Morning Sue, thanks for the kind words and comfy vibes. The Z's are on track and growing as they should. Very fun to grow this strain....easy as pie to grow and they really respond well to LST'ing and SCing. I'l let them grow for another 10 days or so ,then flip with 11/13 this time. Gonna pass on 12/12 and go right to 11/13. Have a great day Sue!

Looking forward to your flip to 11/13. The Zamal-H was on my short list from Ace. I really like the look of it. Schaweet.
:goof:

Mornin keltic....ya me too...I just ordered three more from Ace last night! I wanted to get more just in case they run out , which I suspect they will soon, as a few other seed places are out of stock with them now.I've done a fair amount of research on them and that too is why I got more comin. Best of both worlds with these ....so they say! 50/50 . Cheers kelticBlue.

Evening all my brothas ....and any stragglers that lurk about! Wanted to show a couple benefits to SC'ing.
One thing i really like to see is just how much more robust the area just below the "pinch" is. Growth hormones flood the injured site and begin to heal it, repair it , and make much stronger (like bull). Doing this means that all surrounding branches start to take off eh!
These two Zamal's are all ready needing a good lower pruning....soon. They got Brix tonight , right on schedule for every Wed.
They look so happy in their big pots ,even more than the Desfrans ...stoked!:blunt:

Sleep well Gang! Gotta rest this wicked cold ....F... sakes.

Plenty of rest (yeah, like that ever happens until we're near death, eh?) and force fluids. Yes, that was said in strong but loving motherly tones. :battingeyelashes: I'm sorry to hear you're under the weather. Like you ever have time for that. Heal quickly Duggan. :hugs:

Oh SweetSue...im sick . Friggen head cold from hell i say! Gonna take tomorrow off....Thanks girl...sleep well, i prolly will....NyQuill is a wonderfull thing. My youngest has more hockey evals tomorrow night...what crappy timing for this! BAHhh

Rest up so you can keep up with your kids and grows. Have a good one...

Good day Gang! Just finished getting the Desfran old soil cooking . It will soon be ready to use as second run soil. I added 15 more pounds of castings(WW) and thanks to Doc for a speedy delivery with more supplies also added another batch of amendment with some "roots", Tea, a bit of Transplant and four gal's distilled (2 in each tote). It will be mixed up again in about a month ,then left untill needed ,which should be around XMas some time, depending on these three Zamal Hash plants. It's all good and what i'm doing here is as Doc.....rotating two batches of soil with the intent of only going to third run, then discarding it and starting over with another two batches. This system is working very well for me as it's cost effective and i always have another batch ready to use...lovin this method of re-amending and re-cooking over 3 batches...it just makes SOOO much sense for a small set up like mine. Just don't have the room for any more totes full of soil kicking around. It's also very easy to keep track of ,whats what, with only a few totes full of soil around the house.
Cheers Gang...gotta blow the shnoz again for the 100th time! BAHHH :circle-of-love:

Nice soil plan Duggan. You reminded me that I need more WW. I'll place that order now. Feel better Bud. :hugs:

Hoping you are feeling better, a least your green ladies show no sign of sickness even though their caretaker does! But I would gladly be sick rather than my precious green ladies! Get better soon Duggan!

Cheers Shiggy! Thanks brotha...feeling a little better every day. GF comin over tomorrow night so i wanna be near 100% ,if ya know what i mean.;) Busy weekend with some electrical work for her parents plus i've got my little guy's last of three ,hockey evals tomorrow afternoon, so ... Anyhow thanks for droppin by Shiggs...:high-five: Are you gonna start a journal?

Good evening ! Havin a Stella, ..chillin, cruisin the mag. Hope everyone's havin a stellar weekend or at least not a crappy one.
Very busy day today. Checked in on the Z's abit ago....i'm likin what i see. They are very into this second run soil. Last night they got a good lower pruning ,SC'd quite a few tops to help other lower ones catch up , sprayed with DeStress,....also gave 4 gal's each pot of 1/4 Trans, 5mls. Tea. Next time they get a Drench with G.E..

They're getting 4 gal's each time now at 6-7 day intervals.I can tell , just by how they slow right down as moisture gets used up rapidly during Veg. What's really nice about using some form of air-pot is the roots get so much O2 , even if overwatered.

Gray , got your memo about turning off the lights over my new cuttings. So, i did that , and came home tonight to find all four cuttings perked up and ready for action. It was almost funny to see them .Are you saying to leave them in the complete darkness untill roots form? They won't get any light at all in their location. Is it because roots don't like the light? and maybe don't form as easy when being blasted with all that light....anyhow cheers gang,...i'l get a few pics up in the next couple days showing their progress. Soon to flip!:thumb:

Good news on the cuts! :thumb:

No, not total darkness, just a lot less light than we're used to giving our plants. We don't want them to transpire very much and I didn't realize how important that was. Even a CFL close over them is more than they want. Mine are in the veg area, off to the side about three feet, out of any direct line from the lights, just getting reflected light.

Ok ...now that makes total sense Gray. Don't want them trying to grow faster than they have roots for. I'l have to change things up a little then cuz they're under 18/6 of two ,t-8's right now. I'l turn that down to 16/8 and reduce distance from the lamps. My temps and RH where they are is not the best (too dry and only 65-70 F.) I put some black plastic over the glass to limit what the roots see....dunno, seemed like the thing tado! Hey Gray...cheers my brotha....chillin.:Namaste:

My updates are so pale in comparison to just about everyone else's so try and stick with me will ya's. These Z.H.'s. are gonna be a real treat. Here's a few pics of this awesome , awesome easy strain to grow....absolutely loves this second run (enriched) soil . I'm following Doc's original directions ...only adding 1/4 Trans between Drenches. The health and appearance of these right now , have me feelin good about ordering another few beans.:blunt: I'm hoping these four cuts are gonna make it....now that would be cool....for me anyhow. I've only cloned a few times before ,so i'm not good at it , at all!
Cheers Gang! :circle-of-love:
