overgrown with blackberry, here is a pic of what it was like ;) there is actually a trailer in there I found

The greenhouse was pretty poorly made, some of the ties are on the wrong side of the cover, others sewn in wrong, and overall didn't really have any way to tie down to the frame at the base. What I did was tie it all down as best as I could and then ran a row of pavers around the bottom. So first thing I did was lay down weed mat, held down by small tent pegs, frame of the greenhouse went up and pinned down with large tent pegs, cover went over and tied down, row of bricks around the outside and then finally filled the inside with about half a tonne of rock for drainage.

The rock I used is just the cheapest available, its a mixture of broken cups, plates, bricks, pavers, glass, tiles and terracotta ;)

Well done mate.. now I know why your tired.. I was thinking I don't get worn out on my iPhone, how's a blackberry different :rofl: that will come in real handy mate, can't wait to see how you use it.. how much crushed rock you got at bottom, 100 ml :rofl: your plants are looking phenomenal bud :passitleft: good shit  not at $30 (from previous comment in my thread)

Tired and have cuts all over from these damn thorny fuckers  crushed rock at bottom varies, ground was not very level so in places its probably as low as an inch thick, and high as about 3" ;) but I was talking about hitting my head before I even added that In there so now I have about 100mm even less than before  should be a nice little area to grow in, will give me plenty of room to pheno hunt a few of these crosses ive made, hopefully be big enough to grow a couple of plants in at the end of next season as a backup incase we get the rain again :)

Will be good to acclimatise clones for the outdoor season also.. :high-five:

forgot to mention too, I burnt out a hedge trimmer doing it, cant find the receipt so going to buy another one today and will use that receipt to exchange the other  that way I will have 2, got heaps more to do, that was just the first area, next will be clearing out and building a big veggie garden :)

Bunnings? You don't need a receipt. They get you to fill out a form for lost receipts. I got a new hedge trimmer for three years in a row. I finally got sick of swapping them over I got a Honda, best decision I made  I hate cheap shit. I always find I really need to use it as it breaks

Let's go man
