I've read through your thread and then realized your mini cabinet looks like it may actually be a cardboard box?
I'd like to suggest something fun, stealthy, stylish DIY project that can help you hide the grow...
Something like this, but smaller...
Maximum height of 12 or 14 inches square and 3 or 4 feet tall... Of course either build or buy a glass aquarium/ cabinet half the hight you see in the photo... the cabinet under the aquarium is great for a micro cab, might actually give you more space and of course super stealthy because any sound/smell if any coming from it you can just blame It on the aquarium haha.. I've actually done this myself with a 50gal aquarium 2x4 feet in size, so much larger. Worked out great... Anyways, just an idea for ya to toss around.

You're right, too - the aquarium would be very good cover in the sense of both sound and smell.

Yeah it was easy enough to do the little Ikea Eket cabinet.
Your aquarium idea is awesome. I could even grow a house plant in the transparent top part of the aquarium and the cannabis plant in the cabinet below! I don't know if I can invest in a project like this any time soon, but maybe one day.

I started with this;

This was years ago so I cant seem to find the photos after I had the wood cherry stained.
For the "hidden grow" I just removed the shelfs inside and converted it into a grow space, worked perfectly. Was approx 36 inches x 18x 30" in size for the grow area.
Now a large treadmill sits in this space lol

I must confess I am very new to DIY. I'm the useless soft urban type and with working fulltime I really have to go in for these kinds of projects.
My GF keeps asking me why I don't just assemble my own cabinet and I'm like chiiiiiilllll I haven't even got my head around growing yet
You've got me thinking though... Maybe a 2021-2022 project!

Her hubby a big investment holder in UK cannabis all the while she was signing laws to stop people getting access easily.
I have one of those exact things (in white) and was about to use it as a veg space right before I decided to have the slightly bigger box built. Great minds...

LOL I think I actually did see that meme. Wasn't as invested in cannabis politics at the time so probably didn't register deeply.
Based on my forays in that community, the Eket is becoming the popular choice for stealth growers.
Curious if Ikea wonders why the Eket has become so popular amidst the pandemic

I thought I was smart by using microscales to measure feeds, for utmost precision.
In order to do so, I was relying on the 1mL : 1g equivalence, which holds true for water, specifically, and thus extends to most solutions.
Except for the fact that my base nutes are not a watery solution/dilution, but instead have the density and viscosity of molasses!
I worked out that 1 mL of my base nutes is the equivalent of 1.2g and 1.3g, veg and flower nutes, respectively.
I've been wondering why my plants have consistently been on the lighter side...
I thought I was smart by using microscales to measure feeds, for utmost precision.
