Naw, just giving a bit extra time in the light. Don’t really want to set up an indoor grow.
Got it, they are getting all the DLI they need and the CFL's are just giving the full light schedule. We had talked about that at another time.

Yes, with my area getting a DLI between 40 to 45, and they are in direct sun for about 8 hours, I figure that they are getting around 25-26, which appears to be enough at this stage.

I noticed this morning that both of the BeBo kids have a touch of pinkish purple in the apical growth. As Buck pointed out, they are still a bit pale. So I went ahead and bumped up the feed to 1.1 EC

Off to work. I hope to get off earlier today so I can boil some more perlite and start some Auto seeds. Although I don’t think they’ll sprout in time for 4/20.

Be safe out there! Wash your hands again! :green_heart:

¡Hola amigos!

I hope everyone is healthy and sane o_O

The kids are having a good Sun day
(well, at least after the marine layer burned off around noon

So I finally got around to starting some Autos. Just couldn’t get to it after a long day. Had to wait for my day off.

The current selections are (2) Auto Kryptonite seeds and (1) Auto Jack Herer.

I put one Kryptonite (Ka1) in 100% recycled Vigaro (#2) perlite

And the other (Ka2), in a ~50/50 mix of the same perlite and some pumice (Dry Stall from the feed store), both recycled. I thought I would try this out

I put the Jack Herer (JHa) in 100% perlite. Hey, I know it very well.

If you zoom in, you can see that I was very careful to position the pointy end of the seeds up with my tweezers. This, and a bury depth of about 1/2”, should enable the seedlings to shed the shell, thus avoiding the dreaded helmet head.

Here’s everyone outside in the sun - the best way I found to provide light and heat.

I hope you are enjoying your Sun day too! :surf:

Oh, I forgot to mention that I changed the fertigation mix for the tweens to:

2ml/gal CALiMAGic
2ml/gal ProteKt
3g/gal MC v1

This provides:
86ppm N
19P
109K
83Ca
25Mg
45Si

This was done primarily to start adding silica, and also to boost the Ca and Mg, since my tap water is only 27ppm tds.

The initial pH of 7.4 after mixing the above, was brought down to 5.8 with 1ml/gal homemade “pH down” (diluted battery acid), which provides some additional sulfur.

Is this the mix you gave them at 1.1 EC? They look good after the last bump.

Hey Buck :high-five:
Thanks for stopping by.

The above mix actually comes out to 1.2 EC. I think they’re digging it too. Thanks!

Good morning!
BeBo2 (middle) is 3 weeks today and is pushing out the 5th node. The other 2 are right behind. It’s funny - both BeBos have 2 nodes with only 3 bladed fan leaves.

They will all get topped very soon - above the 4th node.

Enjoy your day! :hippy:

Yesterday really kicked my ass! And today looks like more of the same. So it’s very nice to be greeted in the morning by this sight

They’re still looking a bit pale to me (could be the halogen light over the stove). So I’m going to look at them again in the sun (if I get home by then), and possibly bump them up to 1.25 EC.
