DrZiggy's 1st Journal Featuring High Brix - LEDs & Cool Strains

Every time I see your little ones, I'm reminded of that aha moment many months ago, when you decided to go with lots of small plants. :cheesygrinsmiley:

This is really turning out cool! I'm not sure everyone realizes what you're doing. You get an amazing variety, constant harvests, and as much smoke as you can use. Win, win, win. :slide:

Very cool. I like it.

:thumb: like fruit flies! .... One can experiment with quick grows, variety...
..many people have restricted sized grow areas, etc

Is this 'Aha!' moment chronicled in your first journal DrZiggy? I want to read that. You're tempting me. I'm incredibly drawn to your style.

This would be my preference, for sure. I feel blessed to live in one of the few states where growing is currently legal. However, in their infinite wisdom, the legislature only allows 4 mature plants PER HOUSEHOLD. In order to keep it legal, my wife and I are not able to enjoy a broad variety or a perpetual grow.

:Namaste:

Totally understand. It's too bad there is such legal diversity on this subject within this country, but the world seems to be finding its way...I'm an optimist.

Great news.. After reviewing a few decarboxylating articles, some not on 420, 30 min at 245-250F (118-121C) is the time and temperature to decarboxylate THCA to THC.

I just read a pressure cooker can get that hot. Awesome! :thumb:

So im cooking some weed with a vacuum bag and pressure cooker.. 30 min after it came to full pressure.

My vacuum sealer is quite old and i didnt get great seal but it will work regardless.

I Will keep you updated..with pics too :)

This is exciting! Am I correct in thinking you're searching for a faster cure?

Pressure cookers reach very, very high temps. I can cook frozen peas in about 40 seconds in a pressure cooker.....

FYI, an open flame is 450 degrees, while a pressure cooker can easily exceed 600......

I think the max on a typical pressure cooker is just under 260F at sea level. Raising the boiling point even 10-15 degrees makes a huge difference in cooking time.

DrZ, Quality looks amazing. I can't wait to see what your yield is off this recent chop.

A home version pressure cooker has safety valves, not a closed system after a certain pressure is reached on it, and you cant get that high using water.
