I'm not seeing a green button next to your name to know that you are online.....I hate to say this but as a 33 year IT person who has rolled out thousands of software updates during my career, this one has been incredibly underwhelming.....I sure don't like to be harsh or criticize, but geez......can you say, I don't want to spend any $$ on doing the right thing......?

I totally get that you hate the new site ! And I feel for you, I really do. There are some good reasons for some of those things you mentioned and some of them are getting resolved already. One of the reasons for the speed issues loading pics in the threads is because the gallery migration is still completing. It is a huge database. Once it’s compketed they expect the whole site to be much faster.

And the process of uploading through the gallery is part of the sites security - it’s only through that process that pics get stripped of identifying data and get the 420logo added. This was the case even before - the direct upload in the app wasn’t how the site mods wanted images to be uploaded, was meant to be through gallery. It’s been the only way to do it on a pc.

Meanwhile heaps of things are getting fixed up - please don’t take off!! There was a time when you were new to the site and happy to learn it then. I know it sucks when something that worked for you gets changed and feels worse (can happen with all software). But you’re a real treasure round here, :thumb: as a presence and a grower.

Over time they’ll find a new app developer and things will get more fun again. If you need help finding stuff, and nearly everyone has let me tell you, there’s a thread - I’ll come back and link to it.

Where is the transparency and communication....where is the online user manual to document the changes in the system....people don't take change in stride.....I have witnessed corporate cultures that were forever changed for the negative depending on how they rolled out their new technology.....one mistake cost them billions....whatever....you need to think this shit though and plan more if you want to make a difference and change the world.... it starts with the very basics.....all your good work can disappear with one wrong business decision.....

Yes...i got them uploaded...took way too long and was not easy. Getting used to this new sight is NOT fun and for the record i cant stand it.....at all! Only good thing ....for me are the members.....all else stinks!
Ya..smells...lots of nice sweet smells from the four! Colas are forming nicely and with about 5 weeks left...i suspect a very good yield too!

I wanna take a min. And thank everyone who has tried to help me navigate this new sight.....Chris....Ween.....Neiko...SS...Amy...and a few others too. As you all know by now i dont like this new format and am only staying here because of my gang and the members i have gotten to know and respect over the yrs.
We all have many questions and im sure there are a lot of very frustrated members .
Can someone please tell me why Ween was able to post my pics on MY thread before i had a chance to???????This is wrong.....he shouldnt have been able to do that......how was that possible.....what if i didnt want certain pics on there....not right.....they have to fix that.....and many other things.Why is my backround page on my phone black?Shouldnt it be green?How do i use the emogies....where are they when i wanna post a response...i dont see them....(sad face emogie)

Hey Duggan. Sorry about posting your pics bud, guessing your not mad at me, just that I had the ability to post them. When you click on the camera icon, there are 3 options, your media, others media and others folders. I think your gripe about others posting your pics makes perfect sense.

If one of the old emoji's is available, you can also type the code in, gonna try a few. :passitleft::theband::high-five::rofl:
 
Yes sir, but which browser on your phone?

If it is Chrome, it should be just as I told you as that is what I use.

If Safari you may want to ask Amy Gardener or Sweetsue as they use apple products

The smiley is in the gray bar where the options for Bold, letter colors, insert photo and so on.

EDIT: I guess I should note that the site recommends Chrome.
