Highya Dutchie,

Such a beautiful job with the 4X4 quads. Mesmerizing! Cheers
Thanks Bode! I sometimes just open the tent and stare at these lovely ladies for a while haha! Hope your well pal

Nice work Dutchy!
Such a uniform garden. Should be proud.
Cheers Low! Proud I am indeed. Lots of work but hoping it pays off with my crop in the end!

Update

Nov.12

What’s up everyone and happy Tuesday! Got a good update today with some things to go over so without delay let’s dive right in!

My IHG group 4 phenos are growing crazy fast and strong with all of them pushing out node 4-5 already! I’ll begin quadline training these girls probably on the weekend if they keep growing like this! Here they are this evening.

Now I mentioned the other day that I found a source for CO2 and added it into my tent on Saturday morning. I wasn’t sure how quickly I would notice an improvement if much at all... Well since then I’ve noticed increased vigour with some extra happy ladies and an increased growth. I had been doing my research and found out some benefits of adding CO2 into the grow tent/room!

First and for most is when introduced correctly it can increase plant growth by up to 20-30% and have an impact on final yields with as much as a 15% increase! Now there is a sweet spot and some things that need to be kept in mind when wanting to add CO2 into your grow.
-Is your environment tuned in with healthy plants?
-Does your lighting provide enough PAR to push your plants into “overdrive”?
-Do you have your nutrients dialled in with accurate feedings?

If you’ve got all these covered then move forward and add in some CO2! Keep in mind that CO2 is heavier than oxygen and should be placed in a position where it will “fall” or “rain” onto your plants. I’ve got my outlet placed above/behind my oscillating fan which takes it and spreads it above all my ladies who are soaking it up and processing it!

What CO2 does is helps unlock the plants inner potential to utilize all available nutrients, extra strong lighting, and higher temps in the grow room. The idea of increasing CO2 levels in your grow acts as a catalyst for growth using its own internal biological processes to increase its output and growth. The stomata take in the CO2 and release water vapour when open. When increasing CO2 levels, the stomata don’t open as much due to the added CO2 producing less water vapour. This creates a stronger and more resistant plant structure.

The garden has responded quickly to the added CO2 and I’m looking forward to continuing this and seeing the results. I will touch base on this again when this flowering round is done and I’m able to see it through an extended period of time. Let’s have a look at the ladies today and see what I’m talking about!

Alrighty I know it’s been a long one and I’m glad you made it through with me! I wouldn’t drag you along this far and not have a treat for you so enjoy some rosin pictures and stay medicated!

Gotta love it haha! Hope you had a good day at least brother!
Thanks bro! I did have a good day! Left my tools in my job box, it’s only been 3 months since I’ve been back on the same job site as my box.... been jumping around from this job and that job. Now I just got the phone call, I need to pick up my tools tomorrow morning, and head off to a different job site. Lol sometimes it sucks, being good at my job!

Great update! Plants are looking great bro! :yahoo:

Nice update Dutch plants are very happy and healthy. Nice addition with the C02 I've always kinda wondered about it myself and have looked up those bottles you are using. Are you supposed to run a sealed room for C02 to work properly? If you have your exhaust running at all times does it just suck the C02 right out of the tent? You are right in saying you have to have everything else dialed in before adding it and you certainly seem to have everything worked out. Keep up the great work!

Impressive!! Im in. I want to learn how to mainline one day. It freaks me out to cut a perfectly healthy plant, lol.
You're in the right place! If ol' Dutchie can teach my stubborn ass, he can surely guide you through it.

Is it a CO2 tank or something that makes CO2 from other elements? Do you have a meter? No one should run without a meter and shut-off switch, as CO2 will quietly kill you above certain levels. And like N said, a sealed room is a priority.

Anyone thinking of running CO2 in their tents needs to do careful research before investing in it. I'm sure you did, but I'm adding a disclaimer so we don't lose anyone thinking they just need a tank, some fans, and good lights.

Hey Deketx welcome aboard pal! Your in the right place to pick up on some training info! I’m just about to start another set of quads so your just in time. Don’t be scared when it comes to cutting your plants it can benefit you and your harvests in the end!
Turning one too into multiples only means bigger plants!

Thanks N420! A sealed environment is critical when keeping “HIGH” levels of CO2 which would be considered in the 1200-1500PPM range but you still need to cycle exhaust and intakes for air exchange.
The setup I’m using and trying out is only introducing mid range CO2 levels around the 700-900PPM range. This is an experiment to see how it can possibly benefit my garden for my possible future expansion plans!

Haha thanks Preston! We’re all in this together

 That squish was superlative!!!
:yummy: I wish I could share! Pictures just don’t do it justice and the terps are deelish!

Thank you Shed! I appreciate that and yes a good idea for the warning! I wouldn’t ever want anyone getting hurt or injured! I’ll make a post below about the safety of CO2.
:high-five:
Now the setup I’m running is a natural production from elements. As mentioned to N above my setup is not a system with compressed tank, regulator, and monitor but a more natural approach to add extra beneficial CO2 to my flowering tent. After reading and researching this is just to see what benefits I may have when and if I do decide to do a CO2 injection with a sealed room in the future!

@nobodyhere has done CO2 with the tank/meter/sealed room, and as I recall (you should ask him to be certain), he turns off his exhaust when he runs the CO2.
My understanding is people run a air conditioner in place of the exhaust fan in sealed rooms to get the temps they want and I'm pretty sure the air conditioner would be bringing in the fresh air as well.

Update

What’s up! Just a quickie for this evening but wanted to show you how the garden is today.

The 4x4 is booming and I’m getting closer to the big flip. I may flip this weekend or wait until the next but it won’t be long now till there’s some pistils shooting and buds forming!

Currently feeding 4.75g/Gal of MegaCrop at 2L every 2 days I will be increasing to 5.10g/Gal next feeding as well as increasing my feeding times to every other day. My automated watering system will be feeding every day or every other day in flower.
My light is set at 305W currently and I will get it around 325-350W before the flip. I’m not going to be moving my light but instead allowing my plants to grow into it as they fill the second layer of trellis. I’m not sure how much stretch to expect from this group so I’m prepared for some heavy tucking and bending.

Then a quick look at the IHG babies today! Soon I won’t be able to call the babies anymore with how quickly they are growing under this @BudgetLED Full spec 120W kit! These are the strongest and fastest growing plants I’ve had and I’m looking forward to seeing them grow big!
They are all pushing on nodes 4 and 5 with some crazy stacking already!

Lastly I got excited the other day and ordered some more seeds.... lol! I ended up picking up a pack of:

Peanut Butter Breath by ThugPug (Regs)

I’m a PBB fan and love the terps from her so I’m excited to hunt this pack and find some keepers! My thoughts are to hopefully find a strong and winning MALE to use some pollen from for breeding and a killer female for those deep gasy terps!

Ok that’s it for today I’ll go and catch up and have have another update tomorrow!

To my understanding AC isn’t really needed when running CO2 since you actually want higher temps in the grow area. Typically 75-77° is what people aim for but when running high PPM of CO2 they recommend 80-85° To truly see the benefits.

Oh, it's wicked to see your tent at 93 in the middle of the summer with humidity on the windows and your plants happy as hell.

I went the co2 route to be able to use the amount of light I want in the summer when otherwise I would need a serious amount of AC to keep the tent under 82 or whatever that number is.

Public disclamer: This stuff can kill people and animals if not monitored. So get a canary. If that is not cool, they make co2 alarms too but those need power and batteries and are not as feng shui as a canary.

Well I'm hoping to start a new grow next week. Only thing holding me back is the temps in my grow space. It's 65-66 right now and it's frigid out, so I'm thinking around 70 deg when it's not cold as shit out. But I might plant anyways and deal with the low temps.
