Dusted’s Traditional Hydroponic Grows

Last time my wife locked us out had get our son to drive across town in rush hour traffic to let us in. I made it worth his while!

It’s not as though you can turn the suns uv off, so I think we will survive. But if needed you could use it as an excuse to buy another light

True, it had just crossed my mind so I thought I’d ask. And now we’ve determined there seems to be different “generations” of budget boards.

I was surprised to see the switch mentioned somewhere. I had to go look at my light thinking I had missed it.

If mine had the switch I would probably just leave it on anyway.
Yep same here. It’s a good thing you guys mentioned this because I want the uva. Turns out my switch was off so I have them on now for both lights. Thanks guys! :thumb:

Day 3 post flip

Everything is progressing fairly well now. The only new damage I see are some brown spots at the leaf tips instead of the whole leaf. Still haven't done any more defoliation. Soon. The girls are going through lots of water now that they are getting bigger. RH 50%, 23 C day, 19.5 C night

When Oldsmokey mentioned brown roots and spots on leaves I started to wonder about my problems. I have had stem rot in the past but never root rot. The initial pH issues and too high a nutrient temperature (23 C) may have allowed a pathogen to establish. Another contributing factor is the increased soluble carbon I have been feeding them. 2.5 mL of 40 % citric acid daily plus 2.5 mL of kelp suspension may have allowed the bacteria to deplete oxygen levels. What makes this even more likely is that only two plants show any damaged leaves which continues unabated. The other two haven’t lost a single leaf. I don’t want to pull the pots to look since the roots will be wrapped around tubing and growing down the drain lines. I have turned down the chiller again, to 19 C and increased the nutrient flow through the pots to get more oxygen to the roots. No more added carbon either. Here’s hoping they make it, but they are hardy.
