Sorry I'm late! I was reading posts from your first page about you bending the stems. Is this super cropping? All this does is expose light to the middle of the stem? I notice you have a lot of growth in between your nodes, its beautiful! Is that from super cropping?
I want to try something like this because my space is limited and I want big bushy plants! Glad I stopped by, learning stuff all the time! I'll be around!
Hey ground glad you could make it by! Sorry for the dog drool on the couch but I’m sure you can find a place to squeeze in!
As for Training- I did a lot of LST and supercropping when my plants were smaller. This opens up the middle to more light and exposes the plant. The idea behind supercropping and LST is to keep your canopy flat, level and even so the light hits all the tops equally. Supercropping is the process of lightly pinching or squeezing the stem between your forefinger and thumb to weaken the stalk. After being weakened the stalk will be easily manipulated to a “bend” or “kink” which will Help boost lower growth on the plant as that stalk becomes regenerated. LST is a great resource for using ties and garden wire to hold your plants branches out and open to allow the most light penetration possible. They are both great methods of keeping your plants short if you are worried about height!
If growing autos the veg time is different for each plant but you will get less stretch from indica strains. If your growing photos you can opt for a shorter veg time to allow for less stretch one flipped to flower although some plants will just stretch like crazy !
If you need some more info don’t hesitate to ask! More than happy to lend a helping hand wherever I can !
