Dutchman's Auto Quads Vs LST With A Critical+2.0 Twist!

Got to be damn expensive to ship that 2.5 gallon bottle up north!

Terpinator is on Oregon's banned substance list so I haven't gotten any with my winnings either. I think it's the only state that has it on the list so I feel for you Sauga! I should remember gifting it to another member that can have it if I win anything again.

Dutch the Critical Quads are looking awesome and PE1 just keeps tugging at my heart strings! I want her to do so well since that structure is nailed. Hopefully you've figured out how to remedy the situation now. She keeps on trucking but it would be nice to see her happy again.

So I had some time on my hands today Dutch and did a little more reading re MC for coco and soilless grows.
The Calmag they say is not required by most growers depending on the brand of coco, the strain, and light intensity. If you feel you need to add Calmag they recommend boosting your MC or getting a supplement such as Calmag. Bottom line is to experiment and see if you need it.
I always added it to soil once in flower, although again they say it's not needed, but my experience shows that adding Calmag during that time has not overcooked the plants and only helped in giving what the plants were looking for.

As for our supplements, well they say it's not needed (ie Bud Explosion and Sweet Candy) and is offered to enhance grows for advanced growers. Heck we're advanced growers now right???
I've never felt the need to add anything extra and after my second grow with this stuff I should be able to see a difference, if any, on my next grow when using the supplements

One thing interesting though is Sweet Candy cannot be mixed in with MegaCrop and sold together as one. High amounts of carbohydrates/sugars, so they sell it as a standalone product, but the two work fine together as separate entities mixed as one in water. So it leads me to believe that Sweet Candy should be used during flower to get the most out of the MC base nutrient.
Sweet candy is supposed to be used from start to finish. Are you still thinking to only run it in flower? The write ups say it helps with root production and stimulation and then flower enhancer. I can take some pictures of my bag close up for you if you like.

Crystal Candy reminds me of Snuffler a little bit. That's not an insult by the way, I like Snuffler despite the name lol. Keep at it buddy :)
:passitleft:
None taken! She’s a pretty girl I just wish they were bigger!

Could they not ship the Terpinator to Canada? It sounds similar to Sweet Candy.
Nope! They don’t ship to Canada and I assume its because of costs but that’s ok!

Thanks Ase! That critical girls are killing it for sure! I know PEa1 is being difficult but I know I’ll get her figured out! If I can get her happy and perky again she will be a gorgeous auto quad!!

No I have the same bag.. my plan was only during flower. I use Kelp Extract during veg which is a plant enhancer & growth stimulant, thus giving vigorous growth of the plant and stem! So they say.
I hadn't thought other then at flower to boost it since they say the base MC has all you need anyhow. At least that's what I read and what player was saying on his thread. Greenleaf states that there is no need to use the supplements at all, but they still sell them. Confusing company.

Jan.29

Hello everyone!! Happy Tuesday! Another quick update today as things are just moving along.

The autos are all doing well except for my problem child who is still a bit sad looking but still growing steady! Pushing out more pistils and getting bigger she’s not giving up and neither am I! She will come back I’m sure of it. The budlets on PEa2 are getting bigger and starting to really take shape. Both Crystal Candy’s are frosting up nicely and have a skunky vanilla scent to them.

The critical girls are really stretching upwards and looking fantastic! They have stretched about 3” so far and still have lots left I’m sure! The canopy is staying nice and even and is going to need a good defoliation in 9-10 days time once the stretch stops just to open them up. Here’s a shot from the side today!

After the calmag boost yesterday for PEa1 it seems to have helped since she hasn’t showed any further signs. The spots that were there have not gotten any worse so I’m hoping that’s the end of that! I really hope she bounces back soon cause she is a real looker other than the sad leaves!

Anywhoooo I wish you all a great night and Stay Medicated!

It’s nice that there is a group of us running this same lineup. Should be able to get some good results across the board and bounce information back and forth between us as we adapt it!

I’m excited for a more simple regimen that’s for sure

Seem like a heck of a lot to add even in flower! The Terpinator is 0-0-4 which seems more manageable.

Autos look good even if PEa1 is sad. As long as the flowers look good and the spots don't spread it should be fine. Criticals look terrific and I can see still see through them ;).

One thing if I may...your apical on PEa2 LST is taller than everything else which is what has kept your lowers small. Next time try to get that down and wrap it around the pot if you run out of room at the edge.

Absolutely, but the other thing about the Sweet Candy is it's NPK of 0-0-16. Is the plant really looking for that much Potassium during veg?

This is true but it’s confusing from the company when they say to run from Early Veg through to harvest..... testing is in order lol!

Actually on PEa2 I did have her tied down..... She got to strong and pulled her ties out in 2 spots. I forgot to tie them back down and just left them off. I suppose I could give her a slight bend over and tying again to even the canopy. Maybe I’ll do that today!

Thanks Shed

We look out for each other here! More eyes, more brains, more trichomes :).
420%!

Look what showed up in the mail this morning! I'm on board :).
Ooh wee fun times!

Interesting comparison Dutch!

It's interesting tat quadlining allowed those autos to grow a little bigger than their lst sisters. It's gonna be an awesome finish:popcorn: The Criticals look amazing as well.
Thanks hidden! I really enjoy the qaudline approach and I will be using it again for sure!

I think once you start using it, and see the results, plus the simplicity, and the cost, and the fact the earth is round, you will probably be happy overall.
I’m excited to start running it and trying it out!

Sorry to jump off topic a bit, but I've just been starting to look into silica and was wondering if I could pick your brain with a few questions?
Pick away my friend!

Pick everyone's brains! It's why we're all here :).
Indubitably!
