Duggan Does ACE's Neville's Haze X Panama & Their Zamedelica X Panama

If the links can not be seen in my journal, they are NO good to anyone. I'm not feeling very well right now ...Thanks for helping Ween...
mayswell get rid of the rest of em too.....wat a farce...

It would be one extra click for those wanting to see them. True, they would not be visible in all your posts, but folks would be able to easily find them.

I'll put something together later for your approval. I have to finish clearing the driveway before I can do so.

I’m with u Duggan, I won’t even start another journal to much b.s. and interferences from staff here. U turn around and your text disappears PUFF
gone with out explanation. The judge has spoken. put the muzzle on and shut up.
that’s about what I was told ( in a loving way ) of corse from Ted.
im sorry if I stepped on any toes but I get pissed when my text gets deleated or
moved.

This surly is not heaven Duggan but what Old Salt said it sounds like it would work For u if u want it too? Just don’t sweat the small shit OK it’s alright to b mad at them. just don’t stop trying. I have found u to b a standup guy and a real good teacher
to others your presence would sorely be missed and the banter as well. Catch u in the funny papers.

I agree with Duggan & all of the above. The logic of doing it for phone users is wrong. I solely use a phone. Being able to access as much content per page, to me, is the most important thing. I liked it when I could randomly pick a grow and be sent immediately there. Depending on connection, you don’t want to have to change pages...I had to look for Emilyas stuff. But as usual, she’s ahead of the curve. I hear ya, I’d be pissed too. But like they said, fire one up and spend half an hour moving shxt around, no biggie. Good day sir.

Come back to us Duggan. Your work isn’t lost just a few hoops to point people in right direction.Plus I want to see the next grow for those seeds I sent you.I personally didn’t see the big deal with people’s signatures as I a mobile user and never had any issue navigating site due to it either but whatever.

its not like they deleted your hard work being put into those journals. They are still active, and I warned people on other threads, with the link of teddys. One of them your active at. Things change, it’s up to us as individuals to adapt. If you really want to show teddy how upset you are. Tag him in here. Get over it Duggs.

It's difficult to realize how much stress and anxiety is floating around these days. Keep this in mind when dealing with adversity of any type: When everyone is freaked out----and we all are to one degree or another----reactions to small things might be out of proportion and then the reaction to the reaction will be out of proportion....and next thing you know you're thinking about murder over toilet paper....or signatures, or searched links....or.....

I really like the signatures. But I honestly haven't ever clicked on one.....I can't keep up with today's postings, let alone those of 10 years ago!

But I don't like them enough to fight. I suspect a reasoned, objective response to a change might just get more attention in this very stressful climate we find ourselves in.

Suggestions: put up a poll for members to vote on how much importance they place on signatures.

Allow members with more than 1000 posts to have more than 10 signature links.....

ETc.

Blessed are the merciful, for they will receive mercy. Blessed are the peacemakers.....

Hey @Duggan . Hope all is well buddy. I love how passionate you are brother. It inspires me to a certain degree.
I hope you stay on the site because im talking selfishly on wanting your guidance on my first Doc grow. But first, most importantly as a friend i hope you release this frustration and come back to us.:high-five:

Please forgive the delay, I am in the middle of packing up my house and the business and moving to a new location.
It hasn't been easy putting out fires and getting through our task lists, while remaining sane.

Members have been complaining for years about other members with extra long signatures, forcing them to scroll forever to get past their repeated posts. It can be very irritating, especially to those with slower connections and small phone screens. When we migrated to a new forum software a couple of years ago, we got overwhelmed by our massive SEO hit and in the rush and confusion had forgotten to assess signature limits. Then shortly after that my father died, which created more obstacles with just keeping this place afloat. Now that we are getting back into gear and tweaking this place to perfection, we finally got to this task on the list and began moving forward.

After we made the change to ten lines, we noticed that all past sigs would remain, until trying to update them. In a rush, I edited a few sigs and immediately got my head bitten off. So we posted this announcement publicly and then started editing some of the super long ones.

We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate members linking in their signatures to on-site journals, contests, new member links and tutorials. However many members have complained that long signatures make navigating the forums difficult on mobile devices, therefore we are limiting signatures to a maximum of 10 lines.

We are currently working through all member and sponsor signatures to reduce them to 10 lines, so please don't be offended if you see yours has been edited. To be specific, 10 lines includes text, links, emojis and/or line spaces.

If you wish to prioritize your own links, please feel free to re-edit your own signature.

Thank you for your understanding and support, we are truly grateful.

Looking back, I now see an even better way of doing this, by sending each member a pm asking them to do it, give everyone a week, then start making edits if they don't reply. This is how we shall proceed from now on, since this kind of thing wastes a lot of valuable time, energy and resources when misunderstood. Keep in mind, all of this is a lot of work for our tiny team, mainly Teddy handling the entire task all by himself. Remember, we are human just like you and working our asses off behind the scenes, to make this the best place possible for everyone. Thank you for your understanding and support, we are truly grateful. :Namaste:

A PM broadcast, marquee on every page, or bulk e-mail in advance would have been nice.

Most forum software store data in a database. Perhaps a query to bring up non-compliant signature blocks for Teddy would help. Sorting the non-compliant signature blocks by the last time the member posted to the forum would have the greatest immediate impact.

My biggest complaint is some members photo-bombing multiple threads every day or two.

Agreed, the message was only to like .420th of the member base though, so most would find it useless and some might even complain about being bothered by it and report us for spamming. Could have included it in the website updates, but most people are glued to the journals. Woulda, coulda, shoulda, just grateful we now have a solution.

@Marc Ocean sounds logical, is that something you can handle?

This is one of many reasons why we limited the photos to ten per post.

So now instead people will have 10 different posts instead of just one long one.

Folks always adapt to the situation, and find ways to fit their wants in it. I'm pretty sure I've done a few things with the journals the admins didn't foresee.
