Duggan Does Purple Envy, Star Pupil & Black Cherry Punch With Doc's Gear!

I should add ....that its good to see some water ooze out of some lower holes ...tells you the pot edges are getting drenched good too..and not just in the middle. Air pots and rootbuilder pots work by the root ends reaching the holes...where they die off by air pruning forcing multiple other root hairs to grow off of that one that just died.....get it.
Whenever i dismantle my big rootbuilders ...the root system is very advanced fine hair structure...completely throughout the whole pot!!

Mornin to ya Bilbo!
Ok..with watering air pots or my 'rootbuilders'....or any pots like them with holes everywhere.Take a roll of duct tape and wrap it around the very top set of holes...blocking them off. This helps as the water will start to get absorbed by the soil and not just run out all over the place! Understand bud!....Good question sir....enjoy your day!
One trick I have found with Air pots is to make sure the holes are facing inwards. The actual air pot video tells you to put them facing outwards but all the water goes shooting out if you do that. But if you turn them inwards (basically flip that siding over) and its virtually no water leakage. I grow tomatoes in them outdoors.

Yeah I saw that on the video and when I finished the outdoor mater grow, I opened it up and checked out the roots. Looked very much like they did on the when they were facing outwards. I didn't see much if any difference. Could be an interesting experiment for someone growing a couple plants in them. Grow one with the holes inwards and one with the holes outwards and see if there is any difference.

Morning to ya Duggan :ciao:

Everyone in the grow space is looking lush! Hard to distinguish one from the other they’re such prolific
growers!

So I’ve been wondering, do you, or have you, ever posted details or pics on the earlier stages of the LST that you do? Maybe in an old journal somewhere? Something a relative newbie could study...?:nomo::smokin2:

Thanks D - I’ve don a little, with a little success (but only a little). I’m a month or two away from the next LST adventure so just looking around at different approaches. I’ve got the pipe cleaner technique going pretty well, more curious about the timing choices of when people train and top etc so thought if you had more detailed pics of that in a previous journal I could go check that out.

I tend to learn well by a kind of osmosis. I just look at as many different and impressive techniques as I can, study them, and then follow my instinct (but with all of that absorbed info and imagery in the background).

And at the moment my ‘word brain’ isn’t very good, so it’s words with accompanying pictures I’m after ;)

So anything you got would be great.

And if anyone else remembers D posting LST pics, please share! Or any other good LST pictorials.

:Namaste:

Hello gang,..hope ya'l had a groovin day, without too much stress...Amy, went back and had a look thru a few of my past journals , but failed to locate the pics of specific training methods. More on this later , OK.
Amy, and gang, was just going thru some old personal 'stuff', a bit ago , and found three pics from about 1987-88. I've saved them over the yrs. cuz back then it was hard to get them developed. They turned out good , i guess, but wanted to show just how long pipe cleaners have been working for me,..what a hoot,..you can see it , the way i was training that unknown Sativa to grow sideways. Noticed it , and had a chuckle. She was growing under a 400w CMH,..in a five gal. pail, with promix and lots of other stuff,..had absolutely , NO idea what i was doing...LMAO.. I believe that was the start of the 'soiless' era for me. Anyhow , wont bore any longer. Have a great evening gang...:circle-of-love:

Would seem very weird to get pics developed at your local pharmacy or something lol, thanks for sharing

Damn Duggs, looks like you’ve been growing kickass cannabis for a long time... nice pics man!:passitleft:

I was thinking the exact same thing!

Thanks Doogs! Gee I’m glad I may have sparked that little trip down memory lane you shared with us - priceless! One of my recent colas looked like that sideways one  - best to stop tying down before they finish stretch eh?

Thanks for looking - don’t worry too much about it. I’ll do more hunting myself. Then it’s really just do>watch>learn>repeat, isn’t it!

:Namaste:

Hey DL , waddaya doin......just starting the 'long weekend', extra long ,..took Tues. off as a holiday...:slide:
No boys, Mare's comin over later.....:reading420magazine: Gang , top of the day to ya'l,...hope everyone's day grooved , with no stress.:passitleft:
Just gave the four , their first GE Drench, five gal's. each pot w/Tea. Did some pruning on the front two. (Star Pupil and Purple Envy). Grooming the SP for one main cola. She looks like a little palm tree. Doubt she will yield much , but should turn out pretty. The PE is making up for any yield loss from the lil SP, so, i'm ok with that. Over the next few days there will be a lot of growing going on,..they will , no doubt love the GE.
Let the good times roll.......:thumb:....Enjoy the night gang!

sent from my DeLorean...in the future!:ganjamon:
