DWC - Drip Irrigation Scrog 2400W

Dam...24 days...rootbound by xmas...i'm starting to like this dwc...they are outgrowing my potted plants..and this glr...you better get on board...that cmh light should be icing on the cake...my cake...you got enough light...i'm fixing to start a mother in water..i guess i betta learn how to trim roots...:goodjob:

No need to trim roots, just sart in small bucket and just keep getting bigger. of course there will come a point when u need to trim. u could get many many cuttings from dwc mother.

Yea I just might have to get on board with hydro. Looking very nice C. But are you at all worried about the slim branches? With roots like that they will forsure put out alot. I know I asked this already but the way there growing is super fast but it doesnt look like the thickness of the branches will catch up

branches wont be issue. this strain is very stringy even in soil. I add silica and they are surprisingly strong for there size. I will support the buds anyway, as the buds will be very heavy and many of them. Ive grown many strains but AMS is def the best compromise of strength and yield for hydro.

I have a strain growing now that is also stringy in soil. Im giving it lots of silicon and it still doesnt promote thick branching. But I will have to use a tomato cage to hold the buds up

Hey Cultivator -

Great pics on the root development. Looks like things are dialed in nicely for you. :thumb:

I agree that the ideal way to go is to flower cuttings for uniformity and quickness, especially if you are trying to max yield/production. Ideally cuttings from the same strain to keep things really uniform. I'm always mixing strains though for variety, as I'm only growing for me and I value the variety a lot (though that makes things far more challenging at times).

what sort of silica are u giving it? there are diff types and some dont absorb easily. it doesnt necessarilly make roots thick but it does make them stronger.

so i started another 10 dwc pots today, just thought id share for something to do lol.

Yo cultivator scrogger here do you plan on cleaning under 1/3 of plant from all its sucker buds ??? you mention scrog i see no screen ???

I no longer scrogging, i mentioned that earlier i think? i didnt have the time to set it up earlier. the defoliated pic will be how it will finish, i wont be taking anything else off aprt from another defolitaion of leaf later on. This strain particularly doesnt have sucker buds per se, what i mean is they will all establish into more than pop corn. Ive played around with this strain for a few years now and it doesnt like too many branches or lower growth stripped. Defoliation of fan leaf is fine. and some very small growth at very bottom of plant. so no im not taking lower 3rd off.

I do do it on other strains though.

You ain't just a whistlin dixie there my brotha! Makes it really difficult at times. But, I get different orders for grows so I have to supply what is requested for the most part.

Water temps? How do you keep it cool enough? Just wonderin.

temps now are at 70f, a little high but i add cannazyme and guardian which allows the roots to thrive in this temp. The guardian is a fantastic product, it prevents rot, i not sure how it works i just know that it does! lol. and obviously the cannazyme to break down the dead matter.

First 2 weeks i use frozen milk cartons as its a waste to load up on the enzymes and additves when roots arent reaching res.

I can relate to that. I do have grows with diff strains growing at same time but they are much larger more managable spaces. Its a ball ache mixing indicas and sativas in tents lol.
