Duggan Does Black Cherry Punch & Star Pupil With Doc's Gear!

While I don't agree completely with Doc on this, I totally agree that from a return on investment point....RH is the way to go. Much cheaper to improve your environment than to buy a top of the line LED. Hmmm 100 bucks for a decent humidifier or 1600 bucks for a top shelf light. But I firmly believe that for top notch yields....your lights are the most important factor. But like I said above, at a certain point the constraint/limiting factor will shift and the environment will now be your issue for maximizing yield.

We're saying the same thing. Of course we want the massive lights. But they won't do much if the environment is wrong.

I always surprised how people still don't quite grasp that and they start a grow knowing the rH is going to be super low, or the night temps are going to be 62....and then they act puzzled when things don't work.

On the other hand, if the environment is right, it's really hard to majorly screw up.

Very true! Don't forget once you surpass the u mol threshold more light does no good without extra co2. It's like opting for a 1000w HID over a 600w. Yield won't change much cause past a certain point the plant can't use the light supplied, and all your adding is heat. But put the 1000 on a mover with ideal conditions and you can boost yield another 20 30 %

Great morning to everyone! Wow , it's pretty cool having Doc around eh gang!! This conversation around lighting and environment is very , very informative. simply put , we all try our best to make the enviro in our grow spaces as close to optimum as we can . Sometimes money is the limiting factor...sometimes it's lack of space , and sometimes it's ignorance. Fortunately Doc and our gang sees to it that 'ignorance' has no place here,..there is simply too much great info floating around to help us all. Thank you all so much for contributing your thoughts , ideas and experiences.
OK,..today is a big day in "Duggans Dungeon". The four girls get transplanted today into the 26ers. I will take lots of pics showing just how i work with my homemade 'Rootbuilder' pots and all this soil in just the two pots. Hope to have ya's all along for the fun! cheers gang! Have a great day!....Gotta go fill that little Huey again...Bahhh!

Just bought basically same Huey as the one posted earlier in this journal and wow what a difference it makes. Mine holds 3.5gallons roughly and good for up to 2300or 2600sq ft mine has 9 speeds.it was 219.00 at crappy tire I can now have my heaters going and the humidifier will still overpower the rh drop and keep rh between 55-60 but keep my heat at 78-79 now instead of 75ish. Just what I need

Scotia,..does that price include taxes? Cuz the other one at a BBS here Low.....s is 179 before taxes and it holds 6 gal's.

That was tax included was on sale though. It was all I could find anywhere here. So far working darn good.i wanted bigger one but didn't want to wait for it. I needed my heat up few degrees and knew the small huey I got would keep rh perfect when I turned on heater

Jax Rider...Great day to ya ...sir? I know a dog named Jax..are you affiliated..:)
Anyhow , great to have you along . Welcome to my journal and this neighborhood. You have found a very special forum ,..this is the best weed forum on the web, by far! The growers here are all passionate about what we do and are very real , caring people. i know , cuz i've met a bunch of them. Most of us are growing in some type of soil and among them , most are using Doc Bud's gear , or 'Kit' as we like to call it. A very reliable , low cost system that produces excellent High Brix cannabis every time, no problem. Don't hesitate to ask all the questions ya want , OK...one of us will help ...or all of us..:)
Take stroll around this neighborhood and do some reading in some of the other High Brix journals , like Doc's Q and A thread or especially his tutorial thread him and Scotia have on the go right now. A great thread to follow , to learn what we're all doing. Anyhow , have some pics and an update to get to so , a big warm welcome to ya Jax Rider....cool name .

Ok gang...here goes with all these pics. Just got done and all cleaned up. The girls don't look their best , obviously cuz i woke them up to get this transplanting done. Gonna have a hot bath with a glass of wine shortly. Enjoy gang!

The homemade 'Rootbuilders and how they come together/apart. OK , these pots come as a sheet and are rolled into a pot , then a pre-made factory bottom is installed. What i did was use two sheets (each one is a 7 gal. pot) i just overlapped them to size which turned out to be 26 gals. A different bottom was created using 1/2 x 1/2 galvanized chicken wire and landscaping cloth. They are then placed on a homemade 'beer cap' style aluminum trays, then set upon a 5 caster HD plant trollie.
