Duggan Does Lilly & Laniakea With DBHBB: One Kit, Two Pots, Four Plants

Just stopping to wish you a wonderful day with your family. :circle-of-love: They know nothing about your presence here, do they? That's so odd that we have this completely other world we play in and have to keep separate from our physical world.

Enjoy.

The KK you have going now looks really nice...too bad about the other one....what no yield, no taste, what didn't you like about it bud.
All four of mine turned out to be fire! Just love the strain.....kicks my ass....gently...:tokin:
Maybe this one will be better cuz of the diff. soil , etc.....this one should have your confidence back up there bud....she looks quite good!:thumb:

Yesterday I was out of town. I started this around eight this morning and am finally getting back to it.

I actually got just a little north of 4oz of good buds and some trash. The buds just stopped filling out about two weeks early. They were firm and smoked well. Like you said, it is a kick ass high. I have two more, one in vegge and one is a seedling. It is a keeper strain for sure.

Old habits and not being all that fond of plastic pots for flowering, I bought another barrel and have a new mix cooking now.

The choices I have for it are MK Ultra, Girl Scout Cookies, Scott's OG, another KK and a nice bag seed out of Southern Ca. I am tempted to use the GSC but the yields are supposed to be on the low side. So, probably a smaller pot for her.

The bag seed plant grows large and is good smoke. OTOH I have not grown out a MKU yet. I would go with the MK Ultra if you think I can fill a barrel with one plant. From looking at the four plant grow you did I think I could get a reasonably large canape going with one plant. I welcome your thoughts and will probably go with what is suggested here.

I've loved every Scott's O.G. I've grown. I have flowered 4 different fem seeds and they have all been powerful lemon OG kush funk. MK ultra is really good but Scott's is on another level.:Namaste:

flowerfarmer,

The Scott's is my third. I do like it. I have not tried to spread one out very much though. If you have tried, how did it go?

Something was keeping me from having the Scott's high on the list. After your post came in, I went back out to the grow room and took another look at her. Rather than top her I had tied the top over for a while and then trained it back alongside it's self until it was no longer the leading tip. The result is a plant with six tops and a second tier about 3 or 4 inches below them with another six tops. They are all in about a 16 inch circle. It is just too tall to train out far enough to fill out very wide; it is already 40 inches tall. I will probably up pot it into a 15 gallon pot.

With one barrel and two 15 gallon pots I can keep them mostly not touching in flower. With two barrels I can have one in flower with a few two or three week gaps.

Best

A very good morning to ya canyon....wow what a great list of strains your thinking about! I have to tell ya, it took me about two seconds to have an answer to your quiry....go with the MK-Ultra to fill a big pot for a big yield of very high quality smoke! I really like this KK , so my reasoning for doing the MK is purely out of greed cuz the yield with it is very high. I grew it out about 5-6 times and one POTM with it . So if i was to put your strain choices in order of preference ,...i would say , in this order i would do...MK-Ultra , KK, GSC then the rest!
I prefer the KK over the MK but the yield and quality can't be ignored with the MK-Ultra! It's just a very , very good solid strain! Check out one of my MK _ultra journals and have a look at them. Anyhow , have fun deciding , cheers and have an awesome day bud!

Mornin FF, where to find info on Scott's bud....would like to know more about it. Cheers FF and have great day my brotha!

Duggs of course you deserve it. I remember when I joined this forum you were one of the first five people to really make me feel at home. You made sure to come back around and visit and check up on me. Nowadays I see you do that for so many people. And hash making protocols, brix advice, and general humor and support. You are the real deal.
Mornin Shiggs...ya , i remember you when you joined.....you were like a sponge around here and seemed to fit right in with our group! Now look at ya...people look to you for tips , advise etc.... and for good reason Shiggs...you are the real deal and continue to show it day after day here on the Mag. Glad your here for us all bud. have an awesome day my brotha!

Training them like that is so rewarding eh....you can basically manipulate them to suit your space and have fun along the way! I used to swear by training like that over topping but both methods have their purpose. have a great day "C" Oh ya...BTW, today is transplant day so i'l be back later with that fun and pics....cheers everyone and sure hope your all enjoying a beautiful Sunday!:circle-of-love:

Up-potting day! :yahoo:
Stand back! :MoreNutes:

Scott's OG is triangle kush crossed with a male called rare dankness #1 developed by crossing chem x ghost OG and triangle kush with some backcrossing. I'm sure you can find a lot of detail through Google in old forums and such. I've not grown seeds that have been this consistent in producing absolute dank!

P.s. she does grow straight up and not wide.

MK Ultra it is then. I skimmed the KK grow of yours that is in your signature when I started posting on your threads. It may be time to take another look.

The MKU is nice and healthy. And, it is a good size to take the top out of. I am about two weeks into cooking what is in the new barrel. I have some mix left over that I will probably cut with a bag of FF and some odds and ends for enough to up pot the GSC and Scott's.

Today is our anniversary (48). We did a Trip to the second largest city in NM, (100,000 maybe) for a show and dinner Thursday. Today is BBQ with two friends here. So, I will probably do some up potting tomorrow. If you like I will post pictures of the Scott's then.

I've got one going now, about 2-3 weeks from harvest. Smells great and very frosty.. My buds are a bit small but that's my fault. But they are very solid. Haven't tried it yet..
How long did yours flower, FF?

Howdy Duggan? How are things with you and the girls today[/QUOTE

Hey Canna, ya , things are good ...now! Today was very busy...just like yesterday. Wow, the weekend is gone! Did some transplanting and disposing of the old third run soil . My neighbor (also a client...) was glad to get the old soil. :) Anyhow my hot bath awaits! Ah, i can't wait girl! :thumb::Love: Have an awesome night Canna.:high-five:

Up-potting day! :yahoo:
Stand back! :MoreNutes:[/QUOTE Ya , now i'm bagged .... A few pics here Major. Pretty sad lookin plants eh! They just hate this part...lots of stress the last little while with these. Oh well, we shall see eh! Have a great night my friend! :Namaste:

Yes i would like to see a pic of your scotts. Thanks Canyon...and congrats to you....:passitleft::theband::woohoo::yahoo: Have an awesome night Canyon!!:bravo::high-five:

A few pics gang...of the play in the dirt session. Some of you have seen all this before , so ...it's boring OK!
This is how i deal with these big pots...
Transplanting_lanny_s_and_lilly_s_001.jpg
Getting ready to empty them and deal with all the old soil (third run DBHBB) Tarp laid out etc.
Transplanting_lanny_s_and_lilly_s_002.jpg
Transplanting_lanny_s_and_lilly_s_003.jpg
showing the bag of ProMix i'l "cut" the very rich third run re-cooked soil with and my trusty bag of "roots" for dusting the holes and the roots before they go in the holes.
Transplanting_lanny_s_and_lilly_s_004.jpg
my homemade "beer bottle caps" for the large trays, beside one of the 5 caster H.D. Plant Trollies.
Transplanting_lanny_s_and_lilly_s_005.jpg
Transplanting_lanny_s_and_lilly_s_006.jpg
cutting off a couple tie wraps to open up the "rootbuider" pot . Have to empty them out, clean off the used landscaping cloth at the bottom,...then re-due the tie wraps and refill pots.
Transplanting_lanny_s_and_lilly_s_007.jpg
empty pot with landscaping cloth removed from bottom screen.
Transplanting_lanny_s_and_lilly_s_008.jpg

Transplanting_lanny_s_and_lilly_s_010.jpg
Transplanting_lanny_s_and_lilly_s_011.jpg
Getting ready to fill, cleaning of the cloth , tie wraps etc...
Transplanting_lanny_s_and_lilly_s_014.jpg
Transplanting_lanny_s_and_lilly_s_013.jpg
this is the other third run DBHBB that i will use. It's been cooking for about two months now and has had leaves , old stems and roots added along the "cooking" process. it's been amended three times including EWCings all three times too, so it needs to be cut. The previous KK didn't like this in the last 1/3 of bloom, so i'l cut this with a big bag of straight PM.
Transplanting_lanny_s_and_lilly_s_015.jpg
Transplanting_lanny_s_and_lilly_s_016.jpg

Filling up a pot , pausing to make sure the cloth covers the whole bottom screen. (1/2 ")
Transplanting_lanny_s_and_lilly_s_017.jpg
Transplanting_lanny_s_and_lilly_s_018.jpg
so, now both pots are full and i've got this much left over (about a big bag's worth of soil..:blunt:) just like there aught-ta be eh!
Transplanting_lanny_s_and_lilly_s_021.jpg
Transplanting_lanny_s_and_lilly_s_019.jpg
How to use the pots to make the transplanting holes...that way they're perfect and the plants just slide right in. Roots and holes were dusted with "roots" before going in them.
Transplanting_lanny_s_and_lilly_s_022.jpg
Transplanting_lanny_s_and_lilly_s_023.jpg
F...k sakes eh....shovel caught the tarp...lil hole...whoops.
Transplanting_lanny_s_and_lilly_s_024.jpg
well, here they are gang...very sad ,pissed and stressed lil plants.:tokin: Goodnight gang....i'm havin a hot bath with a glass of wine...cheers everyone!:Namaste::circle-of-love:Oh ya...the Lilly's are at the back and the Lanny's are up front...cuz they're very special!

Sweet Duggan,
Love the bottle caps. :)
I guess those come in handy as a place for you to feed from below huh?
How tall are the edges of the "water catchers"?

I love your pots Duggan! Congratulations on your future MOTM. It's your time!

Here's the last Scott's OG I grew. It will spread out but you have to force it during the stretch, same as most OG types. This is on day 54 but I let her go 71 days.

hey Stage, glad ya like em bud....ya , made them from sheet aluminum . The edges come up two inches , but i don't feed from the bottom . They , the big pots always get from 3-6 gal's at one time to really soak them good. These types of pots grow root systems that are more fibrous and very fine...cuz of all the air pruning that goes on during veg. When i see a root hair protruding out of one of the holes, i know things are good cuz it will die there causing other lil root hairs to grow out from it. Rather than in a reg. pot that has more of a coil system with main feeder roots circling the pot . Cheers bud!:high-five:
