One of my sour d clones in flowering has a leaf that its finger curves to the side like that a little.

When she was a baby, she had a couple that were all green and had one or two curvy fingers (deformed side was smooth along the edge). As she got a little bit of age to her she started throwing misshapen and variegated. Do you have any idea of the lineage/seed company your Sour D clone came from?

EDIT - Looked at your journal and yours is from Royal Queen too. Hmmmm, a pattern is developing.

Ya my sour d is from royal queen seeds i took the clones off myself but they came off seed plant. Mine doesn't have the yellow going on but one of the fingers curves like the letter C. I could get a picture for ya tonight if ya want currently its bed time for my flowering girls.

I read somewhere that Nitrogen deficiencies can cause strange new growth, but I don't buy that's what's going on here. I feed 9-3-6 fertilizer from start to finish on my girls, and you can see that there is no yellowing on any of the plants. Now I hear someone else has similar deformities with the same strain/breeder and I'm more inclined to see it as a genetic issue. I still wouldn't hesitate revegging a clone from her. She is a beautiful plant with a great smell. Unfortunately I have other strains I want to grow next time and would have no where to keep it.

Day 75/Day 40 of 12/12

Did some defoliation over the last two days to try to get better light penetration to the lower buds. Also, my oscillating tower fan quit oscillating. Guess I'll be heading to Wally's in the morning to get a replacement for it.

Awesome mate... loving it far side, so happy for you mate...

Thanks growtohealme and Grizz.

Looking lush bro. Got to say them looks better then the auto's you did in the past. I will be trying my hand at autos next go around, I'm looking forward to growing them.

Yeah, these are stomping my last 3 grows. First grow I didn't have a clue. Was a total noob. Second grow i was getting it. Third I had an idea but had an equipment malfunction that I blame. That and I think rooting hormone and auto's don't mix, I would caution against using it for them. Fourth grow...ding ding ding, we have a winner! I have plenty of leftover auto beans. I kinda wish these were autos. I would be harvesting now instead of having to wait several more weeks. These look worth the wait though. Next grow will be photo plants again.

Ya you can't clone autos seed only however if you still have some auto seeds you could always do a run of them then hit them with some colloidal silver

I am aware that you can't clone autos. Wasn't trying to. The product I had used was Dyna-Gro's KLN. It's a liquid rooting hormone that you use when transplanting or with seedlings to build more root mass. Supposedly it causes the plant to focus more on roots than vegetative growth. While this may be OK with a photo (you could just veg a little longer before the flip), it's my belief that you loose a week or two of growth on an auto if you use it, and you end up with short ass little plants. I'll get to test that theory some day when I grow the same strains again with my left over seeds. Next time I'll skip the KLN.

Oops my bad. Sorry bout that i assumed you were trying to clone autos cause you were talking about a rooting hormone now i understand. Would you happen to know if the dyna-grow kln is anything like the GH rapidstart? I have a little sample of that its suppose to promote root growth and stuff kinda reminds me of how you descibe your stuff.

Looking at the MDS of both products, they are completely different ingredients. Not sure how it would play out. Since the KLN is a hormone it has a relatively short shelf life. Needles to say I won't bother restocking on it.

Also, my oscillating tower fan quit oscillating. Guess I'll be heading to Wally's in the morning to get a replacement for it.

Fan replaced. Paid $17 for the last one, $24 this time. Same exact fan from the same exact store. Guess ole' Wally marks the fans up in the summer when everyone is hot. Bought the last one in the winter time. I tore the old one apart. It would appear that there is a gear in the oscillating motor that is broke. Its a sealed little motor and you can hear it grinding in there. The fan still works so I won't throw it away. I just want one that moves back and forth, sweeping across the plants rather than blowing at one spot all the time.

Day 81 (Day 46 of 12/12)

Been 6 days since the last photo updates. Not too much to say. Feeding 1 tsp of Foliage Pro and 3/4 tsp of Pro-Tekt per gallon. Remove a spent leaf here and there, but otherwise everyone is healthy and getting a few days closer to the finish.

Thanks MagicJim. Hoping they start packing on some weight here in the next couple weeks. The buds are still a little smaller than I'd like, but other than that...
