As soon as i get home harvesting will begin. I will be very lucky they are not all fallen over...no pics , they are NOT picture worthy ...they look a mess all lazy looking with week legs ...BAHHH! Was sitting around late last night with my youngest watching some TV and my filter is definitely in need of replacement...very noticeable...stinky , very stinky. Had to open all the main floor windows and turn on a few fans to spread it around some...yikes. But get this ,..this morning after the lights have been out since 4 ,...NO smell whatso ever. it's like they stop smelling as soon as the lights go off...dunno , very strange, as i've noticed this before. This is a good thing , cuz i still see the boys one more time this week,..Wed. night for supper, then i'm clear with no one in the house until i get back , well, except for Mare coming over to check stuff and my friend to keep an eye on the house. These BBT's are ripe...at least 75 % is ready , the other 25 can have this week , that's it. Cheers gang, and have an awesome day everyone!:circle-of-love:

Top of the mornin to ya Yeti....27.5 is a good bet, for sure. Like i said a while back , i will be very satisfied with anything over 20. Yes , my Can#33 filter has lasted about 5 yrs...absolutely incredible but needs to be replaced. Last two grows it has started to fail to keep up late in bloom. Time for a new one,..another Can#33 of course! A 200 dollars well spent for sure. Sometime after the DC's. get in there, i'l do the deed. Thanks for askin Yeti. You have a great day as well Duggs. I have been trying to explain to some one what your thought process is for why you should put plants into a dark period before chop. They are skeptical without proof but I was wondering if you could explain your thought process and what got you to think that way. :thanks:

20 Z's is a decent haul. If only we could all get an ounce per gallon of soil :laughtwo: We would be styling!

Yes, no probs Yeti , can do! For a long time i wondered about why growers were putting their girls in the dark for 24-48 hrs. before chop and i had heard it was to increase resin on the buds and colas. I started testing this theory and continued to test over many crops , over a few yrs. I found that the resin did NOT increase in quantity at all but harvesting the plants that way had another benefit i was unaware of. If you have ever seen those time laps films with high speed film during a typical 24 hr. photoperiod you can clearly see the rise and fall of the leaves, quite a drastic difference in attitude and posture. The answer is/was simple...the plant literally 'dumps all it's fluids and nutrients back into the soil until the plant needs it again for 'photosynthesis' to take place when the lights come back on. After looking into this some more it made total sense to me , to continue doing this 'harvest in the dark' method...not to get more resin , but to harvest before the plant can call back all it's fluids for the day. This method made a lot of sense to me and i've been harvesting this way for many years now and will continue to do so. makes 100% sense to me...:)Cheers bud!:Namaste:

Just a word for any nay sayers out there...Resin glands take time to form and mature...way more time than 24-48 hrs. got it! All ya gotta do is look at how long we wait for the gland heads to turn milky (peak harvest time) from clear...nuff said!

I know what you mean, I am about to cut down my Blueberry tonight and my Blue Kush and Durban Poison will be ready in a couple days. Certainly not the prettiest time in the life of the girls.
