Nice colas on your BeBos. The rot was a shame. As dry as it gets here, I kinda doubt I’ll have to deal with that. Keeping the bugs at bay will be my trip.
But from the other growers at the time, it looks like phat colas are a strain trademark.
Everyone basking in the sun today. They’re getting big enough that they need more space. They don’t need the stress of fighting each other for the light. I’m thinking an up-pot is in order
I don’t actually boil it - just dip and swish it in 160F+ water for a couple minutes. It kills any beasties and helps dissolve any lingering nutrients from the last grow.
And this stuff doesn’t go down the kitchen drain - it gets rinsed out into the garden bed.
Here’s the recycled perlite in 5 of the $1 2-gallon buckets, and fresh perlite in one more $1 bucket and a 2-gallon paint bucket ($2).
Transplanting is a simple affair. Just float the perlite in the Solo cup, gently squeeze the sides, wiggle and lift. It’s a tek I learned from @SweetSue (Thank you!
You can see how aggressively the roots have populated the perlite already.
It isn’t always easy to get a photo since the operation does require two hands.
And here’s everyone resting in the shade (88F!) after a housewarming beverage (per gallon):
4ml Calimagic
4ml ProteKt
4g MC
1.5ml ‘pH down’
Awesome move good timing certainly. I didn't realize you had a new size of buckets for DT. They look like they are basically the same size as the Lowe's buckets. Certainly cheaper. Nice!
