little update, so they had their first proper feed yesterday, you can see in the most recent pics the 2nd true leaves were only properly distinguishible on the 2 royal haze, #2 more so, well today they are showing nicely in all 5,
ph run off from was a little high at 7, but i had no ph down for the solution so that went in at like 6.2, i picked up some ph down today though which i will use on todays tea i brewed last night. same coctail as last nights in above post.

the canna nutes i was given a little but the b was almost gone and i had ordered some fresh bottles, after a bitof reading around on here though i noticed a number of people finding much improved results when switching from canna to an mgb or ionic coco for example, decided last night i wouldnt stick with the canna and sent them back today and went ahead and got some ionic coco grow instead, the store had no mgb in stock and only 1l left of the ionic grow lol plenty of canna on the shelves :/
anyway went with the ionic, will stick with the bloom for flower, and will look to get some voodoo juice and gwm also and try to follow cultivators schedule as much as needed. finished about 50 pages of the coco feed schedule thread yesterday and finally after mixing a couple of my own batches while playing with my ph/ppm/ec i have my head around it and understand (kinda, better than ‘to begin’ anyway) what i am to do

temps dropped below 14c at lights off yesterday, and sitting steady around 19/20c with 60rh during lights on, hoping my little heater arrives soon to help control that a little more, but i figure its good they get a little chilly to begin, surely if they sprout in spring its not all to warm anyway at night just yet lol. they seem to cope just fine anyway.

is it lazyness? i dont think so, i am keen to learn and try techniques, impatient for sure, but eager none the less; however i dont think i want to waste the time, or cash long term buying products which will constantly need checking over. afer a fair bit of reading,i went ahead and ordered the AN MGB ph perfect combo, the multiple people saying they forgot all about ph’ng since php over the years has convinced me to try it,

my understanding of it is that the buffer added keeps the solution within a set range and something in the php system allows for a broader range for nute uptake. correct? or near enough at least lol
anyway i hope its worth it: is more expensive than most of the other brands especially considering the need for 3 parts, i thought the ionic would be easy due to the 1 part solution, i rather mix the 3 quickly and not piss about ph’ng all night

heater arrived today so as of tomorrow no more drastic ‘night’ ‘day’ fluctuations, since adding the mars the temps sit between 25-27 lights on, humidity was dropping low now though at times, verging down to below 50 so set the extractor to come on and off at intervals for now and seems to sit between 50-65 ok, monitering and trying to adjust, will add some wet paper towels for some humidity if needed, i guess the evaporation will help? humidifier will be last resort, i am
sure i can sort the enviro without one (i hope)

i have noticed the last couple of days the 2 RH (af seeds from a previously grown af, for anyone that missed it) the leaves are standing up pointing toward the light quite a bit, and ever so slightly curling at the tips, ever so small but just noticible, are they literally reaching for the lights? and if so should i lower them a little, the 2gas and the critical arent doing it really and leaves are pretty level. pics below with lights off quickly just after feeding. hard to get the true colour withought bringing them down to true light lol

how do they look please, anything you guys think needs changing ir adjusting? or just keep on for now, i was planning on keeping the ppm around 4-450 and maybe uping slightly to nearer 500 when the next set of leaves are fully formed, may be a little earlier for the royals, anyway cheers for reading

anyway trying to sort humidity, temps are good but humidity dropping lower with higher degree. added a small plastic tub with a cloth to absorb and release, done the job so far, comfortably sitting around 24c with 55-65% rh

Everything looking great. I don’t see anything outta place .. humidity will go down with lights on and go up at lights off . I had a small humidifier going during seedling/veg stage. Now I have a small dehumidifier going now. During lights on now in flower gets to 42. Lights off shoots to 60. Happy growing. Magic

yeah i noticed the humidity rocketing up at lights out as my temps were dropping too low, should have that fixed now though be happy once i got it balanced!

Growing this weed is an art form. Lol. your post on the ph. Up down. Etc. it does get time consuming , but in the end it all pays off. Every medium is different. I use the ph perfect base nutes and I check after all is mixed and I land at the sweet spot. Sometime a little adjustment. But when I water with water. I need to ph .. I ph at 6.0 with pro mix hp. My water is 6.8 outta the tap. Keep it the same and they will reward you in the end. Happy growing. Magic.

aye im quickly learning its not just a case of put a seed add some water give some light lol
iknow the ph’ng is necrssary, especially as i am running in coco, and i distill my tap water so starting with a ppm/ec of 2/0 but ph around 7-7.4.
once i add my nutes it drops but varies, sometimes drops to 6.2-5 sometimes, like yesterday it fell to 4.5 lol
at least wirh the phperfect i wont need to be so anal about it.

Etc. im on my first grow , I’ve learned a lot from this forum and the peeps are great. I found growing to be very therapeutic and relaxing. My back sore after I’ve been hunched over in the tent. But the wife got me a small chair and it’s great. I run all my equipment through a Neptune apex. Which was designed for aquariums. I’ve made some changes to it and now runs the grow tent. I can check in anytime as it’s connected to the net. I will be installing a live feed from tent. Which will only be active when lights on. Powered down when lights off. Just enjoy the grow. Magic

is funny you say that, ive been looking at vivarium heat and humidity controls etc and wondering if i can adapt them for a grow tent lol mighh look into that neptune thingy though!

so this happened to the rh1

2 or 3 small rust looking spots, ph or nute related? rest are fine, this one looks fine too except these on the 1 leaf.

i know sorry about thecolour lol lights had just come on didnt want to turn off and piss around too much with door open, it is just the spots arrowed only, on the one leaf of that plant.
i am adding calmag to 2ppm distilled until around 140-150ppm, only been able to ph roughly the last 3 days or so, havent flushed just was hoping daily feeds now at ph’d levels 5.7-6.2 (still working on getting the drops right with the ph up/down lol obviously aiming for 5.8-6 but thats what they had so far) would bring it within range. wasnt sure if that was the issue.

yes, most likely is the case, and the pH is needing to be within the range so the calcium and magnesium are available to the plant

magnesium deficiency is a nasty one because damage like this will never go away, it will just stop spreading when you start giving enough magnesium.

yeah thought so, today ph was 5.7. using the ionic grow atm, drops ph to about 4.5. nearly had it on the magic 5.8. i dont want to keep going up and down to get it exact tho so i try for as few drops up or down to get it close and drop it in, they have had 200ml each day so far. think maybe up the volume too?

upping the dosage isnt going to help if it isnt mobile... work on that pH and keep giving the recommended amount for now

all is well
think i have my day/night temps sorted, stable for a couple of days holding 24-27c lights on and only dropping to 20/21 lights off, humidity within good range, have my fan click on and off every halfhour which seems to regulate ok. happy with it atm anyway

feeding schedule i have added an extra feed from today in the morning, and another 15mins ago (30mins after lights on)
volume 200ml each feed 400ppm
cm 120-130ppm (1ml/pl)
ionic grow 280ppm(3ml/pl)
1ml hornet superroots at lights on feed (was planning on once a day unless anyone thinks ok to add for both feeds)
ph 5.8-6
i have noticed i do not need to always adjust ph, i try to leave the solution a few hours before feeding and always check to adjust before giving, last 4 feeds have been 5.8/5.88/5.8/6

havent noticed any rust spots on new growth like on a couple of the first leaves, but some of the secondary growth is showing nicely on the 2 royal haze’.
theyre definately spurring on faster than the others lol

should also mention, i have switched the vanders to include the extra red light when in bloom mode to see what happens for a couple days.

have seen some plants this age quite a bit bigger around lol still im quite pleased with them so far lol
