Farside05's OG Kush & Sour Diesel Photo Grow

Day 85/Day 50 of 12/12

Here we are at the first day of week 8 since switching to 12/12. Just mainly a waiting game now. Continuing to feed 1 tsp Foliage Pro and 3/4 tsp of Pro-Tekt. Starting to see the buds swell a bit which is making me happy.

Love your updates farside...awesome brother.. And still jealous, actually getting more so as that sour d gets closer...
 
Looked through the handheld microscope this AM. Sour D appears to be closer to harvest than the OG does (breeder stats say OG 9 weeks and Sour D 10-11 weeks).
 
Sour D #1 cameo appearance. Still probably a couple weeks out. The smell has changed a bit. There is now a hint of fuel behind all that lemony goodness.

Is that the pineapple haze looks more ready then the strawberry kush. Last grow was
Exactly the opposite with the haze being a lot longer till harvest. I think my harvest maybe
Sooner then I Expected.
 
Beautiful plants. My friend swears by RQS. I've never grown their gear, but these plants certainly look the business.
 
Placed the order for next rounds seeds. Went with Royal Queen Painkiller XL. Going to see how a 1:1 THC to CBD ratio plant works for the wife's fibromyalgia. Supposed to be about 9% each. On the downside, wife's pain management doc is going to start drug testing her, so she'll have to lay off the herb about every 3rd month. Docs want to make sure they and their buddies in the pharmaceutical industry continue to get paid you know.

Here she is lolsmyfc. A centerfold of OG Kush. She's 100% cloudy so not too much longer. Fed all the girls tonight and started cutting back on the nutes a bit in anticipation of the harvest. Went back to 3/4 tsp Foliage Pro and 1/4 tsp Pro Tekt.

The Sour D is Royal Queen, OG is Dinafem. I've had good luck with Dinafem before. This was my first grow with Royal Queen and was impressed enough that I chose one of their high CBD strains for the next grow. Thinking of going all in too. Normally I grow a couple different strains but thinking about growing 4 of the high CBD's. Although I still have another Sour D and 2 OG's left. Could grow 2 high CBD's and another Sour D and OG. Then I have a bunch of Auto seeds (6), or a 10 pack of mystery regulars from Nirvana. Choices abound.
 
I was going to flip sour d last night but going to wait, I'm nervous with her/it/him :rofl:

That's not a Sour D you have there Grizz, It's a new strain called Caitlyn Jenner. :rofl:

I am aware that you can't clone autos. Wasn't trying to. The product I had used was Dyna-Gro's KLN. It's a liquid rooting hormone that you use when transplanting or with seedlings to build more root mass. Supposedly it causes the plant to focus more on roots than vegetative growth. While this may be OK with a photo (you could just veg a little longer before the flip), it's my belief that you loose a week or two of growth on an auto if you use it, and you end up with short ass little plants. I'll get to test that theory some day when I grow the same strains again with my left over seeds. Next time I'll skip the KLN.

We are cloning autos in Oregon for some time now with great success.
