DrZiggy's 1st Journal Featuring High Brix - LEDs & Cool Strains

Mornin Ziggs....i remember reading this a long time ago. "Sativas are the true smoking MJ, Indica's are ,should be just for Hash" Cheers eh! With that being said....hash from Sativas is WOW!

This brings up something interesting. I've been reading a lot about the difference between sativa and indica. In terms of what does what.

The lab I'm about to test some of my harvest at, they have a link to an article they wrote which kinda debunks the whole indicas do this and sativa does that.

Doesn't debunk it, but based on their testing and what they've found. I'll share it via PM if anyone wants.

Not arguing, but I found it interesting coming from a lab. I've since done additional reading and there's more people talking about it then just the lab I'm using, or going to use.

Send me a link please MassMedMan. I'd be very interested in reading it.

You're bangin' it Ziggy. So, for the 100% sativas, what are your thoughts? The roots are too aggressive? They were abundant, but how much do you feel it set them back, if at all?

Edit: Ziggy, I was thinking about the excessive hydro roots you got and I think it may be due to the shallowness of the tray. The system is supposed to be set up so you have a 1.5-2" open space between the water level and the pot bottoms. This keeps those roots from forming. Unfortunately, working with the shelves like we are we lack the headroom necessary to accommodate the deeper SWICK reservoirs that may solve that concern.

:hmmmm: How could I rearrange the space to make that work? Let me take a closer look at the space.

I'd like to read the article as well, thank you

Link going out in few. If I can find the article I read this morning I'll send that also.... I think true strains you can count on certain things, I suppose, but, how many of us are growing land race types.... It's something to think about.

Sending now

ETA.... The link is a pdf file. I'll send you the page the link to the pdf is on. Some interesting stuff these folks are sharing. Can't wait to get something tested there, then I'll have my baseline.

Dropping off first samples Monday...

I was able to get it out, the primary out to Shwanee,, Sweet Sue, it said you blocked PMs or something. I'm doing this from my phone. I'll try again in morning when I'm , ok. Haha.

mcrlabs dot com forward slash resources -- is the url. From there, read the highlighted links. I don't know, I'm just parroting what I read, but, I respect you folks that'll vet it;)

I love learning. Like I said, old school strains are probably more predictable, I think..

3 ACE Purple Malawi are up,
1 WOS Colombian Gold is up
1 WOS Ketama is up!

i topped my 11 Z'ACE strains and am trying to root them. After I topped the plants i had their stems sitting in some water with a few drops of Tea, and a little Humate. Today I dipped stems into rooting gel and placed into a Trea/Humate soaked Rapid Rooter and sprayed with 1/2 normal dose of DeStress.

placed on floor of tent

will keep all
posted on progress.

The topped plants are smelling of weed already. :)

Zamal(+) is excellent!! This was the grape/berry SWICK'd plants... i rolled my first joint, as opposed to bong, and tasted a little of Anise/licorice at end. :)
lighting in short while..

hit hits mostly cerebral but long lasting...colors are accentuated..

This sounds delicious. You lucky man.

I found this interesting. I'm smoking my African Buzz today, my first 100% Sativa, and one of the first things I noticed was that after four little hits my vision perception changed. It's hard to explain, but my brain "saw" in a different, more pleasant way. I didn't know that was possible. :laughtwo:

So did Zamal hit the sweet spot? Which do you like best so far, Ziggs?

Conrad, Yes! Literally too. :)

The strain I've tried the least is the Purple Haze. I've noticed with the other 3, Golden Tiger, Zamal, Panama, the effects on me are different if I smoke them at night than the day.
Hey. It's my weed and I'll hallucinate if I want to...hallucinate if I want to.
I've only tried the P Haze at night twice.
I've tried the Panama the most.
The Zamal I'm smoking is a Zamal(+) seed of mine. It wasn't grown to its full maturity..stalled in the SWICKs and may explain different terps than reported or the phenotype is from the (+) part :)

Mornin Ziggs.....hey Sue, ya with Sativas, the most I notice is the clear buzz with NO crash after a couple hours. My buddy noticed this right away with the Desfran(fast pheno). I can smoke it first thing in the day and not be dragged out for the rest of it. Cheers Sue and have a great day gang!
