FelipeBlu’s Outdoor Hempy Photos & Autos 2020

¡Hola Fred - thanks for stopping by my garden today! White Widow sounds nice! :passitleft:
My brother has just started three (Auto?) WW seeds, and I am eager to try the strain.

As you can probably tell, I love hempy. They do run through the solution outdoors during the summer, especially during the heat waves. For example, it’s been over 100F here the last couple of days, and the 5 gallon hempies are taking a gallon twice a day. But they grow fast, seem to have fewer pests than soil, and it’s easy to correct mistakes (like overdosing or other acts of confusion). :smokin2:

You echo my thoughts re weaving. No, I want those perimeter stems secured to the outside of the cage so that I can harvest them first, and then open the cage to harvest the center.

Thanks for the wishes - same back to ya! :green_heart:
That is a really cool way to use the cage. Reminds me of the tomato cages I've used.

Yep, the WW was a good plant . I don't have a scale but I got 3 qt jars of these and enough trim to make some nice, reduced tincture.

You, Shed, many others seem to easily grow great plants with ProMix/perlite. I have to say that my perlite hempies have been very bug-free, even being outdoors. I will try some ProMix next year.

Copycat! :laughtwo:

Does that mean that you'll follow my new grow, too? I hope so. I don't know what I would have done without all your help. :hugs:

Sweet nugs!
Was it an Auto? Do you recall who the breeder was?

Yeah, I did see that you were moving in that direction too. I’ve been considering it ever since Shed presented his conversation with the ProMix rep.

I don’t really have a problem with pH, and I do love that hempy is the most pest-free method I’ve found of growing annual container plants outdoors. So I will likely stick with hempy as my main method for growing cannabis.

If I want to eliminate the manual aspect of fertigating, I can drop a small pond pump into a 30 gallon tote and top water on a timer. Did that last year with peppers in 2 gallon hempy buckets and a 5 gallon hempy bucket with GLGA’s mom.

The 20 gallon hempy was a novelty this year, and the Berry Bomb is certainly obligingly living up to the breeder’s description for outdoors. But I think I’m going to drop back to the 2 gallon bucket as my standard Auto/shorter veg photo container, and a 5 gallon bucket for longer veg.

It has certainly been my pleasure in having had a part in introducing you to hempy. I hope that you will consider trying it again sometime with a photo-period strain that is a little easier to grow than the DDA.

I think we're going to move to coco after Pro-Mix. We're looking ahead in maybe a decade or so when we might have to move to an apartment and lugging up bags of dirt or Pro-Mix just isn't sustainable if we're moving because we can no longer do stuff like lug bags of dirt, etc.

The main thing I like about the perlite is that it's light but it's not biodegradable whereas coco is biodegradable and light.

But, that said, we still have a lot of perlite left so we'll probably add it to dirt for our veggies and herbs and berries next summer and I may well do another hempy grow with a photoperiod as well. Who knows?

Hiya Heavenly - thanks for your kindness! These Berry Bombs have been a real joy to grow this year.

I wish everyone could experience a safe outdoor grow. I hope your state changes soon.

It was a photo and the seeds came from Holland a few years back from a non sponsor seed co. I won't mention here.

If you've got the mason jars I do, I've found they hold about 2 ounces giver take. Nice haul, I grew out that WW once, SUPER GOOD BUDS!!!!!!!!
