Congratulations on getting the kit, You're going to love it. I actually just picked up a quart of Trans, GE, and Tea myself. I also bought extra packs of roots, first run, and recharge so I can recycle my soil for the second run.
Here is the info for recycling the soil:
Recycling Soil
"After your first grow
After the first crop is harvested, put the soil (yes, including the roots), along with 20-30lbs of earthworm castings, and
a new bag of First Runback into the barrel to cook for at least a month.
After at least 30 days of 'cooking', use as normally directed, including use of
Recharge during early bloom per the directions.
Please reduce the frequency of foliar sprays to every 10 days to 2 weeks on Second Run soil.
After your second grow:
After the second crop is harvested, we take that same used soil and this time we add a bag of
3rd Run Amendment, and perhaps some healthy leaf scraps and a light dusting of
Roots! Let this cook for a month and then use as normally directed. Please note: a 3rd run "recharge" is not needed nor is it recommended. Reduce use of foliar sprays to every 2 weeks for the 3rd. Run.
After your third grow:
We do not use soil for a 5th run, so in our garden this "fourth" run is the finale. Salt loving hydro strains like this soil, as it has the highest organic content and the highest soil energy (ERGS) of all four runs. Sensitive, light feeders.....not so much.
After the 3rd crop has been harvested from the soil, add 25% fresh, unused Promix or Sunshine#4, along with just a few leaves and a light dusting of roots and re-cook. As with 3rd run soil, there is no re-charge product for this run.
Others recycle past 6 runs and do so with good success - we suggest seeking them out and seeing if their methods work in your garden.
420magazine.com is a great place to start!
In our garden, we tend to get our best results during the 3rd run of soil."
