Dutchman's Auto Quads Vs LST With A Critical+2.0 Twist!

I love the idea of using the folding clips to hold and position the LST wires!

Hey GTX I’m glad to have you! Welcome to my journal! I hope you grab a seat and a blunt! Make yourself feel at home and don’t hesitate to ask any questions!

The clips definitely make adjusting the wires easy! I can bend an manipulate them in multiple ways. They work well for fabric pots as well! You can clip them on the sides and train the same way.

Dec.27
Hello everyone! I hope your all well and enjoying the last week of the year! 2019 is almost here and I’m excited to see what’s in store! I have lots of plans to expand my growing knowledge, optimize my environment and feeding, and ideally maximize quality!

I’ll start with the Critical girls today as they are on growing steady with new health growth. No watering today and no continues training until tomorrow. A few selective fan leaves will be removed to open the inner part of the plant to more light and then further extending the ties to keep training them outwards. The lower nodes are basically even with the top of the plant now so from here on out they will begin to get tied down and out to maintain the flat canopy that we are after. There hasn’t been any further discolouration in the lower fan leaves and there’s been steady growth so I think our deficiency problems are taken care of.

Well that is of course until we move on over to our Autoflowers! Until this morning all of the Autoflowers were doing great! Unfortunately I have noticed a slight deficiency starting in CCa1 and PEa2. I have some photos from CCa1 since it’s a bit more visible. PEa2 has just one very small rust spot starting but it’s hard to see.

I’m almost certain it is a calmag issue again as I haven’t fed them anything yet. This tells me it’s time to start feeding them. All 4 Autoflowers are almost dry and ready for more water so tomorrow I will mix up 1Gallon of distilled water with CalMag, Voodoo Juice, and light Veg Nutes. I’ll be sure to keep an eye on these lower leaves to make sure this doesn’t progress! I’m confident that with a light feeding and some boosted calmag these lovely little babies should bounce right back and take off! I have a good feeling that once they get their first feeding we will see some significant growth.

I’ll break down my feed amounts in tomorrow’s update to keep it simple and together. That’s it for now but we are getting close to Autoflower training so the fun is about to begin!

I hope your all well and enjoying the day! I’ll be busy in the kitchen making some edibles and infusions so enjoy yourselves be safe and .....

Stay Medicated!:Namaste:

Rust spots on the leaves are probably calcium deficiency, and when there's also yellowing between the veins it's magnesium. Cal-mag is how we handle both of those unless you can source them separately.

Thanks for the input Shed! I will be giving them calmag tomorrow during their watering/feeding! Hopefully we see some quick turn around. Otherwise the girls are doing great! I think it’s just starting to show up also since I increased the LED. I know the use of LEDs make plants CalMag hungry!

What’s up everyone! Got some exciting things to go over today so let’s jump right into it!

All of the Autoflowers were dry enough to need water today. Since they have all slight signs of calmag def with CCa1 showing the worst signs:

This is progressed since yesterday. With today’s watering I have increased their CalMag and also introduced their first round of Veg Nutes at 1/8th strength. The feed they all got today:

- 1Gallon of distilled water mixed with
  • 2.5mL of CalMag
  • 8mL of Voodoo Juice
  • 2.5mL of Veg Nutes (1/8th Strength)
  • PH: 6.1 PPM: 215
They all got 1L of this mix. The next few days will determine if this has helped and hopefully will stop the deficiency from progressing any further! Making sure we catch these or any deficiencies early on like this will give us the best results for recovery and continued growth without problems! I will be sure to monitor the growth closely over the next week to make sure we are in the clear.

Now moving onto the Critical+2.0 girls. They have been growing steady and with the Inner nodes growing bigger and the fan leaves also growing larger it is almost time to remove the fan leaves growing from the top nodes that are covering the inner nodes. I’ll be doing this tomorrow and I will be sure to go over it to make things clear.

Other than that the girls are doing good. I have started seeing roots coming from the drain holes on these 1gal. Pots so Both the criticals will be needing a transplant very soon.

Now today I received my Temperature and Humidity Controllers! These will enable me to dial in my environment to optimize my VPD to allow my plants the best growing opportunity. I will talk more about VPD and these controllers when I get them set up!

I hope you all a happy and safe weekend to be and stay medicated!

With distilled or RO water, the trace nutrient needs of the plants – as well as calcium and magnesium – are much higher than those using tap water. Feel free to bump that number up without fear of injuring the plants.

My bottle of calmag recommends 2mL/Gal for seedlings/clones and 3-5mL/Gal for vegetative and flower.

I did bring my big EM up to 8mL/Gal.

I didn’t want to shock them with a heavy dose right away. With that knowledge of my calmag would you still suggest going higher?

I know with distilled water I am able to nutrient dose a bit heavier.
