DrZiggy's 1st Journal Featuring High Brix - LEDs & Cool Strains

I have an older canon digital camera and it doesn't get those vertical frequency lines through the pictures with the leds on like my cell phone camera does.

I've decided I'm over the infatuation of taking pictures under LED's while they're on. It's just too hard to get a good shot, so I turn off a light here and there if I want to take pics. The 10 seconds it takes isn't hurting anything.

Agreed Gov. I keep one CFL in our Bloom Tent just for pics, turn off the LED panel until we finish. I mean come on, it's not that serious. Even outdoor plants have overhead clouds periodically.

Well hello there! Im a little late to the party but so glad I stumbled onto this journal. I'm a primarily outdoor grower myself but have been interested in this high brix method. Your plants are beautiful and I must say your chef skills are quite astounding as well. I can already tell I'm going to need to keep a snack near by while reading your journal. I'll be watching!

Anyone that has a camera with a lens that can accept screw on filters can us the method seven led filter. It worked really great on my marsii but on the platinum you can see the extra spectrums that the filter wasn't made to handle. I really like the cfl for pictures idea would be cheaper and look better than the filter anyway, wish I would of thought of that or read your suggestion sooner

I just made and drank a pretty awesome drink.
Anyone ever have a creamsicle? Its on a stick, and its frozen orange sherbet(cream ice) with vanilla ice cream in middle.
An Orange Julius would be IMO, its liquid brother( we are talking about a Julius :))

I didnt have CannaCream handy so used regular Heavy or Whipping Cream.

Here is the recipe I just made and had..:)

Orange CannaCreamsical

1 oz CannaCream (chilled)
1 tsp Cannilla
1 tsp CannaGlycerine
1-2 tsp Honey, Agave, or Real Maple Syrup ( you can use equivalent of sugar or any sweetener)*
Any Orange Carbonated Water(Seltzer) or Orange Soda or Pop*-Ice Cold!!
Chilled Drinking Glass

*If using Orange Soda or Pop omit sweetner

Mix CannaCream, Cannilla, Glycerine, and Sweetener until Sweetener is dissolved in chilled glass.
Slowly pour Orange Carbonated water or Orange Soda, Pop stirring to mix.
Fill until foamy head reaches top of glass..
Enjoy!

-this week..I will make some CannaCream, this great drink again, and take photos :)

Sprayed with Brix all of the plants just after Lights on. All except a couple of young, just starting to flower plants, will get Cat drenched next feeding. Plants are doing well. :)
Buds are forming, just getting smells of weed, still little stretching going on.
i.e...The Mexican plant is 8-10" tall, has large buds for their size compared to size of plant. I will observe with this grow and several upcoming ones :), if they actually grow better in lets say 3 gal. pots, or one that allows the roots in the pot to get fill pot in shorter grow time on this 11/13 from seed. my 2 WNs are in different sized pots so will be able to observe it slightly if size matters. I look forward to observing Docs( as always :)) 11/13 when he does it. Hopefully he grows WNs under the 11/13 to see if he gets similar results to his previous grows.

Pics this weekend.

Duggan, Everythings awesome! You? I got some exciting news earlier, Ive been trying to help a friend, and today, it looks like the 'seeds' planted are now 'rooting'. Im very excited and happy for this friend. He deserves it! For like so many here, he constantly shares, and gives and gives, ..his time and expertise to help others, without wanting anything in return. :)
Little Ms. Ziggy is home still due to her school closed for snow.. We will venture out in a bit.
Create a great day! :thumb:

Im ordering another P450 today..im very happy with first one that Santa brought me. Love Santa! :)
My Mars II 1200 is working about 1/2 way, after it fell off the tent rod weeks ago, the working LEDs are in a weird distribution pattern, almost a Tee shape. Will use that to sprout, clone, or fix it if I can, in the coming weeks.
